This smells like the leather seats of an old airplane. My fiancé says it reminds her of India. We love it. Like other Electimuss perfumes; this seems to have cumin, which doesn't seem to be listed in the note breakdowns of most of the line. It This is a fascinating and unique perfume. This a winter and fall fragrance that can also be work in summer as long as it is in a metropolitan setting around sunset or in a cloudy day. As far as performance: If you spray it on at night you will still smell it the next morning Im sorry but this is nothing like ombre nomade, if anything it is more of a similar concept to Nouveau Monde; it captures the essence of a chaotic city. Just because some notes are the same it does not mean that they were blended in the same amount. Again, this perfume is one of a kind.

Love the blending on this, imo this is prime niche-smelling niche with a lot of layers. Specifically, I notice the fruity-feminine open which gives me vibes of "Rose Omeyyade" (rose & raspberry - both listed), then I notice an aromatic cardamom (Xerjoff's "Starlight"), and when I go to smell the scent up-close, I get masculine, bitter-fougere from the violet leaf that eventually has a very mild & wearable leather in the base (think Roja's "Burlington 1819" turns Masque Milano "Russian Tea"). It's only let down by pricing (€340 for 100ml) and the performance isn't the most mind-blowing either (call it 8 hours on moderate sillage). But the scent is great.

Aquila Absolute is an amazing fragrance. The way the rose, fruits, leather, and the white oud come together speaks to an masterfully blended scent. Nothing overpowers any other ingredient. It is strong without being too much and would work in any climate or environment. The oud is a clean one that pairs well with the fresh rose scent. The raspberry connects with the rose and melds smoothly. The leather note isn’t pronounced but works with the patchouli and labdanum to provide balance in the base of the fragrance. I don’t get much cardamom but it helps to provide a fresh spiciness in the opening.

Love this. You can definitely smell a burst of raspberry in the opening, giving it a fruity twist and softening the edges. Oud and leather are also present from the start, they're pretty harsh and the fragrance is nicely balanced by the sweet fruity side. Cardamom is noticeable but isn't a main player at all. It dries down into a leathery oud fragrance, very masculine IMO. It's heavy handed and very well crafted. I think this brand handles oud extremely well most of the time, they manage to balance it nicely with enough sweetness to not make it super harsh. Performance is excellent.

This is SO GOOD. One of the best Electimuss to date. I got a sample of this and thought to myself damn this stuff is amazing. It was one of those moments where you smell something so good for the first time and can’t help but smile. A perfectly blended fragrance as mentioned below with such a nice oud to make it more interesting. It’s not cloying or too sweet from the raspberry note. This fragrance really shines. It’s masterful perfumery. And that bottle is so cool. I snagged a tester bottle for a discounted price and cannot wait for it to arrive. This is a 10/10 fragrance for me.

I can bathe in this stuff. It's so unique, not mass appealing, but opulent and fruity. It does smell like a positive imagination of floating in space somehow... not a realistic, mineral type of space, but like being in zero gravity drinking a fizzy drink.... haha this stuff is super unique, alot of people won't like this, I'm not one of those people. 😍

I think it's similar to the Nilam's Atelier Materi. The only difference is that this AA has its fruitness side, while the Cuir Nilam is more to the fresh that feels of its violet leaves. My AA pocket after two hours of use up, Raspberry & Oud began to tone down, then switched to leather. It's interesting, but it's not new or unique.

This is a beautiful masterpiece. I wanted to get Frédéric Malle, Promise and The Moon. It has some similarities, to both of these - but, it so smooth and well composed. The White Oud and Raspberry are stars to the show here. This is one of my favorite purchases of 2024 and I got a smoking deal from MaxAroma.

Fruity and sweet with a strong overlaying of muskiness - but not rotten like some other ouds. I lose the fruitiness sometimes and just smell this lovely creamy oudy smell. My favourite and my girlfriend's favourite - she can't stop sniffing me when I wear it.

The best scent from Electimuss so far. he is very elegant and masculine. I definitely recommend it if you want to stand out. Extreme Longevity and sillage 👌🏻 worth a try. I fell in love. Its Great

This is amazing. It's just an incredibly unique, incredibly wearable ozonic raspberry woody cool woody masterpiece. Fresh but not a freshness. Candy berry but not too sweet. Literally 10/10

Aquila Absolute is the experience of being secluded in nature, it's an unusually chilly summer night and you're wearing your favorite leather jacket to keep warm. The sky is clear, there's no light pollution as you gaze at the sparkling heavens inhaling the exhilaratingly cold air. You notice the smell of the surrounding leafy plants letting out the last of their sun drenched warmth, the raspberries you're eating and the warm crackling embers, you feel invigorated and grateful to simply experience such natural beauty, that is Aquila Absolute. The aromatic cardamom and natural raspberry produce a sweet fizzy aldehydic fruit open that has a red ombre effect. The mid is all about vibrant and verdant leafy geranium, perfectly sweetened by fresh rose. The red open and soapy green mid alchemically combine to produce an alluring and beautifully blended blue smell. This blue smell is supported by a clean smoky oud and soft leather base that is illuminated by ozonic violet leaf which keeps the whole experience on the fresh and uplifting side, while providing the perfect amount of dark smoky gravitas. Initially i didnt know what to expect from this gorgeous blue bottle, so it took a while to understand how it all ties together thematically, but a few wears later it has fully revealed itself, and I absolutely adore it's natural approach to a mass appealing, highly versatile unisex fragrance. Update - continues getting better and better, this is one of the best new releases I've smelled in a while!

I have personally never had the opportunity of sampling Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather, a fragrance that is apparently somewhat similar to this one. On the other hand, I have had the opportunity of trying Lattafa’s Velvet Oud, which this immediately reminded me of. Aquila Absolute has a clear-cut leathery note, accompanied by a vibrant raspberry. The oud-rose + leathery-fruity combo is what causes this fragrance to stand out from Velvet Oud (which by the way is supposed to be a spin on Ombre Leather / Tuscan Leather I suppose). The oud comes across as only slightly funky, not enough to call it outright faecal or harsh, but it’s there. The rose is there, but it is mild and somewhat spicy from the cardamom as well. Pretty nice cologne overall, but not FB worthy for me, as the scent doesn’t really fit my lifestyle. It’s unique for sure, but unique to the point that this should mainly be worn under certain circumstances, circumstances that I find myself to rarely be in.

Another hit by Julien Rasquinet using notes that will be familiar if you have smelled his other work. I am a big fan of The Moon from Frederic Malle which also has raspberry, rose, oud and leather with Rasquinet as the perfumer so was wondering if this would be similar and although there are similarities they are very different. The raspberry is very sparkly and dry followed by a spicy oud and pronounced leather. The rose feels blended in like a filler in between the other notes. Leather, patchouli, and labdanum linger strongly in the dry down. Although I really like the scent the dry down becomes a bit tiring for me with the leather labdanum droning on. The Moon keeps me coming back to sniff it even the next day (it’s a beast) but Aquila Absolute is less intense and the dry down less interesting and inviting. I thought I would get a bottle but after a few days wearing I think my decant will be enough.

99% full bottle for swap. Everything @whateverwhocares wrote. It's a juvenile raspberry smell to my nose. More sweet than tart. I'm a sucker for raspberry in scents so I jumped at this. It's better after having had this for a couple months than it was when I first got it, but it's not my favorite raspberry, and a really don't get oud in this. Favorite rasp. still Rojas oman frag & Tuscan leather. This is different & youthful but not to my taste. It smells like a candle my 12 year old niece would keep in her room if that tells you anything. A sad thing from the man who brought us Frederick malles the moon. No comparison to ombre nomade (also not a fan of that) they are completely different frags. Get a sample of you are under 30yo and try it out. If you're over 30, you don't want this.

I like it. But just. I dig the fruity oud compositions or fruity rose/oud in this case. My concern is the performance. I am working through the discovery set straight from Electimuss. I am just over halfway through. This started nicely. Not a stand out, but certainly enjoyable. However, it was gone in about 5 hours with little projection to speak of. And I used 5 sprays for context. The oud isn't harsh and altogether it is very wearable. I like violet leaf in a fragrance and I did pick that up. Yet it didn't move the needle. I haven't tried Tuscan Leather so I can't compare. I could possibly see getting this at a discounter but certainly wouldn't pay full price for. I usually wouldn't pay $400 for something gone before lunch. 7 ish hours and I really loved it....maybe.

Lovely fragrance! If you are keen to try this fragrance, it is available in their discovery set. 20 samples for £95, and fully redeemable on a full bottle! I was super keen to try this fragrance and the oud is present but not funky or overpowering. It is a very well blended fragrance. The floral notes are there, but not front and centre. I like rose notes, but prefer them to be subtle and working with other notes, rather than standing out over the top. Definitely on the wishlist!

I really didn't like this at first because of how different it was from most fragrances I've smelled. However my curiosity got the best of me and I gave it another chance. I'm honestly glad I did. I was surprised at how clean and soft the oud was in this. The oud, roses and cardamon were the big players in the beginning. Slowly a slight sweetness started to form and the leather notes became more noticable. Very nice smooth blend.

Ok im wearing this now and testing for the first time. I like this! This is different. It is warm watery herbal. Sometimes water accords dont work for me but this one i am enjoying! Very balanced very smooth, very well done and very niche. This is what i expect from niche perfumery. Today i added a bit of nr pure musc and it was a great combo!

Another bad example of raspberry, but it’s mixed with nice rose and blue ozone, like ocean air. Interesting, but not it. ...unless you’re looking for a semi-aquatic, nuanced, rose brew with a not-the-worst-but-still-gnarly raspberry note.

Slightly spicy and medicinal oud and drys down to a floral leather with a slight rubber smell. the geranium stays from top to bottom for me and the raspberry just adds a sharpness and sweetness to this very good longevity

Opens ozonic, aromatic fresh with some spices Tee main note is leather along with some wood In the opening the leather is fruity and tart like raspberries But later roses and wood become more noticeable

Sorta "real oud" adjacent, like you can get a taste of the funky depth, but it's not well blended. Feels like you're smelling two perfumes at once: fruits and florals dancing around while a slightly skanky oud tip toes being intrusive. Gives the same fruity leather vibe as Tuscan Leather, which I don't care for, and has a spiciness to it too. I'm ambivalent here.

Spicy opening (I can feel saffron and some cardamom) with lots of sweetness underneath. Rich Oriental composition. It’s too strong and too sweet for my liking. Reminds me of some Tiziana Terenzi fragrance and one of the newest Victoria Beckham perfumes. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

I loved it at first, the raspberry note is photorealistic, the rose and oud are soft. However, after trying it more, I realized that this composition doesn't work well on my skin, I am getting a sweaty armpet smell from this now. 🤢

Reminds me of MAC Lady Danger or Kilian Madly in Love. Or even Jusbox Black Powder. Heavy on the white oud, leather, raspberry. Raspberry slightly balances it out. Not bad. Starts to smell slightly soapy after an hour.

This fragrance contains Hexyl Cinnamal. Animal studies have demonstrated that Hexyl Cinnamal is an endocrine disruptor--do better, Electimuss. Choosing to smell sexy shouldn't be a hazardous decision.

I'm blown away by the positive reviews and the mention of how lovely the raspberry is. Sadly to my nose and skin, I get no fruit at all. I'm very patchouli sensitive but in the case of Aquila Absolute, the combination of cardamom, geranium, labdanum and patch made for a very harsh experience. I had to scrub it off right away. Fortunately Trajan saved the day from the set. I'm not sure even if the raspberry came through that I would enjoy this.

When i opened the latest sample bundle i’ve aquired, the sprayer of the Aquila Absolute sample had fallen off. As i've put the spring and sprayer top back on, inevitably a tiny bit was sprayed on my fingers. As i stole a sniff, in my mind i exclaimed “Oh i know what this is!” The scent debuts with sweet, fruity notes and an unmistakable leather. To my nose it is similar with Ombre Leather, done more unisex, with more elements and evolution. The rose takes a while to appear and its there to support the raspberry in adding color and brightness. The white oud works the same way the “oud” in Layton Exclusif does, it dries out the composition. Aquila Absolute is all about leather, fruit and rose so the two go on separate ways and smell nothing alike, its just a similar effect at play with the oud. The way i sense the fragrance, i can compare with editing a photograph. When you turn up the sharpness dial and everything just pops out, the edges become clearer and sharper but not to the point it becomes weird. Mind you, there are no sharp facets here, im simply trying to convey the dryness of the scent that creates a crisp scentprofile. The fragrance has quiet a personality, with enough notes and accords to make it interesting and not just a basic leather scent. However, im wondering if you would get much more enjoyment out of it then out of Ombre Leather, which is also a very well done, albeit simpler, sweet-ish leather scent. To put it differently, it’s a “niche” and more unisex Ombre Leather with a hefty price difference. Not blindbuy safe but at these prices thats a given.

This is a very well composed perfume in my opinion but, unfortunately, it was not for me. To my nose it has a lot in common with perfumes like Tuscan Leather, with that leather note that feels so sharp to me. The most pleasant part of the perfume for me is the opening, with cardamom that refreshes the composition. In the dry-down, however, the leather reigns along with the sweetness of the raspberry, with the floral part present very faintly to my nose, perhaps already stunned by that leather that is so harsh for me. Much later in the development of the perfume, the oud comes out as the leather note goes down and the perfume becomes more pleasant to me. Although for leather lovers it may be a unisex perfume, I feel it leans more towards the masculine side. It has a remarkable projection and lasts more than 12 hours on my skin. Leather lovers, if you have the budget or want to treat yourself, since it is a very expensive fragrance, I think you might want to try it. After limited wearing this is without a doubt the cleanest Oud fragrance I’ve ever tried, where the Oud is still perceptible on its own but presented in such a palatable way with the other materials. Aquila Absolute attempts to make Oud insanely wearable imo and accomplishes it immaculately. This is an Oud that could truly work for an everyday fragrance and is better suited for such than something like LV Ombré Nomade. If you have been sniffing around some time now you know how prevalent raspberry/oud frags are but this one offers such a unique take that definitely deserves some attention! This is some heat guys and I’d say is without a doubt FB worthy. Even my momma was like “dang that smells good” when I saw her, and she tells me straight haha

This is a nice, bright, fruity and clean leathery oud, in a similar genre to Tuscan Leather without smelling the same - but aside from that. This is definitely the single most potent thing I have ever sprayed (excluding my 2 drop sample of a Sultan Pasha Attar - which technically wasn't "sprayed" anyway). One single depression of the atomizer and I have been unable to properly smell the three other frags I got in swap with this in the same room. It's currently acting as a room spray on steroids. I cannot smell anything BUT this as I sit here 5 or 6 feet away from where I sprayed it, at least 30 minutes later. There is no possible way you could ever need more than one spray of this on yourself.

I recently got a sample of this as part of the Electimuss sample set. Overall I like it but it's not something I need to get a full bottle of. Primarily I get dark leather, rounded out with a touch of spice, fruity rose and oud. Nothing groundbreaking but it is pleasant, smooth, and clearly very well blended. Performance is rather moderate. I think this would work nice as a classy formal scent for dressed-up business occasions. Totally unoffensive. Sidenote: I own and looove Ombre Nomade and I strongly disagree on comparing Aquila Absolute to that. Super different.

Raspberry, roses, Oud. Some leather, violet leaf. I get these notes but mostly like a well blended sweet powdery oud. It smells like a vintage lipstick mixed with a clean oud. It is sweet, delicate and very smooth. The Oud becomes dominant in the drydown. Leather is also persistent. I am not an Oud lover but can see the beauty of this scent. Very good.

Off the top: oud, fruits, leather. Some elements of ombre nomad. Also resembles ombre leather somewhat but with fruity elements heightened. As it dries, some facets of amouage interlude pop up, but don’t get it twisted, it’s wearable. Not a sweet, resinous cocktail like most of what we’re seeing today. Overall right up my alley and very happy with it.

Just received my sample and yes, it is perfectly blended multilayered and vibrant fragrance, full bottle worthy asap! I am not into the leather scents at all but I love it, can’t wait to wear it with the leather jacket this 🍂 autumn!

Masculine fragrance in my opinion, quite strong scent, modern I would say, and a bit obnoxious. Not really for me as it's just too much. I can imagine young people wearing this is to a club. As it says, woody, spicy, oud, leather.
