White Peacock Lily

I do not understand how/why there are so many downvotes here on the comparison to Carnal Flower. No, they aren’t identical, but this is the closest perfume I’ve ever come across that even compares. And I say this as a huge carnal flower fan who wasted sooo much money searching for smell-alikes based on fragrantica votes that resulted in nearly 50 bottles of “tuberose” perfume decluttered from my collection that smelled nothing like flowers at all. ::end vent:: This is freaking gorgeous. I don’t even recall the random browsing that put this on my radar but I discovered it less than a month ago. I owned some scents by DSD before but none were white florals, and none were so elegant. Full disclosure, I love realistic plant-y white florals. That’s pretty much all this scent is about. If you’re not a white floral fan and hate indolic scents, then move on elsewhere, nothing for you here. This never turns sour or indolic on me. It smells like wet flowers. Very realistically, like standing in a flower shop. If you told me it was the exact same tuberose extract used to make carnal flower with a touch of lily, I’d believe you. It lacks some of the green notes and coconut of carnal flower, but it has its own subtle green-ness and a dewy flower garden vibe. To me, they’re different enough to own both, but they’re nearly half sisters. Maybe cousins. I don’t mind having a large collection of scents I change every day or two. I personally now own 5 different scents that I’d put in this family and they are the prized jewels of my collection. It projects within arms reach for more than 6 hours, though it’s a softer scent and quite simple, so it’s subtle. It layers nicely and adds depth to my other fragrances. I can smell it up close for many hours after and I catch whiffs of this the next day. Great performance for a scent like this. It’s quite elegant and I’d put it in the “wedding perfume” category. It smells romantic, classic, and natural. Perfect for days spent in nature and fancy dinners, or visits to an art museum or an evening gala. Pretty and simple enough that I will also wear it on day dates to the park, afternoons lounging on the patio, date nights, and cold winter days when I’m craving spring. This is a masterpiece. Such a successful blind buy! Already adding a backup bottle to my wish list.

A home run that sent me scrambling on an immediate search for a bottle (which I lucked out on and found at a really great price). This is a flower blossom bonanza, that's airy and light, yet grounded too. It didn't start out that way though. It started out very strange, and a little hard to describe, like a dank earthiness. I just was not sure where this was going, though it wasn't offensive enough where I felt the urge to wash it off. Just a little dark and weird. Fortunately, that opening passes soon enough to reveal a beautiful floral scent. And what a scent it is. It absolutely floored me. It is the most beautiful lily perfume I have ever smelled. While the sweet oleander is wonderful, it is the Lily that steals the show. It has the most wonderful earthiness that brings to mind lilies grown in situ, with the emphasis on the sweet, creamy flowers, no doubt helped by the whipped cream. It is wonderfully accentuated with the ambrette which adds an animalic muskiness, that with the lightly indolic lily, is just enough to make this sexy. But what really sets this apart for me from other white floral perfumes is something that comes out later in the base. I've never smelled Cabreuva, and if that is what I am picking up, then I am enchanted by what it adds to this scent. It's an earthy, sweet woodiness that doesn't read like a heavy wood, barely reads like wood at all actually, but smells like the sweet smell you sometimes pick up when out in the wilderness. The sweet scent of the woods after it rains to be specific. Between it and the ambrette, it provides this beautiful musky, mossy, earthy base from where the floral notes float around it. It is just breathtakingly beautiful! And to top it all off, this has perfect silage that gives me lovely wafts of this heavenly scent all day. Considering the size of my wardrobe, it is crazy how much I adore this scent. I will definitely need a backup of this. Edit 11/12 - OMG! I have become obsessed with this scent. I can't get enough of it! It just knocked Eric Butterbaugh's Regal Tuberose out of Signature Scent place. Quite a feat, because I thought nothing could eclipse that.

This is a very friendly Lily fragrance. Not overpowering. Pretty yet seductive. This is the lady like scent for wearing at night. It's classy and exotic. Certainly an interesting combination. Forget the headache inducing plastic lilo of the oriental lilies. This is virtuous Madonna Lily. I can't really pick up the cream but I do get the fresh aquatic and grapefruit notes up front. The jasmine is very to the fore. The citrus, mellow and aquatic note lift and freshen the jasmine and Lily. They keep it cool and airy if that makes sense. Florals are tricky with me. Many start off with great promise yet fall at the dry down and others are just too much for me. It is particularly curious as I am very keen gardener and I favour all plants etc with fragrance. This doesn't alter dramatically along its timeline for which I am grateful. The Lily and jasmine wain a little and then I am a more aware of the ambrette and violet. The ambrette is the last note to fade. Im so relieve the ambrette has not ruined the scent for me on this occasion. I wish it had more sillage. The longevity is moderate. I think it's a beautiful floral and it's name really suits it.

There are three elements to White Peacock Lily. The first thing that hits you is a blue shower gel type aqua note that is reminiscent of Hermes Narcisse Bleu. A kind of fresh, neroli type feel that must be from the grapefruit, oleander and watery notes. This only lasts a minute or two. Then the fleshy ripe white flowers kick in and it is deeply floral. I'd say its 70% lily and 30% indolic jasmine but there is a green freshness underneath it all. Finally, a soft creaminess envelops everything making this smooth and supple. It's not like a cheap whipped cream out of an aerosol can, but real buttery cream you use for cooking. This part is way more savory then sweet and i find this completely unisex. The sweet floral notes are about even with the fresh watery clean notes (maybe Blue Peacock Lily would have been a better name). It wears extremely well on the skin, it kind of melts in then radiates softly for hours, a good indicator of the quality. Lots of love and hate for this one, but this get a big love from me. This was blind buy but I'll be getting a back up bottle as it's perfect choice for warmer weather. Thumbs way up.

This was an instant 'love' for me - I kept sniffing the test strip over and over, and couldn't get it out of my head...until I caved and bought it, a year later! It's a sexy-yet-classy white floral that's not too sweet. Probably more leaning on feminine, although I wouldn't consider it hugely feminine either. It's a strong lily with noticeable bitter citrus undertones (grapefruit pith and not just grapefruit, as the notes here say - it's more similar to petitgrain or neroli than straight-up grapefruit) on a soft musky base that keeps it from being too 'clean' or 'translucent'. Although it lists jasmine in the notes, I can't say I really smell it - perhaps that's what's keeping it from being too sweet, but I don't smell any of the usual indoles jasmine usually comes with. Longevity and silage are above average. All in all, a very sophisticated yet sultry smell, and very distinct. Possibly not a blind buy, but I'd happily buy again.

Opium could never *finger snap* Gets right into the heart of what any flower smell is about: the aroma of a pistil. Powdery-buttery-nostril clogging beauty. Indistinct and addictive. An equivalent of shoving your face into a lily bouquet. You can almost physically feel the flower pollen getting all over. Hyper realistic effect is achieved with supreme aroma blending: there should be some “notes” here - it’s a complex aroma - but I don’t get much. Definitely oleander? More of an impression of it than the actual smell. Smoldering and dangerous. Some distant humidity and wetness, like the bouquet was carried through a rain. Unforgettable perfume for an unforgettable woman. Of course, not for a jeans and t-shirt situation, but I don’t mind wearing a dress for it. I feel like men would fall in love with me just for this smell alone.

As other reviewers have mentioned, there's a heavy dose of indol here. If you like your white floral fragrances to smell dank and almost hyperreal, this is definitely it. On first spray there's an undeniable orange blossom note that meshes with the lily and jasmine beautifully -- like a hybrid flower carrying the genes of all three. But for me, the smearing of Nerium oleander in the fragrance is what keeps me coming back. It reminds me of the oleander bushes my aunt and uncle had in their yard, and how ripe the blossoms would smell during the summer. Like many other DS&D fragrances, there's an element of irreverence here that's really endearing. There's a creamy, animalic, powdery vibe that you really only get from high-quality 'fumes.

Glamorous....A damp and creamy lily scent, referring to flowers as they actually exist in the world. I’ve had this perfume about two years, and the top notes have been obliterated (presumably due to age); the immediate whiff after spraying is now mostly alcohol. Soon after I get something I quite like, it is cool rather than warm but retains something of the peppery spiciness lilies tend to give off. It’s distinct from a tuberose fragrance, and not at all soapy or high-pitched, as I find many white florals tend to be. It’s not particularly green to my nose. A long-lasting scent, pairs well with humidity. Nice on a man too...

Absolutely beautiful! It's one of my favourite perfume purchases this year. This to me this smells like the most beautiful bouquet of spring flowers. It almost has a pollen quality to it. 😍 Also it has that dewy flowers smell that I really enjoy here. Aquatic note gives a little bit of freshness to the heady sweet flowers and it's beautifully blended together. IMO this is the perfect floral perfume. I read some old interview with the perfumer and he said that this is the most beautiful scent he ever created. It's sad that this perfume is discounted but I find it on ebay for a really good price so I'm really happy about it.

Lily, wild and slightly formidable with a vein of poison oleander. Green, proud and seared with the aloofness of sizzling grapefruit. Peacock Lily is quite an uplifting fragrance despite the illustrious nature of the peacock, glistening with water droplets and strutting on plush moss underfoot. More than a hint of green indole is detected here too, a little like menthol... medicinal, bitter. Salty, maybe some ambergris from the ocean and a misting of musky ambrette. I like this a lot. Complex and fluorescent, if not slightly disturbing. A ghostly siren haunting the coast.

@BeguilingBeauty all parts of the oleander plant are poisonous because they contain cardiac glycosides, which are separate from the aroma chemicals used to produce the oleander smell. Even if the perfume did contain the toxins, the worst poisoning comes from ingestion, ie if you drank a large quantity of a perfume containing the cardiac glycosides. Also, there have been zero deaths reported from topical application of oleander products, as the skin absorbs compounds differently than the gi tract, or not at all. A bit on you skin should be safe.

So wonderful, framed by supportive notes till perfection, especially oleander is present and enjoyable. I can not say I am a huge fan of lilies, yet this certain fragrance is insanely beautiful, like something exciting and ghostly, hanged between the sky and earth, - I do appreciate the image of the "fog accord", that luckyscents included in description on their site. Feels so well blended, and esoteric at some point. Hypnotic and self-absorbing fragrance, better not be missed by lily-amateurs!

I agree that this peacock is very seductive. Wearing this I feel as if I'm at the mountains, thanks to the fog note, and it is calming, the way the breeze wiping my face. The lily is prominent from the start to the end, which is about 10 hours. Yes, this kind of perfume might make us think that the longevity will be lacking. That's not the case however, the silage is moderate, but it surrounds me for so long. I think the word that best describes this perfume is peaceful.

I blind bought this on a discount, and I am glad I did. I am male and a fan of white florals. Yes, this fragrance at first gives a huge blast of lily and indolic jasmine, as expected from the name -- almost too much. But after sitting with it for a while, the flower bomb tones down a bit on my skin and dries down to this beautiful freshly laden hardwood floor mixed in with butter. I think this is the part that makes the fragrance unisex.

I absolutely love this fragrance, but since i have only recently taken a special interest in perfumes, and my ability to suss out the different notes is amateur at best, so i cannot tell you if i detect the notes im supposed to detect, and my ability to describe it is over-shadowed by my penchant for run-on sentences, im simply going to say that i like this scent very, very much. It is one of my go-to fragrances.

Words that come to mind when I smell this: gorgeous, romantic, dreamy, classy, sexy, polished, and refined. The lily really shines and the grapefruit, oleander, violet, and whipped cream elevate it out of that "funeral flower" association. It's so, so pretty. My new signature scent.

A beautiful lily fragrance, but soft, not overpowering, fresh rather than cloying. Got me through a long, tiring day as I kept catching little bursts of it. Will go back for more.

Strong white floral that remains soft while still being quite substantial performance-wise. Grey and mysterious, a good witchy smell.

I received a sample of this fragrance with my recent blind-buy of their brand new Amber Teutonic. I like it very much. It's that white flowers, musky, clean and bright type of fragrance that I enjoy. Sort of like a great soap, but somehow better--richer, more perfumey somehow. White Peacock Lily reminds me of [the probably long forgotten by everyone but me] Blanc de Paris by Scent on Canvas. I loved that house and think they were so incredibly underrated. Anyway, lily is certainly a prominent note, and the fragrance opens with a big burst of lily and sweet citrus, bright and happy. A tad sharp in the way that I actually like with floral perfumes. One thing I'm finding with this house is that the notes that first slap you in the face like a glove full of bricks typically turn into something far more subdued in a matter of minutes. I get lily in the first few minutes, so intensely that I imagined it would never fade, but lily is quickly overtaken by a lovely jasmine. I detect all of the notes listed, but jasmine jumps out the most. And this is where it stays. The feel of the fragrance fluctuates for me. Sometimes it feels moody and somber; other times it seems like a nice fragrance for a bride. It feels like the mist hovering over a lake. White Peacock Lily and Swan Princess could be in the same collection just because they are both soft, white and cool or wintry. While florals are not something I wear these days, but if I did wear a floral, I would probably want this one. I like the aquatic and musky freshness of this one. A touch of creaminess in the drydown is very subdued but also complimentary to the florals. I found sillage to be low-to-moderate and longevity to be several hours with just one spray to each wrist. A very pleasant fragrance, IMHO, and feels somewhat classic and far less "weird" than their other stuff, like a more artistic version of Baiser Vole. I really, really love this house. This reminds me of a song by the musician Jenny Hval: "The Dead Dead Water Lily Thing" White Peacock is pungent and redolent almost to the point of decay. It's the only lily-forward scent I own, and I shouldn't have been surprised that the note has a funeral aspect to it. It's heavily indolic at first, and then calms to something more somber than macabre, livening somewhat with water and green. The development is as though a dying lily were revived - almost, but not quite. It retains a living-dead quality through its development. It's oddly compelling and almost pretty, but not quite. I like it almost in spite of myself.

it reminds me of the luminous skin between parted hairs of a bowed head: glowing wanly, at once clammy and familiar. a buttery, waxenly white lily. wears its indoles like a skirt trailing against the ground, hemmed with an earthiness reminiscent of boiled mung beans, or the lingering wetness that bleeds through soil after the rain. Like a rare flower that has bloomed in the shade; a candle that will never be lit.

I need to wear this more often. Starts off with a damp floral musk which can be quite off putting, but I love the vanilla dry down which lasts for hours. I'd like to imagine this is what a bee would smell in a flowery swamp.

White Peacock Lily adds to my lifelong struggle with unisex fragrances. This is one I enjoy from far away, but can’t stand up close. I can wear it on my body, like under a shirt. If I put it directly to my nose, or wear it somewhere closer like my neck or my shoulders, something in it gives me hints of dried sweat or even urine. I know people will say it’s the lily note, but I grow lilies and am very used to them. I’m only vaguely familiar with musk mallow and have no experience with nerium oleander or cabreuva, so I’m assuming it’s one of those three that’s turning me off. I wear the other notes in this all the time, which is why it’s not a terrible fragrance to me. It’s just super unique in a way that may be beyond my comfort zone. I’m glad I was able to purchase only a decant of this because I doubt I’ll ever want a full bottle. The small amount I have right now is just enough to experiment with a few more wears to see if it possibly grows on me. I might play with it some more next Summer, maybe even experiment with layering it. One day, I’ll admit to myself that I genuine only like women’s fragrances, but this was worth the try.

DEATH BLOOMS! Where did it all go so wrong? Now I love a lily scent, and I am dangerously close to a D S & Durga groupie, so assumed this was a sealed deal. How very very lucky, then, that I held off to test-drive a sample of this before playing the silly goat and blind buying a large full bottle at discount. Because - and trust me, I find this distressing and bewildering, it's NOT the result I wanted at all - this one's a straight disaster on me. No lily, no joy, no spice, no earthiness. Not even 'nice, but too-flowery, too-femme, too-fun' for me either. Instead, on my smell buds this just lands as some sort of dirty tuberose with an aggressively gasoline-y synthetic edge on it. Somehow bitter and dark too - which CAN be qualities I love, but don't in this. And even worse - "I hate it and there's not enough of it and it doesn't last either!" - it also dies a rapid but unlovely death on my skin only 2-3 hours in. No idea how this misfired so badly, but perhaps I was expecting something it was never designed to be. It might be the cabreuva or ambrette - awkward materials to my nose - but this was surprisingly hostile, scratchy and far more savoury in feel than I was prepared for. I have tested my mettle with many a DS&D product full of much weirder, more challenging things (khella flower? creosote bush? cool mountain streams? leather so raw it still reeks of bucking bronco? Bring 'em on, bring 'em all on....) and I still loved THEM ... so to have my will broken by this one is truly a bit of a shocker. Test first. It might be just individual enough to work absolutely perfectly for you. But this Peacock definitely has a sting in the tail. Don't expect 'standard issue' lily loveliness, by any means. It left me disconcerted - rattled, even!

Woody, aquatic white floral (mostly jasmine, a bit of lily) with an undertone of patchouli. (I know it's not in the notes list but that's what I get). The sweet whipped cream note is noticeable but small and not overwhelming. Interesting and different.

Made me nauseous! I gave it an hour on my skin, then scrubbed it off! Too intense! Starts off like a strong acidic neroli note (it's not mentioned but it's what my nose gets) enhanced with white florals on steroids. Expected so much more!

I don't like this, but then again I don't like lilies.

You need to like wet, humid, deathly sweet, mildew-tinged white florals. In all fairness, I struggle with white florals and rabidly dislike lily (since "lily" is literally in the title, that's on me). I try to be open and was hoping for more violet and wood notes as listed above, but I'm not getting a lot of other notes. This is stomach churning, so I'll keep it snappy so I can go scrub my arm. I will say that DS & Durga at least has a perspective, and I'm not "meh" about any of their iterations, which speaks to the glorious creative direction of this house. See the review below by wondervalley***--it's accurate. If you're like me and prefer Debaser, Black Magenta and Radio Bombay, for the love of all that's holy, don't blind buy this one.

A limited range of D.S. & Durga fragrances has recently touched down on Australian shores. First on my list of fragrances to try from this house was the eagerly anticipated, heady white floral, simply named Durga. Turns out that Durga was so popular that they ran out of stock almost immediately. I was bitterly disappointed, (especially since I had travelled a fair way to find a store that stocks D.S. & Durga in the first place), so I reached for a tester of White Peacock Lily to brighten my mood by testing another white floral from this house. White Peacock Lily is a stunning dew-kissed lily and jasmine scent. I feel like I'm one with nature when wearing this fragrance. I had a bit of a giggle when reading the official scent description from the D.S. & Durga's website, "A lone peacock floats over cream lilies, oleander, and a sea of alabaster violet. Orchestral pads of harps and horns drone. Pale blue fog hangs in the far woodlands." To add to the imagery, the perfumer has listed a note of 'fog' as one of the base notes. Not sure what fog smells like, but I'll roll with it. White Peacock Lily is a Spring and Summer scent, no question about it. It's very fresh and watery on my skin, with a sparkling grapefruit accord dancing delicately on top of the refreshing jasmine and lily bouquet. It would make a stunning bridal scent, especially if planning an outdoor wedding in a picturesque garden. As a matter of fact, I am considering this scent for my own wedding day. The drydown maintains much of its freshness, however, there are some added notes of dry vanilla, cabreuva wood and ambrette seed. White Peacock Lily has excellent longevity on my skin and moderate projection. Now that D.S. & Durga is becoming a more accessible niche brand, I urge more perfume lovers to try all that they have to offer. They don't come cheap, unfortunately, but their fragrances are of a very high standard.

I know I shouldnt be writing reviews as soon as I've laid hands on the bottle (my kindly postman has just gifted me lots of presents!) Divin Enfant is sitting on my skin nicely and warming up on one arm and this on the other. The issue here is that all I feel is disappointment! This smells medicinal on me, I'm not getting any beautiful lily, which is what I was dying for, just odd aquatic notes, hints of powder and very little else with an overlay of medicinal scent. On top of this, it's hardly strong, it's about 20 degrees here (not bad for England) and things usually bloom quite well but I'm really just not getting anything from this, certainly nothing I'd feel classy or ethereal with. Good job I didn't pay £200 for it, one of my less fabulous blind buys. Perhaps I'll update this in colder weather... Update: I'm waiting for proper autumn and winter but I've found with this cooler spell that I finally am starting to get it. It's like a cold foggy day by the water watching the swans with grey skies, it's like the beauty of a ballet dancer, ethereal, graceful and slightly sad. I'm using it sparingly to help myself diet, as I'd love to be that thin and graceful standing by the water someday. Some things inspire comfort or a brisk confidence when you need it most, others just inspire you to want to be better, sometimes I love these aspirational ones most of all.

I wonder if this reminds anyone else of Zaitsev's Maroussia? White Peackock Lily is far more natural but there's something about the jasmine and also something I experience as similar to civet r a cat-pee-like note. With White Peacock Lily it's more like boxhedge - that scent you get from wild flowers and leaves if you're right in the midst of them, whereas with Maroussia it's more a synthetic old-fashiond civet. Maybe it's the ambrette. Anyway,others are obviously experiencing this as a feminine floral, but I find it very unusual, I mean I'm not sure I experience it as a perfume so much as a strange holograph of slightly scratchy notes hovering above my skin rather than melting into it. It does smell white - white, animalic and horticultural, and it reminds me a little of Luten's Bas de Soie in the metallic musk used maybe? Looking at notes though WPL has noting much in common with the Lutens or Maroussia. It doesn't quite work for me, I find it scratchy, not creamy, it also makes my eyes water so it's maybe just some note that doesn't quite work for me. I don't dislike it, but I wouldn't wear it.

No scent captures the essence of Florida so perfectly. This is a dank, heady floral, and as the reviewer below me put it, you can feel humidity radiating throughout. It feels like carrying a bouquet of lilies through a swamp and I mean that in the best way. I also don’t mind the funeral flower comparisons because I think it adds to its southern gothic appeal. This is blended beautifully, which is typical of DS&Durga fragrances; the sweetness from the whipped cream and vanilla and powdery notes from the violet add lovely dimension to the swamp lily top notes. I think you have to like indolic flowers to really vibe with this, but thankfully I do. It is unique and inspired and I wish it had not been discontinued. UPDATE: I love this but have so many white floral fragrances that I think this would be better off with someone who really loves the southern gothic appeal to it. Message me if you want to buy, it’s 90% full

While I enjoy this for the heady lily scent (I don't love it), I am bothered by the inclusion of oleander nerium. Unless I have it confused/wrong somehow, all parts of the oleander are poisonous. I only tried the sample I got twice, but now I'm thinking of throwing it out. I was reading about how dangerous oleander is in an article about Nerium moisturizer by an OB/GYN named Jen Gunter. I think people should be leery. Do whatever you want but in case you didn't know oleander nerium was in this perfume, like me, now you do. I'm not taking a chance with my heart in case there is some sort of cumulative toxicity after repeated wearing, but thankfully nothing bad has happened from trying my sample twice. Kind of makes me annoyed that I didn't read the full ingredient list carefully. I honestly have no clue is there is a safety risk in adding oleander to perfume but I'm erring on the side of caution.

This starts off like Clean’s Blossom on me. The lily is strong right from the beginning, modified by the pollen-y oleander/hawthorn-like note and jasmine. I’m reminded of Jennifer Anniston (Lolavie) as well. Wafts are more gentle, almost flat (possibly what others have described as heady/humid), but if you smell directly it is sharp and indolic, very pungent. It smells natural and realistic so I can see how it would invoke strong feelings and memories for people. I don’t care for the first half of this scent’s life, though that’s a reflection of my preference not of its quality. I tend to prefer a more delicate or sheer lily. The grapefruit would help but I don’t detect any. Gradually the watery vanilla and musk notes develop and the lily recedes partially and I prefer this final stage. Worth a sample for lily lovers and lovers of pollen/realistic florals.

Water lilies on rose waters in a clean greenhouse. White lilies, fresh mineral aquatic note, slight jasmines for the animalic factor, and musk mallow (DOSES to present the styrax), grapefruits for the sours, violets for the lavender color that supports the white sheer that is covering the greehouse, and there is an unknown element to my nose! something pink, it's quite weird, it could be a pink ink, i know it's weird but it never disappears. As it goes calm, the blend goes quite floral sharp as i begin to smell earthy violets, and more interesting roots, not the humid fertile, but something quite clean! healthy, and very nursery. This is quite floral, very floral greeny, and quite natural. i believe it remains close to skin as it's delicate and quite white.

I would have sworn there was neroli in this - I guess what is here is combining to create an accord that's very similar to neroli. I'm getting mostly that accord plus something creamy and a bit green in the background behind it. Projection on initial application is above average for a DS & Durga scent. The sweetness seems to be coming out more as it dries - I'm getting more of that vanilla and whipped cream accord, still alongside that green plantiness. It goes on dead on unisex and becomes more and more femme-leaning as it dries, imo, but still unisex overall if you like white florals and sweet scents.

Blind buy. (Don't do that with this scent.) Judging by the description, this should have been my scent—I adore the scent of white lily. Unfortunately, on my skin, it completely failed to live up to expectations. There's an unpleasant, swampy undertone that ruins everything, as if the perfume is trying to mask something unclean. The lily itself is completely absent from my nose. I tried it at different times of the year, hoping it would improve, but it didn't. In the summer, it becomes even harsher and suffocatingly harsh. This is definitely not for me, and I will be passing it on.

This is not at all what I expected. The opening smells alot like Mayday tree or red clover flowers with a vegetal muskiness in the background. That clover, pollen-heavy smell never goes away and overpowers the other notes until long into the drydown. I really enjoy the creamy lily smell that emerges in the heart, but it's not prominent unfortunately. After a few hours, White Peacock Lily is a skin scent smelling of faint vanillic lilies and sexy clay soap. Based on other people's reviews, I think I need to let my bottle sit for a while.

What the fab! When I first smell it remind me some flower in my memory, orange bloosom? almost yes but, when I smell it again and again I telling to myself “Oh my god!!!! It was a Parijat Flower!” Super duper realistic the night-flowering jasmine! I do love this so much! it bring me a lot of my childhood again, when I going outside of Bangkok. The large Parijat tree were full of blossom and it falling down on the ground with the most beautiful orange stem of the flower. I really really love this scent so so sooooo much!!!!

This is mostly peppery lilies and vanilla on me and I love it! It's almost too intense in the beginning; the lilies are so strong, but after an hour it's really calmed down and it's the most beautiful, smooth, creamy lily and vanilla. I get why this would be too much for some, and totally understand the funereal flower, pond water or vase of old lily water comments, but that part doesn't last long on me. I love that it is such a realistic lily smell, like the lilies I just had on my table recently.

Dreamy lily coupled with a very pungent, indolic jasmine. The underlying aquatic note has a violet tint. The jasmine note is of the natural world, and I would say, even hyper-realistic. Longevity is above average. I'm glad I got a sample of White Peacock Lily and I'm seriously contemplating purchasing a big bottle of this to add to my small collection of white florals which presently consists of Fracas (tuberose) by Robert Piguet and Orange Blossom (neroli) by Penhaligon's (B. Duchaufour). .

Discovered it by chance I found it incredibly good on my skin. On the mouillette it's not fantastic but on my skin .... wow! This white peacock dancing on a creamy lake of lilies is not sweet but has a sweet note. What strikes me most is its acid note and the idea of white lilies, my favorite flowers.

-Said to be a realistic lily-jasmine...but somehow translates as indolic tuberose & musty pond water to my nose. -Imagine putting your nose in a bouquet of white flowers, while sitting by a stagnant pond. -Has somewhat of a bite to it; could it be the ambrette and Cabreuva?. (-)

Somehow ends up smelling like honeyed wet wool on me, with the wool being still on the sheep. Not unpleasant (I grew up in a rural area), but surprising. Not as strong as I expected it to be

I’m digging this so I guess that makes me a swamp creature! Very uniquely crafted. Thank you Anamandy! This is not Terracotta which I gave away years ago.

@Ape Wilson, Thank you for the reply. I guess I will reconsider wearing it. I just have dogs and a baby and I didn't want to pose a risk to them.

I'll skip the long review and just say this smells like a creamy glade air freshener that I don't want to smell like at all.

This is so realistic! This lasts days on my clothes and still smells strong of real flowers stems and all it’s so beautiful!
