Strategis

This fragrance is somewhat of a memory. My grandfather died about 15 years ago. My dad and his siblings sold the old house, and we took some of my grandad's things that the others did not need. Among these was an odd looking bottle of "Strategis". My grandfather was not a rich man, but he was always looking after himself even when he was old. 15 and more years ago Lithuania was a poor country, well at least poorer than it is now, and it was quite popular among elderly to use the brands they were familiar with. Dzintars, if to translate it means "Amber" (Latvian language). We kept the bottle in the bathroom, and every now and then me or my dad used it as an aftershave. I cannot say it was unpleasant, quite the contrary - it is a rather odd fragrance that smells of 80s, late 80s in my opinion. Most of the notes are not listed here, but it is EDC strength citrusy musky floral fougere in my opinion. It has a few green notes also. I should have kept the bottle for a sake of memories. I might buy it for a sake of Nostalgia if I see it. It is not expensive smelling, the longevity and potency is not great, but it is quite wearable. As and Edc it's surprisingly ok.

Harsh opening. But as it settles it becomes something pretty subtle, floral. I even see some ressemblences with R de Revillon, which I adore. I get it a long ago as a gift. Didn't like it from the start, but rediscover it again. This is eau de cologne, longevity and sillage are like most of colognes.
