Jardin des Mots

A green lover's dream. I have found that some green fragrances that have other, punchier notes (like ginger, LotV, rose, cedar), are very green to start, then the green notes fade as they are wont to do and it becomes all about the other notes as they take center stage. Not so with Jardin des Mots - she stays green the whole wear and as someone who just wants to smell like dew-kissed grass and fresh torn leaves, it's perfect. Almost pure galbanum. More staying-power than green fragrances tend to have, so I think this is a must-try for someone who loves green as much as I do. 9/10.

Vibrant green. Slight, calm citrus in the opening. To me, it feels like walking into a florist. Warm, moist air filled with a lively, bitter green scent from all the freshly cut leaves and stems. Overall, this house offers beautiful scents. All subdued and soothing. Green usually leans Spring, but I am looking forward to wearing this on a cold, brisk, sunny, Winter day. One of those days when the new growth starts to peak above the blanket of snow. That’s when I think this will truly shine.

To be honest, this peaceful garden in the city is - according to its aroma- a damp mossy cave. Thats all right, if you like to meditate and solitude is a friend for you. The perfume is very green, like cuting out the nettle before you land ornamental flowers into fresh bed. No sweet blooms, just herbal aroma. After the top notes scent become darker. The base is a moss with subtle hint of cedar. Jardine des Mots is remarkable, a bit melancholic fragrance which has its spirit. It is not a crowd pleaser, it is a piece of art.
