Le Parfum Edition Feuilles d'Or

Very interesting perfume, non-existing in the nature, something completely new, strange. Fruity-floral, not easy to describe. Orange blossom (intensive) + pear + greengage plum + green / red grapes + cherry/lily note (=ylang-ylang) + sandalwood + something slightly sweet (vanilla pudding?). Something like mix of Paradiso Azzurro Cavalli (fruitiness), My Scent Trusardi (cherry/pudding note) and maybe Honour Woman Amouage (waxy white flowers). This to me is the more intense version of Elie Saab Le parfum. I think I even love this one more than the original Le parfum! And since Ylang Ylang is one pf my most favorite notes, this is definitely a big blind buy HIT!

I've had this for months ( blind buy) but have waited, impatiently, for the weather to cool, before trying this offering. Being from my favourite perfume house, I had to have it! This interpretation of Elie Saab Le Parfum is all about the resinous woods and patchouli. The orange blossom and musk are there but on me there is little if any honey, ylang, rose. Maybe I shouldn't have waited so long for the first spray? The heat may have brought the sweeter elements forward? Being so well aquatinted with the original, I wouldn't have picked it out as a flanker. This is, at least to my nose, a cousin, very different. This is deep and dark, thanks to the addition of smokey Amberwood, while the original is luminous and sparkling. IMO this is a unisex version of OES. I can easily see this working really well my other half. This is the first ES that is, at least for now, a strong like rather than love. I'm not disappointed with it though, it's lovely in its own right, just not as much of the original as I'd expected. I need to spend more time with it. Layer it with original body lotion, maybe even a vanilla lotion and definitely get my OH to wear it too.

I smelled this and the original Le parfum and they ARE NOT the same! 🙂 problem solved for those asking. Of course they have the same DNA but this one is deeper and woodier. More like the night sister of the original.

Just tried it and it’s actually quite similar to the essence Neroli fragrance they have, not surprised to see Kurkdjian as the nose behind it
