Smells like sitting on the patio eating dinner with your partner or friends after a long day walking around the city. The citrus woody perfume you sprayed on earlier before heading out now mixed with the slightly salty, very human smell of your skin after kicking up a bit of a sweat throughout the afternoon. The night is young. scent breakdown - Opens up with a super unique mixture of bright, creamy bergamot + orange blossom contrasted against some pencil shavings-esque woody vetiver, very bold and punchy off the rip. As it begins to dry down, the creamy citrus + white florals mix with some dry vanilla and a slight bit of unlisted fresh spices like pepper and cumin which add an odd slightly salty, skin-like accord. Not a ton of variation after the skin accord and vanilla pop out, but the focus never really leaves the bergamot and white florals until the deep deep dry down. personal thoughts - One of, if not the oddest designer scents I've tried in a very very long time. I was sort of taken aback when trying this the first time as the savory, saltiness is really jarring when you go in expecting a bergamot and vanilla fragrance, but it's kind of addicting to me now. It's kind of hard to point to analogs on the market right now, but if you've ever had salted vanilla ice cream and smelled it, that's a good place to start to sort of understanding the salty sweet consistency that makes this fragrance unique. The best part about it is: IT WORKS. If you like your sweetness with a bit of salt or savory-ness, this might be worth a check out. I've been really blown away by DVN's catalog, and it's slowly climbing up my personal ranking of designers to the top 5. Every single one of their scents (save for cannabis patchouli imo), are fairly unique and yet fairly wearable/easy to wrap your head around. This one took me 10 or so wearings before it clicked with me, but I cannot recommend it enough, top 5 from the house. performance - Really amazing performance for an EDT with 8-10 hours solid arm length + projection and another 2-3 of intimate wear. rating - 8.7/10. Signature Scent Worthy when to wear - Early dinners and drinks downtown with friends and loved ones; Fall days strolling around a harvest market, the crisp autumn air covering you like a blanket; Late spring cleaning days when you feel like you want to reorganize the entire layout of your room. song vibe - Shame by Zhane TLDR - Fresh Bergamot + Creamy Orange Blossom + Woody Vetiver + Dry Vanilla + Distinct Salty skin-accord. If you're looking for a vanilla in the hotter weather that's unique, fun, and yet dashingly dirty, this is a good one to try. Takes a while to wrap your head around the salty, sweet, and clean combo, but after awhile it'll become one of the most addicting scents in your collection. One of the very few cumin fragrances that gets an A+, let alone a pass from me.

The last perfume I bought before this one was 130 (local currency) and I thought that was a fair bit. Then I smell this while waiting for assistance in a store and I fell in LOVE. I thought I might get a decanter or sample online because it is almost 400 (local currency) which is insane to me to spend on a perfume when I already have so many at various price points (I think aside from this one, my most expensive perfume is Coco Mademoiselle which is almost half the price of this one). The reviews on this page were so helpful in convincing myself not to buy it but unfortunately I was back in the same store a day later and sprayed my wrist. I was beating off compliments all day with a STICK. I have never once been complimented on my perfume aside from when I've asked someone "oh, hey what do you think of my perfume?" I bought it the following day. I smell amazing and I have to resist walking around and obnoxiously sniffing myself. I do have comments though that might help others: - Idk where the hell DvN got that this is a unisex fragrance. Yes a man could totally wear this and smell great. But there is definitely a femininity to the vanilla and orange blossom combo despite it being a more mature vanilla. There is still a sweetness to this. - I would not say this is linear but the changes are subtle and almost continuous. If you like stronger perfumes with intenser notes, and EDPs over colognes and EDT then this might not feel like good bang for your buck. - It DOES last well though which is great because my skin can dissolve a lot of lighter-weight perfumes within an hour. Sillage also decent but not offensively intrusive or anything. - There is a lingering secret note not advertised and while waiting to purchase this I smelled a few other EDP offered by DvN and smelled it there as well. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it's very faint and comparatively linear to the rest of this perfume. The best way I can describe it is if someone made a menthol smell that had no mint. I assume it's part of the carrying oil, possibly the coumarin in the ingredients that is contributing the Tonka Bean note but is noted can also be part of lavender and mint notes. Idk if this would be as obvious to everyone but it is to me so I'm sharing that.

I received a sample of this with my recent order and I was intrigued at first smell. I knew I had to wear this after I first sprayed it on my forearm. I fell in love as soon as I wore this properly for the first time! I have found myself craving this scent over the last couple weeks, and I am wearing it for the second time today. I now know this will DEFINITELY be a full bottle for me! lol These two opposites of fresh bergamot and warm vanilla are blended so harmoniously in Sur Ma Peau. I swear I get a hit of dopamine each time I smell how the freshness and warmth blend together throughout the day. After about 6-7 hours the vanilla becomes more of the star, but I can still smell the orange blossom and vetiver grounding the fragrance. Performance is absolutely BEASTLY especially considering this is both a citrus and an EDT! I get nostalgic Christmas vibes each time I smell the fragrance, but I wouldn't categorize this into a "winter" fragrance only by any means. Such a unique vanilla that I can see myself wearing year-round. Unisex for sure! Update: 1 day later and I have my bottle on the way! Cannot remember the last time a fragrance got me so excited and am looking forward to my new samples as well! lol

This scent is addictive. That's the best way to describe it taking into account that I can't stop reaching for it despite not finding it exactly pleasant. It is not unpleasant either, it is hard to describe. Overall I enjoy it, but, as have been mentioned before, there is something funky, animalic, dirty on it. I am not sure what is it, maybe the vetiver. It is not a BAD smell, just smell "human" (like saliva or sweat, not necessarily stinky, but human). It almost smell like the body of someone you love, and whose scent you love: salty, animal, but also warm and familiar. But, even with that note that bothers me, I keep getting whiffs of this perfume and thinking how good it smells. It is citrusy, woody and herbal. Light and bright, but quite noticeable for an EDT. The profile is similar to Tilia's but without the potent yellow flowers. This perfume attracts me a lot, but I'm not sure if it is something I would wear or I just want to sniff from my wrists.

The opening is very similar to Tuberose Astrale and this is how you know the nose to this is Quentin Bisch; I am not a fan of this opening but this quickly turns into a very pleasant, mildly sweet and fruity scent. It’s so pretty I can endure the (thankfully short lived) intense, almost peppery opening. This one is a keeper.
