Eau Fraiche Homme

Eau Fraiche is a very fresh, citrusy, mild spicy, light masculine scent suitable for summer and very hot weather. It opens with a blast of citruses, very natural feeling, very strong bergamot, aromatic cardamom (but without any sweetness) and a short lived note of pink pepper. Then comes to the surface a strong and dominant note of cool mint followed by ginger and neroli. The lavender is not a strong note here, it's at the background with the woody notes. The anise is clearly noticeable and caracterize this scent but it's not strong enough to play a dominant role. Tha main notes here are bergamot, mint and ginger. The longevity and the projection are both moderate. The Eau Fraiche is the weakest of the Eisenberg house but still at the average. Too pricey for such performance in my opinion but still pleasant, easy to wear and very refreshable. Buy it if you don't mind the price tag or if you like it a lot like me!

I'm wearing a sample of this today and I must say smell wise, I actually really liked it a great deal. However, everything else about it is wrong from the rubbish sample in one of those annoying card sprays to the feeble performance and lack of body in the fragrance in general. What I mean is that it opens well and smells really nice of quality ingredients and a nice wearable, well balanced, fresh, aromatic, scent but everything needs turning up to 11 and maybe would benefit from a bit of oakmoss or something. It's meek. That's the issue and maybe I should expect that from a fragrance called eau fraiche but it's not good enough really. I get citrus, ginger, pink pepper, neroli, lavender all very nice settling down to a base of vetiver and then when it's a almost dead skinscent after several hours a tiny hint of sandalwood. I've seen this going reasonably cheap now, but I believe at one time it was pricey and barely worth what it is now. I don't want to hate it because I've mentioned a couple of times that it's a nice smell but in this instance performance matters and a bit of longevity would elevate this scent no end.

I got it for my dad, a few Xmases ago. He obviously does not use it at all, so I am considering nicking it. I think it smells very unisex, to the point that I am surprised it's branded as a male perfume (I am a woman). I agree with the other comments that the first whiff is very promising, but it ends up being a tad underwhelming. Would expect more at this price. At the same time, it seems like it'd be a nice everyday, inoffensive perfume, and I like the citrusiness, so I rather it does not waste.

Nice, expensive and not long lasting. Very common. Not buying again.
