Mercurial Cashmere

I bought the Electimuss Luxury Discovery Set and this was one of the 20 samples at the time of purchase. Before buying the set, I was pretty adamant that I was going to buy Imperium, but given you get the cost of the discovery set off a full bottle, it just makes sense to buy. I smelt every sample on the provided strips to begin with, before putting aside the 7/8 that stood out to me. I didn't check the reviews here beforehand, and I'm glad I didn't, because based on the above, you'd assume this scent leant heavily feminine and it probably would have skewed my opinion, but I wouldn't say is the case at all. On paper I can see the argument, but on skin, to me it actually leans more masculine. Maybe it manages to be a true unisex and transforms based on the wearer. Whatever the case, I highly recommend trying this, whether you're male or female. I find this scent to be truly special, to my nose and my taste. I have worn it on skin both for a day in the office, and on a Sunday afternoon lounging around the house. For reference, it's currently spring, it's not warm, but also not cold - mild to nice let's say. This is what I expect of Niche perfumery, it opens with an instant hit of something attention grabbing, and it settles down into a beautifully sweet and comforting Caramel Vanilla, although manages to retain enough about it to not become another generic Vanilla scent, and it doesn't become too Gourmand, which isn't a profile group that typically does well for me. It's comforting, not sickly. It maintains a backbone of woody amber, which for me help it maintain a masculine edge, but I can see this working for both Men and Women, depending on the circumstance and situation. I can see this scent working well in the colder months in the office, as well as as a date night scent. It probably is a bit more mature if you're male, 25-30+ potentially. As I said earlier, I find it to be an extremely comforting scent, so it also works well as lounging around scent for me. Is it a safe blind buy? I think if you like vanilla scents, it's probably hard to go wrong, but otherwise, if you have any interest in picking up any Electimuss scents, just get the discovery set and decide for yourself, as you'll get the money off a full bottle anyway, and you might find a scent that surprises you, as this one did me. I ended up buying three different scents off the back of the discovery set, this being one of them, and as I said, this is pretty special to me. Obviously taste is personal, but I'm so glad I didn't just buy Imperium without trying the set first, as I discovered another two gems. Love it.

Tuberose-heavy opening. Creaminess comes in shortly after, followed by the vanilla. Dries down to a tuberose gourmand. I'm a tuberose lover but this doesn't do it for me-- that being said it's an objectively nice scent. I like my tuberose a little fresher (JM Tuberose Angelica) or darker (Givenchy L'Interdit). If your brain lights up at the words "tuberose gourmand" then you'll love this. For me tuberose and gourmand are best kept separate. Edit: almost a year later and I ended up being gifted a bottle of this. Decided to give it a proper chance and fell in love. It’s still very much a Tuberose gourmand, but after wearing this for a couple of days the word “cashmere” finally earned its place. It’s a very warm fragrance, sits close to the skin but also projects sufficiently (I do recommend overspraying a bit to increase projection). This settles into something extremely cozy and inviting, the type of fragrance that makes you want to stick your nose into your wrist and inhale.

So, I bought this at my friend's boutique in Orlando and had the opportunity to meet the owners of the House of Electimuss. I had met them previously at ScentXplore last year in New York. Great guys! Today I put my nose on MANY of their offerings and kept landing on this one. I get why some think it leans too feminine for their taste, but I absolutely love this and I can absolutely say that any confident gentleman can easily rock this... The longevity is good, along with the projection and sillage. Of course, all fragrances are subjective to each individual taste and preference, but I am VERY happy with this one...a great add to my collection.... As a side note I live in Florida where it is hot basically year round and this is definitely versatile enough to wear on any season... Anyway, my opinion and two cents... Well wishes to everyone and keep smelling good!!!!

I'm typing this with the smile on my face of having found another 10/10 for my wishlist. This is one pretty complex, hard to describe, but blended in a way that all notes point in the same direction, if that makes any sense. It opens with a super sparkly fruity punch, a bit minty, without being overly sweet. In the middle the happy fruityness takes a darker turn, without losing its brightness. And on the long drydown you are surrounded by this personal bubble of sweet, fresh gourmand that's waiting for the smallest breeze to announce itself. It may be too sweet for summer, but it's perfect for the whole rest of the year. Dressed up or casual, at home or a date. It's unique but familiar, and again, a solid 10/10 deliciousness for me. Wearing it from the 17 sample pack from the brand, and going full bottle ASAP

This is at the top of my wishlist right now. It is my 4 year old daughter's favorite fragrance on me, and I understand why; it is so beautifully comforting! A warm embrace of ambergris, cashmere, and caramel with the soft femininity of iris & violet. I think I will wait until autumn to purchase a full bottle for my budget's sake and because it feels more appropriate for cooler seasons, but I have been so impressed with the Electimuss fragrances I sampled. EDIT: purchased a bottle at the beginning of October, and I can't get enough of it; this is the perfect fall scent IMO. I layer it on top of Bath & Body Works Wicked Vanilla Woods lotion and use Victoria Secret's Warm & Cozy mist in my hair. The 3 of these together are phenomenal!

Really love how that smells. But for that price, I expected a bit more. It smells refined, light, airy. The opening is gorgeous, then the dry down becomes a bit more generic. You must love tuberose to enjoy this, it's very tuberose forward on my skin. It definitely smells niche, but I don't know, it doesn't make me want to splurge for a full bottle. After a few hours, it reallys only smells of powdery musks on my skin, and I like the smell of it. Performance is great. But this is the kind of fragrance that if you love it, you really love it and it becomes a signature scent. At a discounted price it's a way better buy. Overall, a very good fragrance still, love it. It's unisex leaning feminine to me.

I’m so confused by these reviews! Everyone seems to be commenting on how long Mercurial Cashmere lasts, but I’ve purchased two decants from two different places, and that is not the case on my skin. Unfortunately. This is such a gorgeous, soft, tuberose-forward vanilla/amber scent on my skin. Girly, sexy...I’m obsessed. I’d buy a full bottle in a heartbeat if it lasted longer than 30 minutes. Sadly, it fades to nothing within that time. I’ve genuinely never experienced such poor performance from such an expensive fragrance before. Devastating. Although, I did just stumble upon Pantheon Roma’s A, which smells pretty similar and lasts forever, so at least I’ve got that. Small comforts.

The opening is an absolute blast of sweet and spicy tuberose that will blow your hair back. In about an hour that fades into salty sweet purple florals, softer and more approachable. The florals remain for the entire wear, and fade slowly. There is no ‘drop off.’ In the dry down sweet caramel comes forward along with warm cashmeran and oud. The vanilla is milky and rich. I imagine wearing this dressed in a heavy ivory turtleneck sweater on a drizzly spring or fall day. Sometimes the ambergris tempts me to wear this in the heat, and I’m quickly reminded that this is a cool weather scent (mid 70s max).

This is an amazing take on Iris - musk, vanilla, caramel mixed well with powdery Iris. It does have a bit of a designer vibe but I don’t mind it, the dry down is very soft and sophisticated. When I spray I bathe in it and it’s never enough.... Intoxicating I see many compared it to Olympia and since I don’t know many designer smells I went to smell it and see for myself if I overpaid for something that smells like a cheap fragrance. I am happy to report that this synthetic flower concoction that’s called Olympia has nothing to do with Mercirual Cashmere. End of.

This is such a cosy and comforting warm sweet vanilla scent, laced with tuberose which leans bubblegummy/grape soda. It sounds basic and it potentially is but feminine and lovely nonetheless. It may bot be the most sophisticated fragrance out there, but it smells of childhood nostalgia! This features many of my favourite notes which doesn’t always turn out as you would expect but this is yummy. It smells like the fragrance to accompany wearing a matching lingerie set of satin and lace under a cashmere tracksuit with freshly blow dried glossy hair.

This perfume house has really impressed me; not only the bottles are beautiful, the liquid art inside is truly captivating. I’m not a fan of sickly sweet fragrances but I appreciate a touch of it when the notes are in harmony. Mercurial Cashmere has an enveloping softness, it’s delicate yet it has a strong presence. Tuberose, iris and vanilla are noticeable, the Oud note is distant but it’s there... there’s a pinch of spice which I love. Overall a beautiful fragrance.

Such a beautiful cashmeran tuberose. To me, the caramel feels more suggestive -- like I can tell my nose in hindsight I smell caramel, but I really smell cashmeran and tuberose and it's intoxicating. Great elevated elegnat gourmand white floral -- it's so cozy, but so goddamn fancy and also dessert-y.

Beforehand I must say that I am not a tuberose fan and I don't like salty notes and despise Olympea. Well, this perfume is a masterpiece in cold weather. Creamy, spicy florals with an oudy dry down. Beautiful, strong, special and a compliment getter if one doesn't overdo. 9/10

Mercurial Cashmere is an elegant spicy Tuberose woody vanilla perfume.its not smell cheap at all to my nose.tuberose is used in many perfumes doesn't make it identical to generic or cheap. It's so well blended. I love it

Love the combo of Tonka and musk. Super soft and long lasting
