Diabolique

I am not really a big fan of orientals, but this one seems to be growing on me. The scent has very moderate sillage when I apply it on my wrist and neck, yet a small spray on the bellybutton (thanks Liv Tyler for sharing this amazing tip in one of your interviews) works wonders. Eisenberg truly delivers all that was promised and more - "Its delicate presence enchants, captivates and charms.", as after 10 hours the Diabolique devil is still lurking around and tempting with its sensual trail. No other way to know where this affair leads than to give in and follow.

Diabolique???In my opinion there ́s nothing diabolique in this stuff but it maybe that I think devil smells not good. This is too good to be on the bad side. It very much has similarities with Prada perfumes - soapy iris, tenderness, softness. Good for autumn and winter evenings, candle light, wine and soft speak...Killing me softly with his words...? I think this is unisex tantrayoga

Very intense, top notes of mandarine turn out strong on my skin but quickly move on to a mystic balmy woodnote. I also smell something like olebanum in it. Just my impression. Quite different, not for everybody. Will layer it with some vanilla to get the full "smoky bar singer"-scent :)

Mostly woody and spicy, not that powdery, its warm in a way that u can still wear in summer days. Not the best of best but its good enough

Very very soapy in my opinion. Smells like old-fashioned home-made soap. There are some woody and spicy notes in it. It's also quite powdery. Iris and sandalwood are very dominant here. But the most overwhelming is that powerful soapyness. Unfortunately, I can't enjoy it as much as other Eisenberg's perfumes.

Quite sharp, powerful scent. Intense cardamom and woody notes, not bad, but you just need to like this type of scents. Not my taste, actually. Its name is intriguing though. Does devil smell like that?! I hope I will never find out:)

Just awful! Smells like baby powder. And it lasts for a long time!

There is loads of orris root in Diabolique and something, what reminds of an incense (as in LouLou by Cacharel and Passage d’Enfer by L’Artisan Parfumeur), perhaps mix of cardamom, cedar and violet, maybe vetiver. Apart form the later I also get notes mentioned on their own. Cardamom really is elusive one day and very present the next day - cannot figure out when I get it, but when I do, there is a lot of it. Violet with its wetness also stays in the background of orris, but is very permanent and lasting. After an hour I get something soapy and something anise like, which I guess is just a facet of orris (anethole, perhaps). Not an easy everyday wear for me, as it feels serious and extremely estranged. Not really extravagant or avant-garde though. Unisex. Not for the heat and very warm, sunny days, but pretty much for every other season and climate. Daytime. More than a moderate projection, which lasts around three hours, and then couple of hours more the scent stays closer to the skin. In its skin scent phase Diabolique is very comforting and calming.

I won't describe it much - it's creamy, nutty (pistachio), soft spicy. Sillage is moderate, staying power too. Not too original and is a replica of Etro. I think Pegasus. It smells the same, even in same key. That's a - + - It may be somewhere different and better than Etro. But, unfortunately both - aren't in my way.

Oh, but how I want this - just for its name, surely taken from the film Danger: Diabolik and the subsequent Beastie Boys hommage in Body Movin'. Kids, if you've not seen either, you're in for a treat, not just for the cinematography but also for the Morricone soundtrack.

Slighlty soapy soft oriental floral with a hint of spices and citruses. I could smell mostly heliotrope on woody base. Very expensive for its poor quality - no sillage and lasts only about 3 hours.
