Tesoro Summer/Coast/Stone by the sea. Sunset in the shade. The freshness of summer shade in bubbles of warm and fresh notes. Playfully citrusy, dynamic and very fun to follow. I see this as my personal favorite. Unique, simple, but again different from anything citrusy I've tried. Very very slightly soapy citrus, daytime or evening, spring or summer, sunny or windy. An orange explosion! Most vibrant, fresh, multi-dimensional oranges you can imagine in a perfume! Leather adds an interesting twist with the bitterness that contrasts the sweet fruity flesh and green leaves of the orange! Unisex, very powerful with great silage and longevity!

This is the scent of calmness. Completely in the mood of natural landscapes. Something gives an incredibly attractive note of the purest fresh air of the ideal temperature. I can't imagine a more airy leather scent) A mixture of pure musk, citrus leaf and pink pepper - maybe this? I'm not such an expert in notes. Musk balances on the edge of soapy cleanness, but does not cross it. Dry herbs, dry citrus peels. Maybe somewhere there is a sea, not the Mediterranean, but the Baltic. Or it's just not a summer sea.

I received this as part of my Hooh Haa drop and it's really grown on me. I fo get the orange and a creamy leather. I found it good in warmer weather but now it's dark and rainy in the UK and I'm wearing it to bed. It has a sort of orange icecream note to me which is really comforting on a grey day!

Person below me said it has an orange ice cream vibe and it's a very good description. Initial citrus juicy zing quickly fades off and the scent becomes vetivery green, creamy and easy going. Sillage and longevity are in the medium range. Solid unisex fragrance overall.

Tesoro, which translates to 'treasure' from Spanish, is not exactly the treasure I was hoping to find when beginning to test D:SOL MMXVI's catalogue. Something is missing here, something... that would make it truly valuable. Not all the notes of Tesoro are listed here. The notes pyramid is lacking sweet orange at the top notes, cedarwood at the heart notes, and incense at the base. However, these three notes are shown on the card presenting each of the fragrances that you get in their collection sample set. On each of the fragrance's respective web pages, you get the same notes as on here. Not that it's a big deal, since neither of these three play such a front-end role in the composition, apart from the sweet orange which plays its hand beautifully along the other citrus notes, making for a refreshing but not overly sharp squeeze of citric brightness. The orange is clearly leading here, with a nice balance of tangy sweetness and bitter accent, while the grapefruit offers support more so with the latter. Given that the top notes, especially citric ones, usually fade away quite quickly, the petitgrain at the heart extends the citric accord with a continued bitter orange aroma, only it also appends a sparkling, herbaceous quality, as well as a very faint woody aspect, more so carried by the cedarwood, anyways. The pink pepper works underneath by bringing some bright, berry-like spice, while the jasmine oozes its clean, white floral richness without ever turning intoxicating or heady. Just simple, pleasant stuff. The base is where I don't feel like this is a treasure worth digging for. A very soft trace of citric incense appears paired with a rather generous dosage of clean, airy white musk. The vetiver doesn't really manage to stand out with any of its numerous facets, at best a grassy accent in the back, while the leather is more muted than I expected and I'd like. It just adds a little warmth associated with leather, but also a grounding effect if faint, while the white musk completely covers it. A bit of a meh ending. Quality and blending are not the issue, in my opinion, just that the scent profile is nothing out of the ordinary. Performance proved to be in the realm of my expectations, maybe a little better. I got about 7 hours of longevity on my skin, while as for projection it was soft to moderate, not invading anyone's nostrils from afar, but still leaving a noticeable trail even 2 hours into the wear. No trouble on the versatility side of things, this being perfectly usable for any occasion, especially during those sunny, active summer days. Maybe a little bit boring for more distinct situations, but it will still do the job. My only issue with Tesoro is an issue that most others will probably not have with it. It's a pleasant scent, hard to hate, and for those looking just for that, it's great juice. But those that wish for some more... "fireworks" so to say, for a more unusual freshie, Tesoro is unlikely to satisfy that criteria. For the €160/75ml price, it's not terrible value for those who would truly value a scent profile like this. But as stated, for someone like me who is looking for more distinct compositions, it will be a tough sell. "Orange Gold"? Maybe silver or bronze. I agree with Cherry Darling that the one note you don't get from this is orange. I don't get the leather either. The top notes are fresh, citrus and herbal. The dry down is still relatively herbal but I'm struggling to put a name to the specific herb. It's slightly aniseedy. i also get a touch of amber. I sprayed this on 7 hours ago and can still smell it quite distinctly but very close to my skin. Some of the new niche houses seem to prize the strange over the beautiful. You can find some very odd combinations of notes jostling against each other. For all that this is produced by a new, small house, the perfumer seems to me to have created a coherent perfume. It's very contemporary in its impact but I wouldn't be surprised to find out the perfumer had been classically trained. Edit: Here’s an interesting thing: I’ve just tried Tesoro again because it’s HooHaa’s Buckle Up choice for July. This time I tried it on my skin rather than on a testing strip and I got a very clear orange note. I’ve just used the same bottle to spray a testing strip because I wanted to compare it with another perfume and the orange is not there! So could it be that it needs the warmth or the chemistry of skin to bring it out?

Tesoro is the fragrant wind through orange trees, the sandy dunes of a desert and the leathery caravans riding through an exotic landscape. Tesoro reminds us of a time when oranges were traded like gemstones; created by Marie Le Febvre, the center of the creation is definitely the precious citrus with its sparkling flesh and bitter green leaves, that combined with a lush and rough leather note gives this freshie an amazing depth. This has excellent longevity and from the fresh burst it slowly transforms into a citrus-infused musky leather blend which is just exquisite. Tesoro reminds me of eternal sunshine; when I spray this I imagine the sun shining with its full power; the breeze in my face and the warmth present throughout. I think this fragrance perfectly combines a fresh coldness with an underlying warmth, and this duality makes this a fantastic experience.

Quite herbal in the green petigrain sense. Zesty, but not pronounced orange to me. More grapefruity, grassy, herby. But not in a heavy way more just green and grainy. Like it.
