Aquatic Coconut

This is one of the first scents that I tried from dossier and I loved it! It smells tropical without smelling cliche. I enjoyed Dossier’s dupe so much that I wanted to try the original, Replica’s Beach Walk. They smell the same to me but Replica has a bit more longevity.

really nice... expected a lot more tropical and citrus though. it just kind of smells like soap and flowers. mildly disappointed but i hope the person im gifting it to for their bday likes it.

Smells like sunscreen but in a good way, definitely summer in a bottle.

Dossier Aquatic Coconut is very much a feminine scent and one of the more feminine scents I've own and I do own quite a few unisex fragrances even some that lean feminine. I think only one that I own is as if not more feminine and that was a take on flowerbomb that Bigelow and Bath and Body Works teamed up on. I don't recall Beach Walk being as much of one, but it is. If you are male and want a similar beachy fragrance, Dua #BeachVibes could be a good option. The reason I find it feminine is the ylang-ylang note that for me even though it is a mid note, it is a note I get mixing in with the citrus made of bergamot and lemon. I do also get the coconut up top but as much as the ylang-ylang. That said it dies off an hour in and goes more coconut. I do not really notice the pink pepper and heliotrope. The tonka is barely there but it isn't that sweet. The fragrance lasts about three to four hours. I feel it works for more casual use than I would say Beach Walk would be. Seasonality is spring but more so summer. I would wear it for days or afternoons but not night specifically. I wouldn't spray after 6. Aquatic Coconut smells beachy. I mentioned #BeachVibes as an option, especially since On the Beach is discontinued and was more expensive. That said it was more sandy and less floral. Of course if you want to pay for it Beach Walk itself is pretty similar though I think it was less ylang-ylang heavy to my nose than this is especially off the top. Dossier can make good Maison Margela clones so I was a little let down by this spring summer scent. Those two being Woody Chestnut is really good but not as good as say Stronger With You (but to be fair By the Fireplace is different than Stronger With You and its clones and dupes) and the amazing Woody Tobacco (how is this Jazz Club dupe missing from the database?) So I am not sure what it was here with Aquatic Coconut. For this I rate it a 7. I likely will pass it off to my girlfriend if I can.

Dossier has been on a roll lately. This is officially my go to summer scent. So delicious, sunscreen scent without being a true sunscreen scent. It’s absolutely amazing at an amazing price!!
