Kickstarter campaign frag. Believable rendition of moon dust. Similarities to Michael Storer's Monk and LDDM by Tauer with that dry, mortar, dirt note -- like old plaster and books. Also has a vanilla type note. Odd but pleasant and wearable. Long-lasting and linear.

It’s not as sharp as actual spent gunpowder, it lacks that sulphur bite. It’s more the idea of it sweetly metallic and the smell of a smokeless fire.

Upon initial smelling, this just smells like a hospital to me. Like a sterile hospital. Clean hospital instruments. The first thing that came to my mind was “antiseptic”. It gave me that same feeling as if you were to open a bottle of rubbing alcohol. After whiffing a few times, I started to smell a sweet smell with a hint of asphalt (I guess it could also be interpreted as gunpowder). I wouldn’t personally wear this, but it doesn’t really smell bad. I am very confused by the videos of people gagging while smelling this. Just smells very sterile and clean with a hint of sweet asphalt. I am also not picking up on any burnt meat smells that others are smelling. Update after doing a wear test on skin: so on the skin it does smell slightly different than what I describe above. Still has that sterile smell but I’m also picking up on a sort of sweet potato smell. I’m also smelling a sort of plastic smell almost like a pool float that has been sitting in the sun. This really doesn’t smell bad, like I said I wouldn’t wear this but it’s not bad!

Opens up a very dark soily plastic, in which case it’s a smooth but punching gunpowder, but an unspent gunpowder rather than used as @ArtemisCrimson suggests. Then, you can make out a basic, neutral, dry wood burning fire accord. Now that it’s already been mentioned, you could also connotate this with a burning plastic, but me personally, it’s a bit less acrid than that (I’ve smelled literal burning plastic before—please don’t do this). Over in the drydown, the fire accord tames down a bit, but the profile as a whole also becomes much more intimate. Should I smell like a walking smelting plastic? Probably not. But I probably will anyways because I can. I might keep a small decant just for the olfactory experience, but not really a FB. If this was purely plastic, it would be a different story, but we’re talking about the smell of the moon here.

Very strange opening, somewhat musky. Dries down and it gets more pleasant. I get a weird sexual vibe emanating from the fragrance. Very strange. The moon sure is a strange place if it smells like this.

Immediately smelled like a barbecue to me. Not like meat, like the coals and hot metal grates of the barbecue before putting the sausages on. Gravely mineral notes hit you first, followed by intense smoke. Fiery, almost spicy, and very strong. Could be cool paired very sparingly with something else maybe? Interested to see how this would work alongside a vanilla fragrance.

if you've ever had morningstar veggie bacon, this literally smells EXACTLY like it, it's so uncanny. there's a strong burning plastic smell; literally like if you heated up a plastic tupperware full of veggie bacon, and the plastic melted and the bacon burned.

Definitely the weirdest and most unique perfume I've smelled. (btw how tf they know how the moon smells)

The slightly less ugly sister of Eau De Space. But it is still a dirty fucking swampy warthog. Like it's ugly sister, Eau De Luna gives a remarkable (for all the wrong reasons) olfactory experience. Don't get me wrong here; I'm glad I own this piece of perfume history, but much like Eau De Space, Eau De Luna is practically unwearable. It is almost like they have isolated the "best" bit from Eau De Space, and then based a whole perfume concept around that. The scent notes in it represent how the dust on Buzz Aldrin's boots apparently smelt, when returning into the space capsule, after doing a tiddly-tap dance on the moon. If that is true, moon dust smells of spent gunpowder, burnt metal, blown out electronics, fire and dust on a warm lightbulb. It is quite grotesque, but nowhere near as bad as it's fucking hideous sister. Like dating a person and having far-fetched fancy ideas about their sibling, before coming to the realisation that both are not desirable at all. If you get past the hour mark with this abomination on your skin, then you're either mentally deranged, or you have anosmia. If the latter is true, why are you spending money on perfume? Daft cunt. 2/10. It's not as terrible as Eau De Space, so it gets an extra point for being a little less grizzly.

I ordered a sample of this on a whim because the name and description sounded intriguing. Never again. I love a smoky fragrance (indigo smoke by Arquiste). I love a gunpowder note (à la Cold Blooded by Curatrix). But this? This gave me a visceral reaction, and not in a good way. I tested it on paper, and what I got was the smell of an old '90s computer overheating—electrical, synthetic, hot plastic, and burnt circuitry. It was genuinely unsettling. I never even put it on skin because I was too afraid to take another sniff, let alone wait for the dry down. I also dont get the BBQ note here. i WISH i could detect a smokey bbq note. I've see people compare this to Inexcusable Evil by Toskovat above. I've never smelled her, but its reputation precedes it. If this is anything close to that style of perfumery, I've learned it's a side of fragrance I want absolutely nothing to do with.

As a sci-fi AND fragrance geek, I fell for the Kickstarter campaign. ( I say "fell" cos it wasn't a great experience - a bit of a shambles but I did get the fragrance in the end ) To be fair, it was pretty much as described: " raspberry, almond, rum, gunpowder, ozone" . Imagine an almond biscuit (cookie) baking on a hot car engine while it's still running and you have it. I think the problem may be that I get travel sick it wasn't a good association ! To make matters worse, it was practically indelible no matter how much I scrubbed ( don't get it on your clothes whatever you do ! ) It's good to keep as a novelty but more a gimmick than a fragrance.

I think this would be a great gift for yourself or for someone who’s a big fan of outer space. It doesn’t feel gimmicky and it genuinely smells lunar. The first thing I get is gunpowder, dust, and smokiness. It’s definitely challenging, but it feels intentional rather than shocking for the sake of it. Compared to Eau de Space, this is much more palatable. I don’t think Eau de Luna smells too bad at all. It’s unusual, but it feels cool and not totally crazy if you’re into niche or experimental scents. If you’re after the full-on nasty niche experience, something like wrapping biscuits and metal tools in a diaper and lighting it on fire, Eau de Space is probably the way to go. But if you want to give yourself or another space fan something that still feels distinctly lunar, cleaner, dusty, smoky, and genuinely neat without tipping into total stinker territory, Eau de Luna makes a lot more sense.

Burned bacon sort of gunpowder meaty smell. Imagine setting fire to a packet of bacon flavoured crisps but burning the bag as well. Synthetic bacon and plastic smell. Not wearable, didn't expect it to be. It's interesting. Theyve changed the bottle again and mine looks very cheap. It leaked in the package so the whole box stank of old meaty fire. It's a talking point! But I don't think I'll ever have a reason to wear it.

Regretfully, this is horrible. Hot dog water, an old iron, and why do I want to smell like this? Grim. 1/10, for novelty alone. Booooh :( great concept though! Does become less gross the longer it’s on your skin but this isn’t pleasant... and isn’t the basic premise of Perfume that it should be at least somewhat appealing?
- em inglês
The burning plastic Tupperware analogy by milklattes below is very accurate. Like there was a hot dog link the the Tupperware but there is a very very slight sweetness to it. Not something you would probably get a compliment on but very unique. Eau de space smells similar but you spilled chlorine on the Tupperware.

I agree that it's reminiscent of vegetarian bacon on initial spray. As it settles it's almost dusty? It's very much putting me in mind if the bleak, nothingness of space. I think this is what eau de space should have been, I just wish the smoke accord wasn't so... Savoury.

If you are a fan of ultra niche frag. you have to get these two as they are cheap, but very unique and quite addictive tbh.

I ordered this via their website but until now they negeri send me the perfume. SCAM.

Honestly, such a great marketing idea.
