Cupid's Kiss

Finally! A perfume that is on par with my best Iris fragrance in the collection. An Iris composition based on the real aroma of the bitter, acidic and pale concrete of orris butter away from the fictitious high velvety sweetness based on accords of roses and violets...very good by Rasquinet! Imagine a Dior Homme Parfum with its entire structure reinvented, with all its elements of an overflowing high quality with everything wilder and darker...that in short is Cupid's Kiss. The great detail is that it is not a perfume for everyone, its powdery dryness is very particular in addition to its spicy spicy beginning and given its originality I don't think it will be to everyone's taste, don't expect a nice cupid-style love story in. The oud accord is very much the woody/dry style that Provenzano uses in almost all his compositions, it does not bother, it pleases easily but it is not a great contribution either and the suede is a warm attempt to provide warmth and some sweetness to an all-in-one composition. You look distant, complex but above all very, VERY interesting. Iris fragrance lovers looking for something different to add to their collection, this dried leather wrapped in gently sweetened, vegetal and bitter aged orris butter will be a great addition to your collection.

I'm glad I own this. Honestly. You don't magically get younger 😆 things age. I am not happy about the price, but the main star here are the natural oils (apparently, but I'm sure some will bicker.) and the suede. If you can get this for 200$ it's like a more grown up DHI, IMO. less sweet (I wish there was a stone fruit in here somewhere.) and more clean then DHI, while also being animalistic. It is hard to pinpoint how this smells. Like a barber shop, covered in hair, but YOU aren't in the hair, your sitting on the suede couch waiting, for a GREAT haircut. The scent alone, il give a 7.5 but I vote based on the aura it gives, so meaning "crowd pleasing" ability. This isn't that. If you like manly, barber shop, but you are a BIT bored of it, this is very nice, and refreshing. Reminds me of something guerlain would of made in the 90s, to be honest.

Healing Spiritual Fragrance✨️🌿 Its labdanum, orris and immortelle notes have this resinous woody feel to it, that makes me feel like I'm enlightened with chruch incense. I would've thought the pink pepper and bergamot would create a sense of spunk to the perfume, but I did not sense it. I still love it, but it doesn't give me cupids kiss, but maybe along the lines of a healer's kiss. Super soothing for the soul, and I would do meditations with this perfume🧘♀️ I'd suggest Golestan Tauer extrait, if you want to have more of an ethereal feel. Zodiac Trio ⬆️Gemini☀️Saggitarius 🌙Leo

Scent of an English gent.. this is very much so in line with DHP. Maybe this isn't a hobby to you, and you wear for pleasure. This is a deeper, authentic DHP. more natural, more condensed, well blended DHP. not for faint of heart. Deep buttery orris root, charming suede, all paired with a woody, aromatic, almost green base. It's a wonderful smell when you realize what you have. I paid an arm and a leg, but I also got 4 10 ml samples and a great EL atomizer to go with it. Cheers.

I will say. This gets better with time, and is arguably the BEST cooler / fall autumn weather scent around. This stuff cuts through the air, floods the nostrils, and has the warmest butter smooth orris suede combo I've smelled in a while.. solid 9.5 / 10 for cooler weather

I’m a huge fan of Julien’s creations. If I had to define 'Niche' with a single scent, it would definitely be Cupid’s Kiss💜. Of everything the brand has released, this perfume is definitely the crown jewel for me.

Seems very masculine. I love it. Though, thought I was smelling Iris, cedar and papyrus. Looking at the notes above guess not. Evolves really nicely on skin. Beautiful magic.

In the realm of DHI, but more mature (or older feeling), if you can call it that. I like the herbal aspect. I don't have DHI but I do have Prada LHI. LHI is an easy reach and versatile. I think can be worn dressed up or down. Its your fragrance, you wear it how you want. Same with this. I like LHI but its not my initial selection. I wear it more for my wife. This is in the same category. While nice, it wouldn't be my first thought. Therefore, it makes it to the want list. I'm just not prioritizing it over others at the moment. Even finding it at a discounter. Still doesn't move the needle. Overall, nice scent. Not loud. But lasts over 6 hours on my skin. Nice profile. Happy hunting.

It's a good fragrance. I wish it was a bit more sweet, with maybe some dark fruit (no vanilla) and a bit less anamalic. It's not alluring or sexy imo, but I'm not a women and I haven't worn it anywhere yet. I don't think this screams sexy. It's barber shop, suede anamalic. A dirty clean fragrance, that changes from aromatic barber shop fresh, to anamalic aromatic, to a softer, almost amber suede. It's a done right fragrance, I was just expecting a bit more of a fruit of the loom appeal.

Truly artistic creation. One can sense that Julien Rasquinet had a good share of freedom while developing Cupid's Kiss. The fragrance opens in an almost innocent way with a peppery Iris. Once the opening subsides, Cupid's Kiss rapidly becomes darker, almost resinous with a spicy immortelle and a suede accord. The late drydown presents an odd, salty and slightly sweed woodiness. A shape-shifting, complex fragrance that demands time to be fully understood.

Buttery orris is softening a very rich and spicy base of oud wood and suade. It has a nice touch of freshness from pink pepper, but for me personally it’s mostly about soft and slightly sweet oud wood. Definitely very sexy and powerful! Follow me on IG: scent.guide

Opens up with a blast of orris with some freshness. Then it develops into a woody leather. I'm not a huge fan, but it's well crafted. The opening is unisex, but the dry down is very masculine on my skin with a mix of oud and leather.

First Take: very peppery opening that comes off very masculine. its oudy yes. I dont get the bergamot. i don't get the immortelle either and i doubt i ever would - there are such heavy overpowering notes in here. I'd swear there is cumin. its powdery but comes off as coarse and grainy to me. after about 20 minutes on my skin the heaviness smooths out and turns more suede-y. its much more enjoyable now. but i still think its too masculine for my use. holy cow, another half an hour and I actually DO smell the immortelle. its softened that much. wow. i see why people like this fragrance. still probably not for me, but it is definitely an interesting story.

So after quite some time with this I don't see the point to this unless you like playing dress up with a nappy and dummy it just is too powdery not sweet enough it leaves a dry sour taste in your mouth just like baby powder would I really don't get the reviews that get so much more from this don't get me wrong I'm a big fan of this house but this is a miss. Not unpleasant but this really doesn't translate in to a fragrance more like something you would in you laundry or even a hippy shop

This is pure suede! That's it! 😆. This is SUPER WEAK. This is supposed to be an extrait but is more like a cologne concentration. The initial spray has a slight fruity smell but disappears quickly. The company should be embarrassed to release this weak linear fragrance and charge such a high price.

I grew up in Central Europe and this reminds me so much of these little incense cones you light and put into decorative houses and little smoker figurines during the holiday season. Cannot get over this connection.

This fragrance contains Hexyl Cinnamal. Animal studies have demonstrated that Hexyl Cinnamal is an endocrine disruptor--do better, Electimuss. Choosing to smell sexy shouldn't be a hazardous decision.
