Rokk

Rokk perfume was launched in 2019 and is part of the Iceland Collection, created by niche brand Dotti Perfumes. The collection pays tribute to the strength of the Scandinavian people, the beauty of the aurora borealis and the forests of Iceland. In addition, there is a concept worked in the background, which brings the language of Runes, where each fragrance has its own personality. The Icelandic word Rokk means rock in English and this fragrance symbolizes the volcano that can be seen in the distance during a climb through the mountains of Iceland. Its rune is Raidho and represents journey; perfect balance; order. Its composition lists notes of white thyme, calone, tarragon, Spicata mint, and Sicilian lemon, in the output; African geranium, Himalayan cedar, black pepper and fir balm, in the body; Amiris sandalwood, violet, amber, coumarin, vetiver, and patchouli, in the base. On the skin, Rokk is the most balanced and pleasant among the perfumes of this new collection. Although marketed by the brand as a masculine fragrance, I would not be surprised if it became a big hit among women. From the moment it touches the skin, it brings a woody and fresh smell that reminds some species of pine cones and Christmas themes of places with snow. Although it brings such a Nordic accord (I explained in Nakinn's review), this time the mint only emphasizes freshness, creating an aroma of warm, fresh contrasts. In the body, geranium gives floral and more masculine nuances, while the fir balm brings the most resinous facets. And even with a sweet strand from the beginning, it is over time that the creamy base reveals itself. Amber, sandalwood, and coumarin have never get along so well before, by the way. Rokk is a beautiful woody-fougère, who suits the man who has a strong personality but does not give up being humble. It is a soft yet strong fragrance; modern yet classic; innovative, yet without mysteries. In my opinion, it is the best fragrance ever created by Rodrigo Lombardi for Dotti Perfumes so far.
