This is a truly disarming fragrance and, to my taste, a genuine unisex creation. On my skin, it unfolds in layers, moving through several main and intermediate stages: from a fresh citrus opening to an aromatic heart, then into a leathery nuance and finally settling into a calm, woody base. The evolution feels alive and fluid, as if the fragrance is gradually revealing different facets rather than following a rigid structure. What lingers on the skin is refined and thoughtfully composed, yet surprisingly effortless. Despite its complexity, I perceive it as an easy, reliable fragrance one that can be worn 24/7, across all four seasons, without ever feeling heavy or out of place. For women who strongly prefer floral compositions, it may lean too masculine. In that case, I would recommend Grès Piece Unique, which shares a similar DNA but expresses it in a softer, slightly sweeter way. If I were to define it in human terms, this is the kind of fragrance worn by women with integrated masculine energy and by men who are not afraid to let their vulnerability show. Nonconventional blend of black tea with the finest suade broken with orange blossom. There is no harsh note in it - it’s rounded up to perfection. Woody with a prominent tea note, hint of sweetness, some spices and very smooth leathery touch. Autumnal, casual, yet uplifting.

Very subtle. Has smooth, uplifting, optimistic, recreational and sporty blend of notes, like something you would wear on a sunny day after you played tennis and took a shower. Grapefruit, orange, tea. Undertones of wood and patchouli. Citrusy with a bit of tea, but iced tea with lemon is more like it. I don't think this swings male or female. Definitely unisex.

Best way to describe this is an understated, airy and soft, slightly sweet, slightly green, slightly floral fragrance with a woody birch base. Perfect for spring. Subtle and inoffensive. This is definitely an osmanthus scent. Apparently the osmanthus is not in the list, but most osmanthus perfumes are using jasmine or orange blossoms and leather to imitate osmanthus. It’s a great osmanthus scent. Not too sweet or cheap. It’s quite subtle and elegant.

I don't like leather very much so the opening isn't my favorite, but it's also not offensively harsh like many leather fragrances are. I actually quite like the drydown, which is more herbal than I would expect from the notes.

Very nice and polite tea gragrance with citrus undertones, a woody base and a fleur of leather. All of the notes smell exactly as you expect them to in a perfume. Nice enough to be a people-pleaser, but too quiet to get you compliments. Projects very interestingly, where it is easier to smell it from the air rather than from the wrist directly. Unfortunately, on my skin, the smell leaves very quickly, as should be expected from a well-dressed flirt the fragrance takes its name from. Not worth the money.

I'm glad I didn't blind buy this fragrance. I really enjoy leather fragrances, but this is not it. The fragrance opens on a grapefruit/orange blossom note that smells fresh, to me it conjures an image of a yuppie that just got their first leather briefcase, fresh with a distant leather note. Where this fragrance loses me is the dry down, the tea note smells old like lipton tea bags. It sends off the fragrance with a weird fuzzy spice that makes me want to wash it off.

This is unique for a leather scent. Where normally they’re quite rich and smoky, this is cool and restrained. The grapefruit and tea are quite dominant, giving it a crisp peppery flavour. The leather is there, but it’s soft: almost like suede, but without the creaminess. Overall it’s polite and refined; unisex; good for the office. A bit uninteresting for me (and performance is very soft, like all D’Orsay frags) but well executed.

i am trying to hunt down tea fragrances that i love, and it seems that this is not it. i can barely smell this, but my sister and boyfriend can and they both wrinkled their noses and stepped back. i wish we could smell what the other commentators here can

To me a masculine-leaning fragrance. The drydown on my skin reminds me of camphor balls in an old wooden wardrobe at your grandmother's house. Not an unpleasant smell, but not one I would like to carry with me all day either.

Finally a fresh leather scent that is well blended. On my skin however it dries down to something pretty dull, a newly cleaned store that sells leathered goods kinda vibe. Nothing that pulls me in at all so to say!

I sniffed this off someone and to me, it smells like rosemary crackers I'd get from Søstrene Grene. Nice smell, but too foody for my taste

Not a bad scent profile. I'm trying to think of other tea/leather combos I have or have tried and nothing comes to mind. In regards to event appropriateness, I imagine this might be good for a formal or semi-formal summer evening event in a climate controlled building. Leathers aren't typically a goto warm weather choice, but the tea, citrus, orange blossom, and cardamom offer enough freshness and lightness to be warm weather appropriate in climate controlled conditions. And the leather and cedar are dosed mildly enough. But the leather and cedar do impart a heft and gravitas suitable for formal/semi-formal wear. And there is no animalic accord in this fragrance, certainly not the leather, so I don't know why its listed. This does not perform very well though. I don't get those natural, unsolicited whafts to my nose. Still the best of the house in my collection is D'Orsay's Le Dandy Pour Homme, released in 1999. Still my favorite gourmand.

Another cardamom-forward skin scent? That makes four so far. This one stays crisp and greenish instead of warm and musky like the others. More like Totem Yellow Kenzo. It opens with grapefruit and quickly moves onto tea leaves until we can recognize a vague leather accord taking over. Overall, a soft but interesting scent of citrus, tea and leather. And cardamom. Generic but nice. If this line was priced more in line with its’ quality and performance (think Roger & Gallet $120 for 100ml) I would probably buy an array of smaller bottles of my favorites. 3 out of 5.

Amazing uplifting scent. Checking the profile you would expect a rough leathery thing, but it’s not.. it’s totally opposite, soft, very very clean, bright and uplifting because the Thea note is very prominent. The leather is there for sure you can smell it, but it’s just so smooth and perfect blended, it doesn’t come out animalic at all. Longevity and Sillage are pretty ok, it’s a uplifting scent s don’t expect crazy projection, but goal here is to keep it smooth. I’m impressed and happy to have a bottle. 7/10

Soft, spiced, fresh, clean and cosy. The leather is more reminiscent of typical suede interpretations than the animalistic type. It's an odd perfume, hard to pin down, and it keeps surprising me. I'm a woman and I wouldn't wear it, but I love it on a man. A fragrance for a masculine but gentle person. Quietly confident, with a presence that doesn't demand attention, but gets it anyway. I can't think of an occasion that this would clash with, it's really an alrounder.

So well blended you will wonder if its actually a leather. This is smooth and bright more like an herbal tea and less like a musky leather. Pleasant enough for a woman to want to wear it too. It's not the same as Gris Charnel but it does behave similarly. Smooth with only a hint of masculinity. I love it and purchased the 50ml. Don't be put off by the initial animalic scent of the first spray. It settles to a smooth palitable scent quickly.

Big fan of this but wish it lasted longer. The cardamom top note really does it for me and pairs so pleasantly with grapefruit. It then blends into a floral black tea which then blends into a light suede-like cedar. The note list is incredibly spot-on in experience. Feels light, airy, almost refreshing? Surprising given the leather note. Tempted to buy a larger sample and overspray it to see how long I can get it to last.

Dandy is described as "a man unduly devoted to style, neatness, and fashion in dress and appearance." There is no mention of fragrant so perhaps it explains why this is one of the most revolting fragrances I have ever smelled. Harsh, strange, pungent, synthetically animalic. Dandy or Not? NOT!!!

One of the best from this fragrance house, I think. Reminds me somehow of Lvce Dell’est by Profumum Roma, though the notes are different. The same sweet yet gender neutral vibe. I love the tea note in this one, you can’t miss it.

A great office wear. The woodiness turns into a bit leather on skin as time passes and woodiness is vaguely sweet (maybe the effect of cardamom). Great office wear and signature perfume!!
