Tubercoleuse

Thomas Bernhard Tuberculosis was defined as the evil of the poor and prostitutes, but throughout the nineteenth century it affected every social class, sweeping every class. Under the name of "thin sore", It bring to death, among others, artists such as Amedeo Modigliani, Wolfgang Goethe, Emily Brontë and Fryderyk Chopin. Saying that Tubercouleuse is a difficult fragrance would be a pale understatement. At times, it has a strange, initially balsamic, reminiscent of a hospital, but it has something that attracts, almost epidemic. An incredibly carnal tuberose, surrounded by leathery, animalic notes, making it hard and unusual. If we talk about artisticity, this fragrance can be counted among those that fully reflect this concept. Like everyone , i want my first to be a special one. My fragrance journey started twelve years ago, so i think I waited long enough to write down my experiences, and so far this occasion, i choose this one for the beginning. Please don’t judge my english tho. As far as i experienced, there’s no such thing as objectivity when we talk about perfumes, every soul have their own calling, every aura fills itself differently, and these were my anchor points when i put my point of view on the table. So please accept my first love letter to perfumery, and thank you fellow fragheads for the countless essays which i read from you at each scent. ... The short version is: Its: smoke,incense,rose,burned meat, oud, pepper, gasoline, rubber. Stays forever, transforms quite a lot. The Tubercolouse is an almost perfect name for this one. I rephrased this sentence like five times and I tell you why. You WANT to smell something subtle horrendous, dark, insidous, invisible and yet lively -as the pathogens are crawling inside deceased patients, and deserted streets with gasoline induced bonefires after war, or the strangling feeling inside chain-filled rubbery S&M club. At the first spray you get the smoke from the fire. But it will fade away slowly. After a few second the potent incense kicks in, and stays as a cloak, which guarding the quiet rose-like accord. Its a very incense heavy fragrance, and for that reason, i have the piety, devotional feeling as the time goes by with her. It’s a grieving widow, who just entered the church with freshly stolen flowers from the near cemetery. The burnt meat smell quietly sneaks after the rose, but its very, very shy, and became a bit resionous and ambient with time. There’s gasoline and diluent here and there. But the incense stays, and rules. ... If you smelled Maison Margielas Fireplace, and ELDOs Intense Incense, then imagine if these two has a one night stand within a Michelin tirefactory. Mysterious, dark, yet no evil, and absolutely not fearsome as tubercolouse itself. If you are into dualities, and want to wear a polarizing, dark, sinister scent, which has more beauty -than some other (shockingly few) reviews state-, then you definitely need to try this. Do not be afraid from blind purchase, but be caotious; this in not an easy scent. It will fill your presence with blinding black light

Thank you @Khinuperfumes for that perfect review fom the bottom of my heart. I am extremely sensitive (severe migraines) with rubber notes and I would have spent a fortune importing this to Australia so thank you so much for posting an honest unbiased review. Including the rubber description is an important note that a lot of people would not have shared (because they know it puts a lot of people off). Thank you for also comparing it to ELDO II and MM BTF as I and most people have/had both (or can easily smell it at most perfume shops) and are very familiar with the scent profile. I truly appreciate you!
