Nitro Gold

This one opens up with a vibrant burst of fruits right off the top. You get apple, grapefruit, and pineapple immediately, backed by a nice kick of red and black pepper that gives it some energy and sparkle. It’s fresh, slightly spicy, and attention-grabbing without being harsh. As it settles, the fragrance shifts into a more interesting mid with salty aquatic nuances mixed with soft woods and musk. That salty freshness gives it a unique twist and keeps it from feeling overly sweet, adding a clean, almost breezy character. In the base, it smooths out nicely with toffee, sandalwood, and vanilla. The sweetness is there, but it’s more controlled and less bubblegummy than a lot of fragrances in this style. It comes across creamy, slightly warm, and well-balanced rather than loud or synthetic. I’ve seen a lot of comparisons to the Born in Roma line, and while there may be a little inspiration there, this really feels like its own thing. It doesn’t come off as a direct clone of anything in my collection, which makes it stand out more. Performance is solid. I get about 2 hours of decent projection, with overall longevity sitting around 7 hours on my skin. Overall, this is a really enjoyable, easy-to-wear scent with a fresh, slightly sweet, and modern profile. Definitely one that’s grown on me.

Inspired by Valentino Born in Roma Intense with supposedly a sprinkling of Creed Millésime Impérial. Very juicy pineapple and a sweet apple or pear Invictus kind of open with light citrus along with what feels like Nitro Red dna lurking in the background amping up the sugar a bit initially. It then transitions to some salty oceanic notes with woody and cognac booziness which dials back the sweetness, but the base gets sweet again, and musky, with warm amber over creamy sandalwood. It's really hard to not enjoy this, but it is definitely at the border of how much sweetness I can take. The salty oceanic cuts through just enough to keep it from being cloying in the warm desert air, a test I put it to spending a bit of time outdoors in 110F+ dry conditions. What I think would be really powerful is layering with another aquatic like Light Blue or Acqua Di Gio does solve that dilemma to elevate further and cut through the sweetness, which is what I'm going to do on my next go around with Nitro Gold. Otherwise, it's understandable to see why it is selling so well.

This one has me all over the place. I love it, it’s ok. Over hyped, hype was justified. I can’t figure out why that is. Is it bad? No. Is it worth your money, yea. It doesn’t smell cheap or terrible. Definitely designer grade. I think the issue I have is the notes and what I’m smelling aren’t adding up. So I referred to videos and everyone in every video I’ve watched reports smelling something different (over 20 different videos) I’ve never seen so much disparity in a fragrance before. Pineapple, apple and watermelon all smell very different. To me, it’s watermelon for sure. But in a fruit punch way. Almost acidic. Which I think is throwing me off. And the evolution of this fragrance is the watermelon just gets less dense, more airy and brighter as time goes on. No woods, vanilla or toffee. Just salted acidic fruit punch style watermelon and a hint of vetiver. It’s nice, just not what I thought. To my nose, this and Armaf Milestone are quite similar

I wrote a review on this 10 days ago. I’m checking the progress overtime. The notes are cleaning up. The fruits are less acidic than before. It actually smells fruity fresh not fruit punch ,syrupy, acidic and dense. It still needs another week or so to sit. All in all. I’ve had this for about 3 weeks now. I’m beginning to feel less like I wasted my money. Still smells similar to armar milestone IMO, however, its starting to distance itself, The mixture of fruits still smell like watermelon mostly with a touch of apple. I can now smell the cedar slightly and I smell the vetiver as i did before. Toffee is there but barely. And underneath all of that I’m getting a little vanilla. If this stayed the way it is.. I wouldn’t be mad.

If you’re expecting BIR intense, you’ll be disappointed. If you’re expecting BIR EDT, you’ll be satisfied. Just smelling the cap you’ll immediately have a hard time discerning it from the original BIR EDT. I put them side by side & that goes into the opening, which is pretty close but has a fruitier twist. As it drys down, it changes a little bit. It follows the typically fabric softener vibe in these newer fragrances, particularly in other nitros like the elixir but yet still smells close to the BIR dry down which may be a tinge greener. It’s certainly a twist but I’d say 85-90% close.

Im convinced some of these negative reviews are paid for, which is exactly why I stay cautious with this site. That aside, this is easily Dumont’s best signature scent right now—and without question the most complex. It starts off taking you in one direction, then unexpectedly flips into a burst of freshness that really pops off the skin and clothes. The juice is that good. It’s versatile enough for any cool, breezy night across all seasons—spring, summer, fall, even winter. I’d just be a little selective on those peak summer scorchers. Don’t let these bot reviews throw you off

Another beautiful Dumont banger. Doesn’t get more versatile than this. Dress this up or down any time of the year. Solid performance, not loud. Mellow fruits up front (not a typical freshie) the oceanic wood notes come through nicely, ending with that dessert like musk. Beautiful.

This ain’t reinventing the wheel—but it doesn’t need to. It’s mass appealing, versatile, and smells way more expensive than it is. Perfect grab when you don’t wanna think too hard but still wanna smell 🔥. Dates, casual nights, office-safe flex, year-round easy reach

Oh my gosh! This is the best Nitro out of the line. I have Valentino BIR EDT and this is about 90% similar. This fragrance will shine in the warmer weather but you could wear it year around. It’s 100% blind buy safe.

Just got my Bottle yesterday. It smells good reminds me of a Valentino Born in Roma and a blue fragrance combination. Leans masculine just a bit but women could pull it off too.

Smells like a top tier designer perfume. Great projection& Last forever! Real Talk! Put this in a designer bottle and you will pay $200 bucks for it All day everyday!

Firsts complimented fragrance since starting my collection

Nitro Gold opens with a nice fresh zingy fruit bowl it's primarily pineapple and a citrus mix the apple is really hard to get off the rip but it appears a bit more later on. The fresh spicy aspects really don't come through heavily they're just kinda there around the edges it just helps keep it a little more bright but it still doesn't allow the grapefruit to come through. Some people might say they get watermelon like Nitro Red but I would say it is fairly distinctly citrus. As the mid notes come in the woods and salt/marine change the fruit profile to include the apple a little bit more distinctly but still generally a fruit bowl and it fights really hard not to be bubblegum but it is edging it for sure. Cognac is a bit of a stretch the salted marine accord creates a booziness together with the fruit it's really hard to connect the dots there. The mid is really an airy fresh salty/marine citrus with a little bit of a woody, green, fresh spiciness. Fairly brisk really it feels surprisingly light until the woods begin to break through. The woods kinda just sucks all the sweetness out of the citrus and the fragrance loses a bit of the airiness and becomes a lot denser but it likes to bounce back and forth between that airy and dense woody freshness a bit. Surprisingly this all happens within the first hour or two of spraying. The development and depth are really something with this fragrance. The dry down starts with the freshness kinda transforming to a salty fresh musk instead of a distinct woodiness. The vanilla and toffee are sorta there but its also like they come in unsweetened so the this greenness kinda hangs out for a bit. The saltiness relents a bit which also kinda lets the green go and then it kinda hits a modern woody amber musky with just the most subtle bit of green and salt. Extreme amount of depth here somehow you're hitting 4+ pretty distinct points within the development of this fragrance. The performance is a little overstated to me you will smell like something for a long time but the development doesn't last like an amazingly long time you have a couple of hours to work with if that's what you like. Not like that really detracts from the sillage and duration but what exactly are you buying the scent for I guess kinda matters in that regard. Not to knock the dry down too much it's pretty nice but it also isn't standout. Really just the epitome of an unsafe blind buy. I usually don't believe in needing specific times or temperature to pull something off but I really don't think this is appropriate for winter. Personally don't believe this specific marine saltiness will really be what someone would want to smell during the winter. Price is also not super great right now compared to other Nitro's but the quality here is fairly decent so maybe it is worth costing more within the line.

Am I the only one that find this similar to 9 pm Night Out? Maybe the fruity part plus the cognac? Anyways, smell good. Not mind blowing but it does the job.

I really don’t get the hype of this. Starts off smelling like sweet slightly salty watermelon then dries down into this weird green grassy sweet salty scent. I absolutely love nitro elixir, but this is terrible. 3/10. Edit: 1 week later and it definitely smells a lot better. That weird dry down grassy salty note has nearly disappeared and now smells pretty nice. 7/10 now. Hopefully in a few more weeks will get even better.

The opening comes off a bit synthetic. Performance: it fades into a skin scent within 2 hours. What’s left is a soft amber sweetness that lacks depth and presence. It never develops or projects enough to feel impactful. It tries to lean luxurious, but the execution feels flat and short-lived. An underwhelming frag for what it aims to be.

Influencers market it as a BIR dupe but is not... sorry. Not bad, but its not what I expected with all the hype

Dumont is the MOST unreliable fragrance house to date. They have resorted to promoting fragrances for months that they have no plans on actually selling to the public. For that alone I’d rather choose ANY other fragrance house to do business with. A fragrance house that actually releases their products instead of promoting fragrances that you can’t even buy for months on end smh. It’s really sad. I have never heard of a fragrance company advertise and promote a cologne 4-5 months ago (literally October/November ‘25), and tell people it’s going on sale Christmas Day, but doesn’t actually release (straight up LIE), and now here in Mid February ‘26 and it’s STILL NOT AVAILABLE! And not just related to Dumont Gold, but Platinum limited edition, nitro green limited edition, and nitro white limited edition. It’s all FAKE and they don’t even have the resources to actually release these like they are promoting and advertising for months 😂😂😂 Dumont has lost all credibility IMO. They should take notes from Rayhaan, Afnan, Rasasi, Khadlaj...basically every other fragrance line that exists. 0/10 just off their horrible business and delusional marketing team.

Here is my honest review for Fragrantica: What's up guys, today I chose to wear the new Nitro Gold, I had a great experience. I also decided to do a small comparison with the other clone of Valentino Uomo Born In Roma Intense I have, Blackjack by Bujairami. The review of Blackjack can be found here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inspired by: Valentino Uomo Born In Roma Intense It reminded me so much of Nitro red as soon as I smelled it, that's the first thing I thought of. But a better version of it. Just like Nitro Red Intensely reminds me of Red but improved, such a great fragrance. Strong pineapple notes mixing with some sour citrus, heavy cognac, woody and amber notes with some sweet vanilla in the background is what I get. The dry down is a lot better then the opening, and of course it opens VERY strong. I dislike that I feel like I have to be careful on the sprays on the beginning or else I'll feel like it's way too cloying for the first hour. From what I noticed this fragrance benefits a lot from some extra sprays. On my first wear it did not feel like it projected for too long. On my second wear, I sprayed more and noticed pretty good projection. Both times I wore the fragrance it did last on my skin the entire day though. Once it becomes a skin scent it stays there. Average projection, and above average longevity. Maybe with maturation things might improve. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Comparing this to Blackjack, it's stronger, denser and sweeter then Blackjack. Blackjack has more concentration on the Vetiver earthy smell. Blackjack also feels more floral and smoother. Nitro gold feels more potent because of the heavier sweetness and woodiness to it. It was a little hard to tell which one projected more. I would say Nitro Gold wins by a little and also in longevity. But they are really close to me honestly. And they have a different smell too, so some might prefer Blackjack since it feels a little cleaner AND smoother. While others might want to smell more dank like Nitro Gold. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rating: Performance: 8.6/10 Scent quality: 8.6/10 Overall rating 10/10 .... jk, obviously a 8.6/10 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Conclusion: Obviously this is a first impression wear since almost nobody has had Nitro Gold long enough for it to be considered "matured". So the real performance and scent quality still remain a mystery, but I have a pretty good idea where it's headed based off these two first wears. I like the fragrance a lot. I just don't think it ranks high high enough for me to want a bottle based on MY personal taste. It's not something I would reach for a lot because of how dense it is, especially on the first sprays. I personally preferred Blackjack a lot more. Nitro gold is no sleeper though and I really would consider trying both before deciding on one bottle over another. You can't go wrong with either. Don't fall for the hype... This is not horrible but mid at best!!! This opens up very similar to Nitro Red but not quite as loud and the saltiness and pineapple do make this different enough if you already own Niteo Red. As it dries down the saltiness and sweetness fades but it does get more clean and less juvenile. Again, the sweetness dies down BUT is still there and for me kind of clashes with the cleannness and just makes it a bit confusing and muddled. If this was just the clean and fresh aspects without the sweetness I think I would really enjoy this. Performance on this like all the Nitros are great ! It's not beast mode like the others but it's still very loud (even with 2-3 sprays) so If this works for your skin chemistry then this is a great bargain. Longevity was 12-16 hours on my skin. Overall rating-6.5 out of 10 ! I really like the pineapple and salty notes but it's just still too sweet for me personally. A decent scent but everytime I wear this I just find myself wishing I would have picked something better.

***Second Take. I like it but honestly in my opinion there really isn’t anything special to it. Great mass appealing fragrance that can work in any occasion. If you like the Valentino BIR DNA at all then this is a solid pick up for you. It brings a twist to a DNA you like, and are familiar with. Soapy, Salty, and Woodsy. Performance is above average, with slightly above average projection. Only potential downside is you could go nose blind to it. Not the best in the Nitro line but definitely not in the bottom half either.

I got my nose on this at a wholesaler in Houston. Honestly nothing special. It definitely doesn’t remind me of Valentino. It’s more on the fresh watery side of things. If it ever comes out I will purchase a bottle and let it sit for a bit so I can do a better in-depth review. Right now this was just a quick first impression, but from what I picked up it leans citrusy, slightly spicy, and aquatic with some woods underneath. We’ll see how it really develops once it officially releases.

Note: People reviewing and judging the performance of middle eastern fragrances without allowing them to mature should be disregarded. Their performance ALWAYS improves over time with the one caveat being that skin chemistry may have an effect on how any given perfume performs. This is a brand new 2026 release. There’s no way any reviewer here has allowed their bottle to mature. My 2 cents based on my ownership of well over 100 mid east frags.

Great fragrance. I really do love that opening it’s fruity, woody & aquatic.. but similar to what someone else said once it dries down it legit smells like 9PM Night out which is so disappointing. The opening legit smells like a hybrid of Valentino BIR EDT & Creed Millesime. I wish that opening would have stayed longer especially during the dry down :(

I dont know who started the trend that this starts out smelling like Millesime' Imperial, but I don't get any of that sour fruitiness that MI has in it. This definitely does smell like the original Valentino Born in Roma tho. Thats all thanks.

Great perfume UNFORTUNATELY on my skin it dries down to Afnan 9pm Night Out!! I already own that one. Such is with collecting fragrances. If anyone owns both, they may agree with me.

If its a twist on creed millesime imperial, like a more fruity or citrusy version that should be amazing. There havent really been any dupes of MI besides the CDN milestone.

Gonna get this one, but I'm looking forward more to the Limited Editions Nitro's they announced last year. The note breakdowns for those look far more interesting.

The performance is laughable, great opening so enjoy that for a short while, Then an hour or two of faint woods, and then total skin scent. Bummer!
