Jardins de Misfah

Buried in previous reviews, a few folks mentioned this perfume as being reminiscent of Dries Van Noten "Soie Malaquais." I own a full bottle of Soie Malaquais and I ADORE the fragrance. With that said, I hoard and guard my bottle of Soie Malaquais 'cause the stuff is SO DARN EXPENSIVE. Jardins de Misfah and Soie Malaquais are completely different fragrances, IMHO. Jardins de Misfah Eau de Parfum opens differently than the extrait version; however, the dry downs are quite similar. The opening of Jardins de Misfah is VERY sharp, pungent and intensely spicy with nutmeg, saffron, cardamom and other evident spices. I'm always fearful of "date," or honey-date scents and the date accord is quite strong with this fragrance. The eau de parfum's fruity-date notes immediately emerge. But to my nose, the floral notes, specifically rose are a bit more prominent with the eau de parfum version as opposed to the extrait. The extrait version opens with a clear almond or a bitter almond accord, which softens the perfume's edges. The immediate presence of almond creates a rounder, creamier, denser fragrance compared to the Eau de Parfum. The almond accord makes the extrait feel earthier, more meditative, more sultry (I think). The perfume version is bright, almost sparkly, a bit loud and very very very spicy. I think, too the eau de parfum radiates more, has greater silage versus the extrait. And there is a definite date, or prune note present, start to finish in JdM...the date accord cannot be missed. Purchased 100ml bottles of the extrait and edp.

This is a really interesting scent. My very first thoughts on the opening were that it reminded me of a luxury aromatherapy spa in an Andalusian setting. Unisex vibes immediately. Both myself and my twenty something son were impressed with it. There are dates but they are fresh off the stalk as is the rose. It's not very sweet for me although others say it is. It's freshness for me, would allow me to wear this in Summer. It smells like a beautiful essential oil mix, again Spa vibes. I struggle to pick out the cardamon to be honest. The drydown is slightly creamy and nutty but with a slight, airy sweetness. Longevity is fair. The packaging and customer service from Une Nuit Nomade was also excellent. I will definitely purchase a full bottle. My son wants some too! Update: I've had this a few months now and what it has become is a rich black treacle and saffron with pungent ripe, fresh dates, rosewater and a warm treacly, vanilla and saffron drydown. This is the scent of Ramadan for me - shopping in Middle Eastern and South Asian grocery stores, choosing fruits and spices and going home for cozy evenings, preparing rosewater almond cookies and chai for Iftar.I will wear this in Ramadan and smell it afterwards for the memory. Its comforting and calming and a natural, culinary gourmand. some people will find this one weird but its a vibe that if you know, you know. This is not a modern synthetic or pretty-pretty scent, its organic and real.

ohhh yes yes yes . this is so wonderfull . i had a hard time trying to read the note and think how this could smell like . I have been craving Dates and dryed fruits lately so this one poped up on my radar. I read every review trying to figuere out how this would smell. and blind bought this one and oh yes this is wonderful. the rose is taif rose like , rose oil almost feels like turchis delight Rose and together with almonds and saffron its such a treat . feels like an oriental scent to me .The dates sweetnes mixing so well with all the other notes . Its sweet but not cloying sweet at least not to me .Its not to young not to old ,its balanced just perfect . there is a slight dirtynes to it with the saffron and probebly nutmeg (not sure if i pick up much of the later one) making it a tiny bit sour tartnes that to me balance the sweetnes very well . There is almost a feel of honey here to . This one lasts longer then the other ones i have tryed from the brand to . Radiates well for 4-5 hours before it becomes more of a skin scent. Perfect for summer nights and into autumn is my feel straight away

This is so pretty!! I was afraid of that saffron note. I don't smell it at all. This has all of my favorite notes...dates, cardamom, nutmeg, almond, rose and this is moving it's way on up to the top of my rose frags. If I had to say this smells similar to anything, I'd say Soie Malaquais, Attar Al Has Exquisite and City Rhythm Sultry (not in the Fragrantica database). It's a sweet, fruity and gourmand leaning rose. And if you do your research, you can find full-size bottles of this for less than $125. I'll be getting a FB very soon. This 10 ml decant isn't going to be enough. 💜 Edit: how cool is this...on the unenuitnomade.com they're offering a 100 ml bottle plus four 5 ml bottles of enhancer notes. Spices, date, almond and rose. So you can amp up your fave note in this fragrance. I think that's pretty cool!! That's limited to 100 bottles though so I guess when 100 bottles are gone, they'll remove that option from their website.

I am quite impressed. I watched a YOUTUBE fragrance blogger discuss this scent as a pretty first date scent, so I ordered a sample. I compared this to other almondy florals such as Psychedelic Love, and Remember Me by Jovoy, and a host of others. The other ones did have either cardamom, almonds, rose or spices too. Frankly, this one wins hands down. This is gorgeous....I mean truly beautiful. I ordered a bottle immediately. Love the saffron in the dry down. This may be a head-turner or not, but I will love wearing this in the cooler weather, day or night. With COVID still rearing its ugly head, work from home days will be really enjoyable . I can only describe this as freshly spiced, sweet dates combined with honey, ground almonds and rose water, and sprinkled with saffron. Not too sweet, slightly spicy, yet this one projects and lasts. It is such a unique gourmand fragrance.
