Powdery Tobacco

If you want a fragrance with very true honey and/or ginger notes like I did, then this is it. Dossier is very hit or miss for me, and this was a hit since it is so clean and powdery in addition to having those very authentic, natural scents incorporated. I think 18% perfume concentration in this blend is very cost efficient and therefore effective in this case, considering its low price point. And that's a good thing for this particular perfume, in a unique turn of events (certainly seems to be the norm that cheaper =/= better, usually, in the world of perfumes). It's not cloying or headache-inducing...just a very nice photorealistic honey with a very mild, malty-vanillic tobacco. No suspicious notes of grape soda like so many of Dossier frags have to my nose. FWIW, the new Dark Black or whatever it is, is pretty redundant to this, just has a slightly more pronounced suede note and an added incense note. Has the same sweet honeyed tobacco-- good gateway to darker scents IMHO

It's sweeter than tobacco vanille with a strong honey and fruit scent. The sweetness makes it lean more traditionally feminine and I actually prefer this to the original tobacco vanille inspiration.

Very nice sweet, rich tobacco/vanilla smell. Makes me think of how a rich guy in the deep south would smell.

I really like this fella and I wear it frequently in the colder months. It's pretty cut-and-dry in its opening; I get the most of the tobacco and spicy ginger upon first spray. Once it dries down, the powdery vanilla and tonka bean come through to soften the initial scent. On myself, I end up with somethin almost lactonic...kinderr like a chai latte. It's especially nice layered with other sweet n creamy scents to bring out that cozy feelin. I understand why this one is polarizing since it lacks complexity and can smell a little medicinal to some, but I personally find it real swell!!

I like this one quite a bit! It comes out very peppery (which is great on my boyfriend) and with strong vanilla. The dry down does get much sweeter I think, and can start to smell a lot like craft root beer. I would like it much more if it wasn't SO sweet, but overall a really nice scent. It also has great projection. When he gets in my car the entire car smells like vanilla pepper.

Honestly? Better than Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille. My one qualm with that fragrance is that it's too tobaccoey with not enough vanilla. This fragrance solves that problem. I'm a big wintertime fragrance lover, so this is far from my favorite in that regard, but it is good.

Very very close to the original Tobacco Vanille... 95% there, but there is a little something missing I can't describe. If you are looking for a dupe this is definitely worth it. Other people would not be able to tell the difference.

Opening smells strongly of a tobacco plant, with a nice dry down of smooth vanilla that is pretty addicting. I also think for the price, this is a great deal for anyone.

I got this for my boyfriend and we both love it. When he wears it I always tell him he smells like a sweet slice of pumpkin pie with cream

Have never tried tobacco vanille by TF so this is just my impressions of it on its own. I find it personally way too sweet and gourmand (I don't like honey so thats probably not helping its case). I see it listed as more masc/unisex on here but it's giving femme to me personally. I was hoping for something way smokier and vanilla extract-y, but I don't think that is what its going for so I dont take points off. Its not a bad perfume in my opinion, I haven't noticed any of the bad stuff people have talked about in the reviews but it's just not for me personally

The tobacco note is SO strong and synthetic on the open. It reminds me of Virginia tobacco flavored juul lol. When it dries down it’s definitely more vanilla and powdery. I love a gourmand and especially one mixed with spices but this dries down to be very simple and linear. I honestly don’t think I really care for this perfume because the opening is so synthetic and a little nauseating and it dries down to plainly.

Powdery chia latte with spicy ginger, and cacao. I get the root beer note another reviewer mentioned. I haven’t smelled the original, but this is not going to be a purchase for me. On the positive side it has good projection. And the scent certainly isn’t horrible, and it smooths out on the dry down. It’s a unisex fragrance. 6.5/10

Extremely subtle to me. After a few hours, I don't smell it anymore besides the notes of powdery vanilla. Doesn't give off much tobacco vibes, in my opinion, due to how citrus-y it is with the apricot and ginger. Wouldn't buy it again if I had suitable alternatives, but it isn't horrible.

it’s very Similar To TF without the intensity. If you really like Tobacco vanille but will never spend the cash....get this one.... But it doesn’t have the power as the original .

The ginger in the opening sucks. Dry down is ok. Tabac treasure from zara is way better, too bad its discontinued.

I was very let down upon receiving this. It did not smell a whole lot like TF Tobacco Vanille, and lacked the warm musk I associate with the original. I ended up using it as a bathroom air freshener and didn’t even like it for that. Perhaps it was the batch I received, but unfortunately this fragrance alone made me avoid Dossier these past couple years.

This perfume smells like straight clove essential oil.

Rancid sour, stuffy, powdery, sickly sweet, smoky, weird.. gross... and the apricot cacao and tobacco notes clash with each other. Yuck. And to think I'm a tobacco lover. I had sent it back. Dossier is very risky to play with. I'm reading the reviews to see if anyone else suffered as much as I did from smelling this stinky nasty juice. I love weird scents and I can grow to love them but I'm also prone to nausea. I couldn't help it and the smoother it got on my skin the more horrendous it became. Let's award it the 3rd place in the most atrocious perfumes I've smelled in my life list. I'll give you my list btw for shits and giggles. Place 2 is occupied by Pêche Délicieuse Le Monde Gourmand. The winner spot is taken by Silk of Paris by the Dua for Soie Malaquais by Dries Van Noten. Dusty carry on rotten eggs basically. (Beware of the plethora of good reviews). Number 3 is Magnetic Moon by The Dua 4 is Touched by an Angel by the Dua 5 is Ajwa Dates Milk. 6 is Milky Yogurt Caramel Cake by the Dua for Vanilla Cake by Montale but I kept it and after 2 years I still try to stomach it, it's more tolerable now. 7 is Yara and Cocoa Sunset Zara.

I get such a horribly strong powdery note from this; it gave me a headache every time I so much as sniffed it. I had to give it to a friend- HATED this one.

Super sweet baby powder and fake tobacco smell. Like using a baby wipes container as a cigar box. No!

This is absolutely horrendous. It smells so synthetic and gave me and my sister a headache when I put it on. I have not tried Tom Ford version of this. But oh my lord this is terrible. First off, it starts out sweet like you expect from a vanilla fragrance. But as times goes on it is just a pure headache. It took only one spray on my elbow to give me a headache. So when you start smelling it you instantly get a sweet Tobacco. Then after you get a big headache as you realize that the smell is synthetic and is too sweet for your liking. It does project well however.

just picked this up at walmart. this may be "inspired by" TF but it is NOT tobacco vanille. There is way too much ginger, a note TF does not even have. It's no a terrible fragrance for the price I paid, but it's not what i expected. I mostly get Ginger and honey. Ive only had it on for 30 minutes now so maybe the dry down will be better but right now, not so much.

I think if you ignore that this is supposed to be a dupe for TF, it's a likeable scent that I've actually gotten a couple compliments on. The honey and powdery notes are fairly forward, but not cloyingly. It's pretty one-note, but it's a good note. Can be pretty strong, especially on clothes, and lasts most of the day on me.

I really enjoy this! Had no idea what to expect. It smells like swisher sweets in a great way. Very sweet, fresh tobacco leaf, and vanilla. Dries down to a more soft slightly fruity vanilla with the tobacco note lingering in the background.

Smells like a big, cheap fragrance oil candle, from the retail close-out store. As a layering tool, it works, just don't overspray (keep away from head area) I would not wear this by itself.

Overly sweet kinda disgusting tbh it's not worth the money
