I love this and if you (in USA) have a bottle that's not working for you, I would love to buy/trade. This is androgynous perfection on my skin. It smells pleasantly metallic, like the surface of the ocean after being struck by lightning. There's salt, kelp, a cool wind moving over water, but also leather and a hint of deep vanilla sweetness. Brine, wet sand, something herbal/spicy, something almost almost like mint. It's mellow, it doesn't project far, but it would be off-puttingly harsh if it did. I generally despise marine/aquatic fragrances because they're so artificial and sharp and never smell anything like the ocean, but this comes across as natural, like it's how my skin is supposed to smell. It really does remind me of the ocean. I can see this working well in any season, and I am very hopeful that DS & Durga bring it back because I need it to be my signature scent. I love the partnership with CETI, too. This fragrance matches the theme perfectly. It doesn't smell like whales, though, which is not a bad thing. I love whales, but I've never met one that smelled very good.

Skin tested in store and it was fascinating. At first did not like the scent because of harsh opening notes, extremely ozonic, but then faded down into a more pleasantly ozonic scent (similar to other DS and Durga ozonic perfume DNA). Very aquatic and oceany, almost went a little swimming pool at the opening but definitely calmed down to a more natural water smell. An hour in it was incredibly sweet? Not sure exactly how or why but it was interesting as other scents from the house tend to settle in a little more bitter or dull. Became less sweet after a few hours. One of my favorites from this store visit.

Just received this and I’m actually quite a fan! It has the Durga dna for sure (think of an aquatic take on debaser). Lots of ambergris/amber and It wears really well and even though it has seaweed in the notes it’s not salty or fishy. It’s really smooth and last a good 6 hours with moderate sillage. If your looking for a nice calming fragrance for the summer that’s not a citrus I would give it a shot. 8/10 for me 😌.

I actually really enjoyed this perfume. So much so I purchased it in-store since I don't have many marine aquatics in my collection. I get a vague berryness to the scent which adds a nice freshness. It is sweet, though. I find the wear to be nice, and while it lasts and lingers, it's not overbearing. Definitely not for everyone but im happy to have it in my collection, and I keep coming back to it for the past week.

Tried this on in store. Kind of like rockaway beach but with a more masculine, leathery undertone. I like it very much. Longevity was good too. Certainly torn between getting it or an old bottle of rockaway

I usually can’t do anything marine - Heeley Sel Marin turned fishy on me. Any of the Acqua Di Gio colognes end up having an overpowering scent that goes right up into my sinuses and lingers, blocking anything else. The same thing happened to me with Parfumum Roma Acqua di Sale and Lorenzo Pazzaglia’s Blak and Artik sea fragrances. This one I enjoyed - reminded me of when I was a kid on vacation at the shore in New England and you could smell how the salt air had gotten in to everything. This is also on the lighter side for me - my SO is a super smeller and can be very sensitive, and she had no issues with this one. The ambergris/amber notes in the base are warm and vanillic without being overpowering, so points for that as well. I don’t know that I’d spend $250 on a bottle - the base is nice, but not 100% to my liking. That doesn’t change the fact that I think this is very well done.

Love love love love LOVE! There’s a funky note that really stands out and captivates me that I’m guessing is the seaweed. Aside from a fleeting berry note I get in the opening this is so refreshing in its dryness. So nostalgic for me as someone who grew up by the beach. I love marine/aquatic frags and this is spot on realistic without veering into sunscreen/tropical fruits territory. It’s beachy in a crisp breeze, overcast afternoon with a storm on the horizon way.

This is far and above the best marine/oceanic fragrance I’ve ever smelled. It’s like being out on the water, not on the shore—and definitely not at low tide, with those unpleasant additions. The ambergris accord is also salty, in a complimentary way, while adding an ambergris sweetness to round things out. All of it has a beautiful depth, and I find myself just wanting to drift away on it. M
