Fruto Oscuro

Not for the little tender novice, unless he or she's got guts. This is a complex fragrance that requires time and understanding of the mixture of notes in order to appreciate it. It comes roaring out of the bottle with verve and passion. It's definitely unisex, but a woman like myself who loves men's fragrances won't have a problem with it, but will enjoy wearing it, with jeans and a leather jacket. The notes are complex and multi-faceted. It's a lot like that well-traveled, outspoken friend, who bursts into your door unexpectedly on a windy autumn day, regaling you with tales of where they've been and all the wild things they've done. You light a fire, break out a good red wine, and they settle down in the club chair across from you, and you talk more quietly, but still with intensity, about matters of import, both personal and concerning world affairs. As evening gathers around you and candles are lit, you might reminisce about times gone by, when you were younger and light of heart, and be glad of all of it. This is a fragrance for the experienced, for the person interested in many things, from geopolitics to movies to art to love. This could be a signature scent for a very special lady or gentleman. Some youngsters could wear it. I myself would have worn this in high school with abandon - but then I wore Youth Dew and Cinnabar and Tabu. I'm glad I went to school when I did. Not much fun to be had now for young folks.

I am writing this review today as my sample bottle dwindles, I fear this may be my last spritz. This fragrance opens with the brightest soda pop my brain has ever been invocated to conjure with simply a scent, it's insane how soda poppy this scent is. I want to say tangerine and cherry but honestly, what soda pop smells like an actual fruit? It sparkles, as well, with what must be lychee I'm guessing but again, cannot place. It simply smells like glitter, in the most fun way. As it dries down, it fades into an exact replica of Bottlecaps. You know, the chalky soda flavored candies? Shaped like, you guessed it, bottlecaps. Which flavor does it smell like? Oh🖤🤩 I'm so glad you asked. All of them. Cola. Cherry. Orange. Root beer and grape, as well. I would say cola is the strongest scent of the profile though. Upon further aeration, what looks like approximately twelve minutes of me inhaling the air around my arm as hard as I possibly can, you're left with a mild lemon, apple, and a faint spice. Maybe cardamom. I can't say. I'm terrible with notes, but let me tell you, it's amazing. Every moment of this perfume is a delight. As I desperately hold my wrist to my nose for just a little longer, the scent really does have decent projection but I'm a hound, it takes its time to fade. Which I appreciate. I cannot afford a bottle of this stuff.

This is EVERYTHING. I don't know how else to explain it but this is what a hot lesbian smells like . I normally hate cherry scents because they are so artificial and medicinal, but this is everything I've been looking for. It is lightly warm, lightly spicy, distinctly fruity (heaviest on cherry), and very seductive. reminds me of red velvet curtains and a little black dress at some upscale cocktail bar. this perfume orders a negroni and has sharp red stiletto nails. sooooooo good update after 2 months of wearing this out: I've gotten 3 "you smell so good" comments, it is permanently embedded into one of my jackets, and I've gone on 2x more dates with gorgeous girls in the last month alone so. take that as you will update 18 months later: this was the first Big Girl Bottle of perfume I dropped a pretty penny on, which means a LOT because I'm a cheapskate lol. this might be the most perfect sexy mature scent. I wear it on dates and out to the club all the time and everyone tells me I smell amazing. If you like dark sexy fruity things, this could easily become your favorite perfume of all time. I think it might be mine . 1 BILLION OUT OF 10

Like a goblet of thick rich dark fruit juices, served to you by a dark haired witch who lives in a spooky old stately home in the middle of the Mexican woods. Like she might be trying to poison you but the whole ordeal is too cool and sexy to care. 10/10 obsessed, perfect sillage and longevity. I don't WANT to buy this because I already have like 3 cherry perfumes but I might NEED it because it's unlike anything else in my collection.

Huge, HUGE fan of this. There is only one thing this reminds me of, and it’s a special one — a good old down home country convenience store with honey sticks, clove candies, and cherry cola. The walls are made of pine wood and the family that owns it keeps a jar of Cow Tales at the counter. It is a blessing to wear this fragrance: I smell sweet, but in a natural and earthy way. So gorgeous and so befitting for my personality!

Opens very juicy and fruity. It stays fruity for a bit as the more earthy notes start to come through. It dries down close to the skin and more intimate.The frankincense gives that incense note. On me the dry down is spicy and soapy. All the notes are still present and it ends up spa-like. I love this. Not too strong and lingers for a bit though more skin scent after drying.

If you are on the hunt for a new fruity fragrance, look no further. I have no idea what some of these fruits are, but I'm so intrigued by the exotic notes. Not super sweet, more on the tart side. Super moody from the get go and keeps me on my toes as the fragrance broods throughout the day. Must try!

Smells a little bit like a cracker barrel gift shop. Very Christmas-y. Reminds me of Rentless by Lush but less potent and more masculine in the dry down. It's unique 😊

Gorgeous and complex, the perfect winter fruit-forward fragrance. Mulled wine and nostalgia. Can't get enough.

I love the smell but it's unfortunately extremely weak

On me, it smells very strongly like a fruitier Pine-Sol or Fabuloso that fades after awhile and is less offensive. Definitely won't be buying a bottle.

On my skin, this is only pulling the spicier notes. Pepper, davana, patchouli, clove. On me, this is a spicy soap. Leaning heavily masculine.

Eauso Vert Fruto Oscuro: In the basement of an ancient Spanish mission, there's a forgotten wine cellar where the air is thick with centuries of fermentation. The sacrament itself has evolved, developed consciousness, learned to crawl out of its casks at night. It carries the memory of fruit that ripened past the point of virtue, fruit that chose to embrace decay as a form of transcendence. Black cherries prowl, lush, wayward creatures of the night, leaving trails of wax and ink in their wake, while patches of moss grow in impossible shades of purple. Somewhere in the darkness, a quince tree has taken root in the stone, its fruits fermenting on the branch, dripping jam that tastes like the midnight confession of wicked ghosts. This is fruit that has rejected the sun, each drop a tiny black mass, an unholy celebration of fruit that's gone ravenously feral in the dark. TLDR; fruit as creature of the night; goth California Raisins; a black mass of unholy cherries

I get an herbal scent: dried hay, rosemary, thyme with black currant or some other non-sweet berry. I’m guessing the pepper and elemi are making it dry with a hint of resin, and it’s more dry than fruity. REALLY not getting much in the way of fruit. Certainly no cherry is showing up. Interesting summery kind of garden, but not lush and green. Unique, really. I can’t decide if it leans too Herb Rack or if it's a perfume. Interesting and cool to sniff, but won’t purchase.

I’m obsessed with this perfume. I don’t think it’s the most groundbreaking thing I’ve ever smelled and it’s not incredibly dynamic but the patchouly and the ripe, juicy fruit together is intoxicating. This perfume makes me feel powerful and seductive and ambitious.
