Persephone's Patchouli

Surprised at how much I love this! This may become a signature, especially for muggy, spring to summer or summer to fall kind of days. It is refreshing but pretty. It's mildly sweet, but not sticky. I never expected this to love this so much. Definitely my favorite patchouli which is more fresh than the earthy and seems to interact with my skin beautifully as well. On my paper I would not have even tested it or thought it would be for me. The scent had a mild to moderate trail for me for most of the work day and I can still smell it as a skin scent now in the evening as well. Update: Still loving this one for a fresh yet elevated patchouli, but sometimes the rose stands out too much for my tastes at that moment. Another fresh patchouli I'm picking up for similar moments (with suede instead of rose) is TF White Patchouli.

Oh my! This was a blind buy as I found it at a really good price and tend to like patchouli so I thought why not. This is not deep dirty patchouli. This is smooth with some light fruit, maybe berries, and the patchouli softens as it dries down and shares the stage with light musk. I find this stunning. It works so well with my skin. It creates an aura of sophistication and slight sexiness yet still inviting. It draws you in. If you like lighter patchoulis I would say this is almost surely a safe blind buy. I dont really know about longevity as I just received it but I love this so much I will nit mind reapplying.

Patchouli for me is just ok, but this one is really nice. Its got that burst of plum and pomegranate to start and something green like ivy. The patchouli is not overpowering but very smooth. It’s well blended. Feels very spring but in a lush dark green sort of way. Makes me think of that blue sky behind the black trees in Botticelli's Primavera giving a sort of twilight effect.

Another banger. So far, in my sample kit, I've not been disapointed. This is really good. It's a sweet floral fragrance combined with a good dose of patchouli. Honey is pretty loud on my skin. I must say I do not see the comparisons with Straight To Heaven. On my skin Straight To Heaven is very dry and cedar forward. Perfectly unisex. Performance is very good.

An earthy patchouli that's mildly sweetened and just a hint of florals. I really find this to be a well balanced and refined scent. It sits on my skin beautifully and feels like a scented armor that follows you throughout the day. Longevity is incredible but it doesn't feel overpowering. Really one of my favorite patchouli forward fragrances in the market.

Sexy and sweet along with soke damp soil. The opening starts off with a mix of sweet fruits. Afterward the honey begins to shine and starts to produce a sweeter dry down. Meanwhile a strangely comforting aroma of soil, patchouli and wood are present throughout the whole journey. Strangely fun fragrance that presents pachouli in a more playful way.

This patchouli is gorgeous. Clean. Earthy. Warm. Definitely not a safe blind buy. It warms beautifully on the skin and lasts forever. There’s nothing dirty here. I see myself wearing this one OFTEN. Even if you’re a patchouli hater - get a sample or a decant. It’s so beautiful - it could be the patchouli that does it for you.

THIS is a modern, wearable patchouli. If you are a patch beginner, start here. Fragrance highlights the facets I love about patchouli without it being to damp or too raw. Very woody but the honey adds just a touch of sweetness. The patchouli of my dreams.

The second sexiest patchouli I’ve ever smelled, the first being Patchouli Paris by Guerlain. It is patchouli paired with a mesmerizing sweetness that is as intoxicating as it is heavenly. After sampling it a few times I knew I had to have it.

An affordable Boadicea Fire Sapphire , not as regal but in the dry down and in the air identical, same perfumer and exceptional quality! I own both and now spray elecimus first and just a few sprays if Fire Sapphire on top, perfection !

Damp Earthy patchouli very slight woody floral feel but lasts allday and for me projects like a beast it's a winner

Persephone’s Patchouli is a really well-done patchouli fragrance, even if you already enjoy the note. It opens with a noticeable burst of red berries and a light citrus brightness that gives it a surprisingly fresh and fruity introduction. The notes claim there is pomegrante and pulm, but it reminds me of red berries. The patchouli is already there in the background, but it’s clean and smoothed out—no earthy grit or mustiness. As it moves into the heart, it leans more floral, with soft rose and some creamy floral touches (likely peony or a similar accord). The patchouli becomes more prominent but stays balanced by those florals. It’s not dense or overwhelming—it’s always accompanied by something that softens or lifts it, so it never dominates the composition. The drydown is warm and subtly musky. The patchouli lingers throughout but mellows, supported by soft amber or wood notes. There's some honey sweetness too in there. It stays clean and modern rather than turning dark or resinous. The fragrance feels polished from start to finish. Projection is moderate with a nice, noticeable trail—not loud, but present. Longevity is solid, easily 7–9 hours on skin. It has broad appeal and doesn’t lean too masculine or feminine, which makes it very wearable for just about anyone. Season-wise, it’s best in spring and fall, though it’s versatile enough for most days outside of extreme heat. In short, this is a patchouli done with a lighter hand. It keeps the core character of the note while surrounding it with enough brightness and softness to make it easy to wear, even for people who usually avoid patchouli-heavy scents. I'm surprised how much I like this! This was one of several blind testers I bought on a whim and it's really nice. It's not sweaty 60's patchouli, it's more refined with a sweet earthiness that's not overpowering. The fruits and jasmine hang around for quite a bit and then you're left with a nice warm woodsy skin scent. You can layer any fruity or floral scent to this after a couple hours if it dries too masculine for your taste, I'll sometimes add Fig&Lotus from Jo Malone. I tried it first in the dead of winter and wasn't impressed, but being outside in sunny 70 degree weather for a few hours made a huge difference.

A fruity, unbalanced copy of Straight to Heaven. I’m absolutely convinced that no STH lookalike can smell or perform better than it. Whatever kind of perfume Sidonie Lancesseur has created, it remains unique. I expected Electimuss to be strong, considering the brand’s other unbalanced perfumes, but it's not even stronger than STH Extreme. It has average sillage and above-average longevity performance. The only thing I like about the brand is the bottles. The feel of the bottles is quality and heavy, making it feel expensive to hold. And indeed, it is very expensive.

A fairly green, woody patchouli is immediately front and center. It has an almost oudy sourness on initial spray (perhaps the tart pomegranate) that settles into a fruity, honeyed sweetness after a few minutes. Light florals lend a soft lift and dance with patchouli for the spotlight. Dries down to a fresh cedar skin scent. Moderately soft projection for 2-3hr, longevity 6-8hr. Compared to its sibling, Patchouli of the Underworld, this is significantly more patchouli-heavy although it somewhat fades in and out as the scent dries down.

Fourth fragrance I’ve tried so far from the Electimuss discovery set. For some reason, I didn’t expect Persephone’s Patchouli to smell the way it does. It’s a fresher, mintier patchouli mixed with the fruitiness of the plum and pomegranate. The fruits give it a slight tartness that I like, but it’s saved from being overdone by the honey. My personal taste for patchouli leans more towards darker patch scents, such as Patchouli of the Underworld, which I prefer over this.

As I have said before, I am not a fan of patchouli so I was a bit hesitant to try this fragrance. Surprisingly, patchouli is not overpowering here and I dare to say, it's been used masterfully. The opening is herbaceous, fresh and slightly peppery. The drydown is a treat that develops slowly; honey, rose, amber, sandalwood...very soft with the right amount of sweetness. A warm green caress. 🌱 This fragrance is making me see patchouli with different eyes.

I like patchouli. This doesn't disappoint in structure. The notes are nice. Plum is fleeting. You get a honeyed rose patchouli. Woody and slightly earthy. What disappoints for me is the performance. I wouldn't say its a skin scent but it sits pretty close to the skin on me. I get around 6 hours of use. While nice, I prefer Patchouli of the Underworld over this, from this brand. It may work for you. Worth a sample.

Lovely green opening with a bit of spiciness and leathery accords underneath. Subtle sweetness came from dried fruits. It’s also quite floral, you might not notes them, but they are giving the overall heady impression (which I’m not really enjoying at this point). Honey patchouli bomb. Quality ingredients. I can smell hints of plum and spices. Solid blend. Niche AF. This stuff is skanky. Objectively awesome.

A very polite patchouli with delicate floral support. Gardeners will immediately know this fragrance if they grow their own patch plants. It's light, green, and herbal - all your blooming summer flowers join in, and hang in the morning air. Very reminiscent of Rosendo Mateo fragrances in its blend, quality, and ability to give an uplifting impression. Definitely office safe, and won't leave you smelling like a festival. It's nice, but there's no "wow factor" here. Unfortunately it also doesn't last long on me, but my skin eats fragrances - so take that as you will. Still, for anyone just getting into patchouli fragrances, or want a change of pace from the typical thick, dark, dense patch frags, it's worth getting your nose on.

The first word that came to mind in the very first second was "fruitchouli" because this is a honeyed and fresh-fruity patchouli, and even boozy. And yesss it also has Persephone's pomegranate, quite prominently too. There's a slight floral feel and a very woody base (this woody base is felt more in the drydown). Also a cardamom in the scent that forms almost the entire spice foundation, but it's never overpowering. I don't get along with sweet scents, and even though it wouldn't make me happy for daily wear, it's a really fun thing as a scent experience. It also suits its name perfectly. A take on straight to heaven. To me it leans more feminine, whereas StH is decidedly masculine. I'd say try before you buy, I didn't get great longevity out of it and it wasn't a memorable experience like the other fragrance in the consort collection, patchouli of the underworld.

After about 1 hour, it breaks down and smells identical to Tiziana Terenzi’s - Ursa. This one is a meh, for me.

شروع خوب‌ای داره اما فقط چند دقیقه فضای شاداب و خوشمزه‌ی میوه ای که البته خیلی طبیعی نیست اما قشنگه بعد از دو دقیقه این فضای میوه ای من رو یاد قلیون های میوه ای انداخت و از اون جایی که قلیونی نیستم نفهمیدم چه اسانس و طعمیه ولی انگار ترکیب چند تا قلیون با تنباکو های میوه ایه یه خروار صندل نَرم و تراش خورده در پس زمینه عطر هست که پررنگ تر از پچولی حضور داره پچولی عنصر ضعیف و ناپخته ای هست به نظرم.بیشتر تِم سبز و علفی داره و خبری از اون بوی عمیق و خاکی و باشخصیت پچولی نیست میانه های داستان همه چیز عوض میشه وجوه میوه ای رنگ می‌بازند.صندل هم همین‌طور.اما از اون طرف یک رُز حرمی و زشت وارد داستان میشه که تند و تیزه و خبری از لطافت گل‌برگ و ساقه نیست حس بالزامیک داره و دقیقا یادآور روزهای شلوغ حرم و ترکیب بوی افراد و عطر های حرمی است خلاصه که شروع عطر با هویت نه چندان مستقل ای که داشت رو هم نتونست خوب هدایت کنه و از مسیر خارج میشه و به بی‌راهه میره اگر یه عطر خطی با همون فضای اولیه دقایق ابتدایی‌اش بود،زیباتر و ارزشمند تر بود ************* scent:5/10 longevity:7/10 sillage:6/10 purchase value:1/10 ******* overall:4.7/10

This was the least interesting perfume I've tried from this house so far. The juice seems to just turn into a soapy mess on my skin, where it feels like a basic tropical and fruity scent. It feels cheaper than their other perfumes and doesn't really evolve or go anywhere at all for me. I had also hoped for a big hit of pomegranate, thanks to the name, and a more dark and dirty aspect, but it isn't there. The patchouli is rather clean and it seems more dry and fruity than damp and earthy. The longer I've worn it the more potpourri I feel it's gotten. This is not for me.

The word "patchouli" elicits a negative response from many in the fragrance world, even though it's a base note in so many hugely popular fragrances (Aventus, anyone?). There exist several patchouli-forward fragrances that really knock it out of the park and dress the patchouli up in a very pleasant, even people-pleasing, way. I think of Tom Ford Patchouli Absolu and Vertus Sole Patchouli, two very modern patchouli fragrances that would appeal to non-fragheads. I also think of Coromandel, a fragrance so beautiful that it's impossible for me to sniff without closing my eyes. While I hesitate to list Peresephone's Patchoul in this small list after only a single wear, it's at least not too far removed. Upon spraying my new sample from Electimuss, my first thought is that this is a delicate patchouli: two words I rarely use together. It is fruity and jammy up top, with a lovely, lightly sweet plum note that brings memories of Plum Japonais (though it's admittedly been years since I smelled that). Jasmine can often smell like an ashtray or even a urinal cake, but this is a very clean jasmine, balanced well with a wet rose. The florals are not high-pitched, not "old lady", and very unisex. I find rose to be a note that can easily go wrong. Strong, spicy roses are a turn off for me, but I'm a sucker for a wet, seductive rose. There's just enough peppery spice to round out the top. As I said already, the patchouli is soft and delicate. No semblance of "damp basement" here, just a warm, lightly honeyed patchouli that makes me not want to stop sniffing. I don't get any cardamom specifically, but there is definitely something peppery in the top and mid alongside the plum and honey sweetness, plus an almost beachy freshness that really comes out in the drydown. Ambergris? Don't worry - there's nothing Sauvage or La Nuit here - but I can definitely see this as being a standard youtube fragrance guy's first patchouli, first unisex, and first niche (Aventus not withstanding). Late in the drydown, I can't help but feel like I washed the back of my hand with an expensive luxury soap - and I mean this as a compliment. It's clean despite all the notes that would have you thinking otherwise. This is a fragrance I (37M) would absolutely wear and would love to smell on a woman. Truly unisex. Truly beautiful. As with all fragrances, try wafting or sniffing from a few inches away to really get the full effect of this beauty. Stunning

A patchouli fragrance so familiar, yet unlike any other. Within this beautiful work of art, you find a camphoric, green patchouli — the kind found in Straight to Heaven, Ursa, Patchouli Ardent, and many others — with a fruity, fresh nuance of juicy pomegranate. The patchouli is extremely green, fresh, and airy, not at all earthy or chocolaty. The scent is supported by beautiful fresh jasmine and plum. The base has some honey, which adds to the sweetness, and a slight sandalwood nuance that provides some relief from the warmth. The scent in itself is beautifully blended. It reminds me of a walk in the sun, surrounded by patchouli plants, biting into a juicy plum, surrounded by flowers, while a single pomegranate tree ripens its fruits. It’s refreshing to come across a patchouli blended in a manner where it doesn’t just feel heavy and warm and can be pulled off during summer — even though it is ideally best for spring, monsoon, or winter days. Persephone, daughter of the goddess Demeter, a girl of enchanting beauty, was raptured by Hades, god of the underworld, who had fallen madly in love with her. Her mother, goddess of crops, desperate and searching for her daughter, refused to let any form of nature grow on earth, bringing famine and dryness. Because Hades would not let her go, a compromise was reached: for one half of the year Persephone would live in the underworld, for the other half on earth. Thus were born the seasons : autumn and winter during times of distance from her mother, spring and summer during times of togetherness. Persephone is divided between two worlds : the world above ground and the world below ground, represented by the olfactory notes of this perfume : a floral and fruity side alternating with the earthiness and depth of patchouli. The result is a Patchouli that has been interpreted in an extraordinarily elegant and fresh way, losing its most incisive nuances to become something unique. I really liked it. This is so good. I'm actually pretty surprised how much I really love it. I blind bought a bottle of Trajan which is very good but this is better. It's both light and dark, it's dirty and clean, it's so well balanced and definitely a traditionally feminine scent imo. The top is plummy and fluffy with some clean florals. I also get the mildly tart/crisp pomegranate that is so different. In the dry down the Patchouli is giving the slightest bit of "dirty dampness" but it's needed here and not only grounds the fragrance but makes it sexy along with the woods. It's ever so slightly salty and very sweet. I can't say enough good things in fact if someone offered to trade my Trajan for this I would 100% and I love that bottle. Damn. Edit: Hours and hours later every once in a while I'm getting hints of vintage Polo for men. You know the green one my step father used to wear. HOW? That's so odd and unexpected. Most unwelcome as well but let me get some other opinions about the indirect silage and wear it a bit more. I'll come back lol.

This is nothing like Straight to Heaven, you just find the rotten earth aspect. This is an explosion of honey and plum, really fruity and earthy in the same time. The honey at the beginning smells like the naxos one for the first seconds, then it transforms into the smell of jelly belly beans, I don't know why. This is a weird fragrance, I personnaly like it but not that much, but one of my friends appreciates it a lot and says that it contains pheromones lol. I sell a full bottle on my Vinted (nobody321) --> 140 euros (it costs 290 euros new bottle)

A pleasant perfume, but the staying power and projection is seriously lacking. I used up my sample in half a day, kind of has the lineage of Rhodanthe of the same house, just less concentrated. Safe blind buy, unisex in my opinion, nice but will not turn heads as it lacks character in my opinion.

Initially this one smells warm and fruity it comes across as comforting and sweet. However, after a 2.5 hour dry down it smells too much like Electimuss' Patchouli of the Underworld with a slight dentist office cleanser oder just with added sweetness.

Akigalawood, plum, apple candy, incense and jammy rose. Seductive, slightly addictive candy-earthy type of scent. Reminds me of ELDO's Un Amourette. Unisex.

I get a lot of jasmine and patchouli , jasmine has worked well with the patchouli in this scent and is the dna of the scent .. its a buy worthy
