Airy Linens

has to be one of my favorite scents, smells like perfect fresh laundry. beautiful floral notes. can't wait to layer it.

*fragrantica doesn’t have a listing for floral aldehydes so this is a mixed review of both* I recently smelled this one, the airy linens and really prefer this one ☝️!! I’m currently kicking myself atm as I stupidly got confused online and accidentally bought the floral aldehydes dossier, and all I smell is thick oppressive powder!! Fml. 🤦♀️ I am actually a lover of Chanel Leau and Eau Premiere (and yes even the vintage Chanel) and I’m never really happy with the dupes!? The “sparkling” is missing from floral aldehydes and imo the airy linens as well? I know there’s aldehydes, but when buying a *dupe* of Chanel? The aldehydes never smell spot on!? At least to me!! I think Chanel is honestly the BEST when it comes to aldehydes period. I think floral aldehydes is very much ALL powder. I do think airy linens is much lighter not as oppressive! What I love about 5 and the two flankers I love? Is how the citrus sparkles with aldehydes and the sexy musky base... but again; I don’t get that with Dossier Aldehydic dupes!? I can say that for those that are fussy about aldehydes ? Go for airy linens it’s lighter and doesn’t give powder it does indeed give more of an airy linen vibe! So get this one don’t get the one I got!! Eh (And if you want leau or Eau premiere? Save money and get the real thing!)

I feel like if you were a fan of BBW’s Sea Island Cotton or Cotton Blossom, you’ll like Airy Linens. It’s very clean and fresh, definitely gives clean laundry vibes. Clean laundry with Downy April Fresh fabric softener. IYKYK. EDIT: Ok. So I had to come back and update my review because I just sprayed this perfume again and it smelled like kitty litter. That’s right, KITTY LITTER. The kind with the deodorizers in it. Like, wtf? What happened? I really thought I liked it when I sprayed it earlier. I might test it again later just to be sure but I think I’m gonna have to return this. It got sour on me. I’m so disappointed.

The Tiktok influencers definitely influenced me. I was expecting so much more of an ethereal or airy experience. I was expecting something like 'Not A Perfume' plus a linen note. The reviewers on TikTok will have you thinking this is something special, but this honestly smells like your generic fresh cotton or linen scent but with a sharp note that I cant quite put my finger on. Like laundry that sat in the washer for too long and now needs ran through another cycle. Disappointing.

Finally got to try this. Nowhere near as aldehydic as I expected. Zero similarities to Blanche, so I wonder why dossier discontinued their Blanche dupe. This is not an outright detergent scent at all in my opinion. More like a clean fluffy cotton scent with florals and sweetness. The closest "laundry" scent I have smelled is Sun Bleached from Une Nuit Nomade. In fact they are honestly very similar so could be good for someone not wanting to pay niche prices. Also smells similar to Dossier's Free the Musk minus the warm spices. Must be why dossier recommends layering the two.

Looking forward to people adding reviews to this. All I can find are PR influencers reviews. I do have to say Dossier needs to chill with their pricing on original creations. This should be priced around $20 instead of $50 if they want to sell more than just dupe fragrances
