Caspian Cherry

Sampling Caspian Cherry from a Jovoy 2 ml sample. My very first encounter with Electimus London. Let’s see how it goes... Caspian Cherry is to my nose more about coconut, honey, amaretto and cinnamon than actual cherry! Very unexpected turn of notes I guess... Do I like it?? Yes, but to me Caspian Cherry is not about cherry. Has even more coffee and dark chocolate than cherry as it starts to dry down. A bit strange that, but it’s definitely nice! I’m a coconut person so it doesn’t bother me. I am a gourmand lover so I am alright with the more sweet, foodie notes to come through to my skin...It’s nothing I am crazy about and feel like I need to buy a bottle immediately, but it’s a very enjoyable, well blended and balanced scent. After about five minutes from spraying it on skin the cherry note starts finally coming forward. It’s a dark, boozy, bittersweet cherry that pairs really nicely with the amaretto liquor. Like cherries dipped into alcoholic beverages, but something sophisticated. It’s definitely not a linear fragrance, and smells rich! Will update in a few hours regarding the longevity and projection.

OMG.....this is good! The smell is right on my alley....you have a boozy amaretto cherry dipped in coffee sweetened with a little chocolate and honey....but not overly sweet, that makes the perfect cocktail for winter!I can feel those in this order.....amaretto,chocolaty-patchouli, tonka, honey, and the cherry accord in the background! Elegant and sofisticated! For me it was a blind buy, just like many fragrances that I have, and a succesful one....although this one has a small minus, i wanted a lot more cherry! Totally UNISEX! Blind buy, only if you are familiar with unisex gourmand fragrances....it's like Killian Angels' share if you take out the apple-pie accord and you add cherry( it won't make you smell girly :)))))! If you are a men and into fresh/masculine scents, and you are afraid of this might be too feminine....just skip it, it's not for you! I can see this wearing with an elegant outfit on a dinner/date! MEEEEEE like it!Presentation......top notch! I can't tell anything about performance yet, this needs to be test it!

Caspian Cherry is a gorgeous and refined chocolate cherry scent. 🍒🍫🥃🪵 You really do smell each note during the intended phase, and each blends seamlessly into the next from top to base. The vetiver, sandalwood, and patchouli really prevent it from being a sickly sweet gourmand, while the amaretto and coffee are the perfect liquor pairing. Imagine you're sitting near a fireplace, having a cherry chocolate dessert while sipping amaretto wrapped in a blanket. It is cozy, enticingly beautiful and airy despite the dense notes, creating a long-lasting scent bubble with moderate projection (around 9 hours) that feels like a hug from your lover. I'm hooked on how the fragrance seems to linger around you, but it's not obnoxious in any way, and I've already received two compliments on this as well. 100% suited for fall and winter, day or night thanks to how it's been blended to perfection. This is my first purchase from Electimuss, but definitely isn't my last.

This one is blended to perfection. I blind bought this thinking it was going to be a sickenly sweet cakey gourmand scent (and I was ok with this expectation, I really trust the brand), but it's really beautiful, definitely unisex and versatile. The opening with the black cherries dipped in the amaretto liquor is strong, but then that boozy fruitiness settles down with this incredible chocolate, honeyed feeling. Definitely an interesting take on the 2024 cherry trend, it's worth trying if you're into that. On me it has moderate projection, and it's nicely lasting, around 7hrs. I'm going to make very good use out of this in the cold season!

This one opens soo boozy and unpleasant..... and then in the dry down the magic happens. A beautyful coconut with white chocolate, vanilla and a hint of coffee and cinnamon. After a few hours I mostly get vanilla and coconut. I don't get any cherry at all. I got a sample and then bought a full bottle. It is perfect for winter and spring, and I can easily wear it all day (and for work)

Next to Commandante by Xerjoff this is the best cherry fragrance out there. I do enjoy Lost Cherry but it is not nearly as complex. Hands down my absolute favorite from the house of Electimuss even in front of Emperium.

Caspian Cherry Is a hidden gem that needs to be spoken about more because this fragrance is so good it’s a great black cherry scent with honey, coconut, amaretto, chocolate omg this is a very unique gourmand

Nice sweet cherry (like a cherry compote) in the opening and it dries down to a spicy floral. It is a really good scent to my nose.

Almost gourmand, boozy cherry amaretto scent. I prefer this to a lot of the recent cherry releases.

My first Electimuss frag and I’m not a fan. The cherry is fleeting. It’s not fresh cherry smell nor is it a sweet cherry smell, it’s rather the essence of cherry before you are hit with a powdery coconut smell that turns into a garbled mix of intense incense. To my nose I’m missing most of the scents listed above and just getting cherry, coconut, vetiver, sandalwood, and a huge dose of patchouli, in that order. I could see some ladies that like masculine leaning colognes rocking it, but generally I’d say it’s more masculine leaning to me and a more mature scent. If I’m being completely honest, I’m very adverse to many incense like smells on myself or my husband. It has a tendency to give me a migraine. I had hope for this one though because of the scents listed, alas I’m glad it was in my scentbox order and not a full bottle blind buy. This is a beast as far as silage and longevity. One spray on my wrist has lasted all day and on into the night. This is not a safe blind buy, this is not an office perfume. EDITED TO ADD: The dry down on this frag is much better that the opening or the heart. Once everything is settled I can smell a tamped down version of cherry/coconut and a much less intense incense aroma. It is wearable, for me now, but I will still see how it smells on my husband. Last EDIT: I broke down and bought a full bottle, for my husband! All of the nuances that wouldn’t come through for me, came through on his skin. And Lord help it smells so good on him. There is no thick incense smell on him and the cherry comes through like a lion. The powder is there but the freshness of the cherry keeps it tamped down and the coconut is more of a milk like smell that rounds out the cherry. It lasts a long time on him too. He has had compliments from women and men a like at work.

Well, after wearing this fragrance for two days, I can tell about each stage of its opening. At the opening, it’s a sour and juicy cherry, almost like a “drunk cherry” liqueur🍒. I don’t pick up on the amaretto liqueur, but there’s a certain nuttiness—perhaps from apricot kernels or young almonds, as there’s a slight nutty bitterness. The honey in this composition also doesn’t bring any sweetness, it resembles the scent of waxy honeycombs. For those who know scent Kilian Back to Black it has a similar combination of cherry and honey notes, and both fragrances start out sounding quite similar. When the fragrance settles into the base, it becomes more powdery due to the sandalwood, warm woods and tonka beans. The composition softens and becomes more airy, acquiring a faint chocolatey sweetness, though more as a hint than a dominant note. The base also brings out a coconut note on me, which comes across as very natural and beautiful. It’s an elegant composition, and you won’t find any overt gourmand elements here. Although looking at the pyramid, many might assume the fragrance will be very sweet and dense, it’s actually quite restrained, sitting close to the skin. It probably would leave a trail if you applied 5-6 sprays instead of just two. I wouldn’t recommend a blind buy, as you might be misled by the pyramid and not get what you’re expecting from this fragrance.

Lovely at first nice cherry after a hour it's gone then a heavy musky tart luxurious soap smell it has that recognised smell from Mercurial Cashmere and vanilla edesia in this one I think it's to early to say on this one update!!!! so the tester was very different to the actual bottle which is very strange I absolutely love this very boozy with a very nice sweet cherry to begin with then transfers to a warm elegant woody patchouli milkybar chocolate touches of cinnamon and coconut very nice it's not as long lasting as alot of there fragrances nor dose it projects if you have tryed ath addicted they share some similar functions. the lack of projection and longevity doesn't take away how well this is put together and how beautiful this is

Opens with the rich aroma of chocolate covered cherry liqueurs, smooth, sweet, and wonderfully indulgent. Almost immediately, a creamy, slightly powdery coconut note emerges, accompanied by a delicate drizzle of golden honey that adds warmth and depth. As the fragrance settles, white chocolate, tonka bean, and sandalwood blend seamlessly to create a soft, velvety dry down. The overall composition feels luxurious and comforting, striking a beautiful balance between gourmand sweetness and refined elegance. On my skin, longevity is around six hours with noticeable projection throughout much of the wear.

This is good. Doesn't smell like any other cherry fragrance I've smelled. In the same usability ballpark as French defense by mind games, but very different. It reads as a gourmand by notes, but isn't. It also has an element of class to It. Very surprised. Very good and unique. Not a loud banger, but does have good longevity. 8.75

This opens up very alcoholic/medicinal for about 30 seconds. After that it becomes this beautiful boozy cherry almond smell. Let it dry down even more and youre going to get a sweet and a bit floral smell. Imo this is unisex and leaning a bit fem but i could definitely see a man wearing this. Overall a 7,5 or an 8 / 10

Cherry, yes. But, it is fleeting. Gone in no time. You are left with a slightly boozy chocolate with a hint of coconut. The rest is in the noise. However, the drydown is addictive. Lasts about 6 ish hours on skin, at least on my skin. A little pricey yet I think worth having.

The Amaretto comes in sharp, flickers on cherry car freshener but settles into a rich, boozy cherry blossom like powder. The sillage is pretty big, like the scent was on the person in front of me. I like it okay but my husband loves it on me if that means anything to you.

I received this as a sample and was intrigued by the name, especially since I’m a big fan of cherry. Unfortunately, this leans more towards amaretto and booziness and/or artificially, than pure cherry. The coconut as a middle note presents itself way too quickly, which makes me think of body lotion. The coconut mixed with white chocolate adds another artificial layer, which sweetens it, and it definitely leans feminine. The only place I would consider wearing it as a man would be on the beach (and that’s only because of the artificial coconut!). I’ll pass this on to a girl friend who loves amaretto.

I had big expectations for this one based off of the notes and description. The leather is not pleasant and the cherry does not smell like it to me. After the opening I am experiencing an unpleasant yet nondescript fragrance. Cheap synthetic smell. Hints of almonds, musk and leather. I think. Not a good introduction for Electimuss. After this I will not be rushing out to try more. There are so, so many fantastic fragrances out there for us to try. Hell there are so many mediocre fragrances out there for us too. This is not one of them. Unfortunately Kevin Mathys appears to be a subpar perfumer. If this is his best, and I hope it isn’t, he may want to rethink his career path. Because this is terrible. But we must remember he is not alone. A team of executives and a marketing department thought that this was good enough to bring to market and that they can and should sell it. All I can say is good luck fellas. The only good things I can say about it is projection is poor and although it starts of awful it does soften into nondescript dreck vaguely reminiscent of animal and white floral. Hopefully longevity will be the same so we can quickly put all of this unpleasantness behind us and something else on. Unfortunately longevity on this is outstanding.

I couldn't find a sample of this anywhere so I blind bought it direct from Electimuss, against my better judgement. Don't be like me. It's...strange. I think Electimuss must go hard on some particular aromachemicals because nothing I've smelled from them was even close to how it's supposed to smell. In the opening Caspian Cherry smells mostly like bitter chemicals to me. Like a combo of some poor quality rubbery plastic item fresh out the box and really cheap makeup powder. In the air though, I get wafts of how I think it's kind of supposed to smell. No cherry, but a nice honeyed coconut and chocolate, I think? I can't purposely seek out the scent. I have to just passively experience it so I can't really get a good feel for it, but I get a lot of coconut, and it's a really nice coconut. As soon as I go for a proper sniff it goes back to powdery plastic and chemicals though. The presentation and box are absolutely top notch, for what that's worth. I think this is the heaviest bottle I own. It's probably very nice if you can detect those aromachemicals properly but so far it's mostly a big fat L for me, and from some other reviews it seems like I'm not the only one.

Maybe something is wrong with my bottle, but this stuff is a mess. I do not get any cherry, instead I get a harsh, medicinal opening with a hint of a boozy accord which must be the Amaretto. Once you take your medicine, it settles down into a powdery, slightly creamy mess - I don’t really get any of the notes listed, just kind of a weird powdery smell. The ultimate dry down is fine, but nothing worth waiting for. I really wouldn’t classify this as a gourmand because there isn’t enough cherry, chocolate, Amaretto or coconut to make much of a difference. This is very disappointing. Not a safe blind buy. I am generous when I rate it 3/10.

I find Caspian Cherry to be very synthetic. I do not get a strong distinct cherry, but rather some sharp, synthetic powdery scent. I do not like it.

Synthetic. Feminine. Sweet. Trash for me but on a woman very good.

I purchased a full bottle based on the notes and bottle. The opening accord is very strong, laced with the scent sharp and bitter dark cherries. The cherry is quick to take a supporting role, allowing the amaretto to take center stage whereas the cherry still lingers in the background. The cherry is dry and dusty, medicinal, even herbaceous in its own way. This is the scent profile that can be an acquired taste such as that of absinthe, Jägermeister, etc... I personally like camphorous and herbaceous notes, they remind me of the dewy woods in my early morning walks. Thereafter, the honey and amaretto work in unison to create a smooth and dusty scent profile. I'm reminded of a clove honey and there is a sweetness present that comes from tonka beans. The scent is rather creamy and dusty at this stage, with the cherry still blending into the background. You have to smell the scent for an extended bit in order for the cherry to present itself into the accord; this is not a saccharin cherry that pines for your attention. You have to search for it among the cascade of flavors. I don't detect much coconut. I detect more coconut in Piano Santal. The chocolate notes are really smooth, dense, and almost oily. Like melting dark chocolate in your mouth. The chocolate projects the most in my opinion. It's decadent and relaxing to be working and picking up a gentle waft. I believe that this fragrance is not for beginners. There are many layers to be found here that require a patient nose that can segregate the ingredients, in order to admire them like a smooth cognac or spicy whiskey with toffee notes.

The opening of this fragrance is very different from the dry down. The experience is anything but linear. Initially, you get a fruity, tart cherry. The almond is also very prominent. Projection is quite good and it leaves noticeable scent trails. After the first hour or two, the cherry fades, and I start to perceive the (in my opinion) synthetic sweetness taking over more and more. This persists throughout the entire dry down and even into the final stage, where I feel it turns completely into a sweet tonka/vanilla accord. During the last few hours, it reminds me a lot of Initios Side Effect. If you’re looking for a cherry fragrance similar to TF - Lost Cherry or Bodacious that is “syrupy,” then this is not the right scent for you. Some might consider it’s complex that Caspian Cherry changes character throughout the wear, but personally I find it more to be a fragrance that teases you with something unique in the opening, yet, like many other cherry scents, fails to fully maintain the cherry note and do it’s ”job”.

I can’t decide how I feel about this. Blind bought (cause I’m a gambler apparently) as the notes sounded divine. Like someone below said, there’s a ton of amaretto in the beginning ... and it’s quite sharp amaretto (and it’s usually a note I really like a la blossom love by Amouage for example). It’s also a LOT sweeter than I was anticipating, although it’s more sugary sweet at the beginning it does dry down to a more delectable creamy scent and the honey comes out in after an hour or two. I’m hoping it’ll smooth out over time and I haven’t rated it yet. Will come back in a month or so and see how it matures. I see a lot of reviewers online confused by this and I get it now. It’s a very complex scent and it evolves A LOT over the course of the wear.

Took a gamble on this one because the price was right, the name gave me a giggle and I wanted to try something by Electimuss. It turned out far better than I thought, sometimes it pays off to explore blindly. The perfume is boozy and smooth, the cherry makes it sweet but not cloyingly so. A tiny spray is enough to smell it all day. I keep thinking throughout the day: what smells so good here and it turns out to be me. Even the next day it's still very much there in your clothes. Definitely a luxurious scent. So for me this perfume turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The packaging and bottle are both sublime as an extra. I don't think I ever had a heavier bottle. I might try another one :0)

Powdery? What planet are these people making the comments on? It’s not at all powdery.... Excellent cherry scent, although the cherry sent wains after 30 minutes to an hour, and then you get a sweet, vanilla boozy chocolate finish which is incredibly pleasant in mass appealing... my favorite cherry scent is still French defense, but this is an easy close second.... Incredibly long lasting with excellent projection., great for date nights and probably more cooler daily wear.... I could also see people wearing this on date nights in the summer as well. I think the heat will make it project even better so you would back off the sprays...simple fix

Very nice scent. Initial sour, bitter cherry and amaretto opening, dries to a tart smooth almost floral scent, with soapy vibe. Very unique scent, don't blind buy this. I genuinely like the harsh contrast between the opening and the dry down, it's like 2 different fragrance in one. Will purchase again.

Very strong cherry, Amarena/black cherry type in the opening. It is medicinal and artificial smelling. It evolves into a heavy tonka and liquor scent. It becomes more Tonka and woody notes centered by the drydown. Heavy, synthetic, elevated migraine potential... A sample is more than enough for me.

I get the cherry, but also super sweet powdery aspects I don’t love.It's much more perfume-y than I expected. It just lifts off the skin, loud and bright and it won't scrub off either. I tried hard and could still smell it all day. A pass for me, though not an outright hate.

This opens smelling legitimately like paint thinner. Very harsh opening. Then that subsides and I get a slightly powdery and very sweet cherry/floral/honey scent with a patchouli backbone. It's loud and feminine leaning to me. The start though... Rough.

Sharp, slightly astringent cherry. Like a badly mixed vodka + cherry liqueur cocktail. Becomes softer over time but still not at all compatible with my skin. On paper it’s way more of what it should be about - smooth Disaronno with some airy top notes.

This stuff sticks around forever, and not in a good way. I got some on my hands by accident while sampling it and I could smell is for days. I must have washed my hands 37 times and it would not come off. The sandalwood lingered behind the most.

An elevated cherry, amaretto & sandalwood scent. Not gourmand, only slightly leaning that way. This is unique and not just a typical cherry. Maybe a bit powdery though so for that reason not sure it’s for me.

Love at first spritz BUT as it dries down, that's where the problem starts. All happy bright cherry and cognac disappears and I am left with this really synthetic floral almond smell. I dont know...

Well I guess we know what the new fragrance releasing October 7th is. Hopefully this will be priced similar to Spice D'Arno and in a year I'll be able to buy it for $150 off discounters.
