5th Avenue NYC Live

5th is and will be my signature I have loved it since it appeared and I wore it even in 1997 when the halls of the European feminist lodge smelled like it so powerful that you could swear they washed the floor with it and without water, and that's because all the ladies in the lodge wore it, even Helene Rochas wear it then, and who knows about her understand how that sound... I have always considered this an elegant floral fragrance but which has a monster behind it ready to eat your head, like in the Spiderman movie with tha black creature. It is an excellent feminist perfume, but it is not trivial or predictable. But as much as I loved and love this perfume, the flankers disappoint me as much too, I tried everything, hoping to find variations...noo A.G put a curse on it I guessed, I had hopes for Royal but again disappointed till this one...this one is the chypre 5th avenue, in this the monster is more obvious and more agile, it can be seen but it does not come to the surface as it happens from time to time in the original, is a cold and spicy floral, but which does not have those moments of transition between inviting floral notes and spicy cold boom. But still hmmm I like, is the more 5th club version.... club children like the olds club equitation, or shooting range, tea, liqueur, gossip about indolent men from the careers environmen, and of course discussions about how we will reduce men's masculinity and how we will annihilate the world😂 joke conspiracy theorists just a joke , relax. Anyway my young future feminists terrorists ladies😂, oh how I love to play with their little minds, is a very good 5th flanker, the only one who deserves this title.

Vinals, states that the fragrance “captures the unique energy and excitement of New York City as well as its elegant allure and sophistication.” I quote his words because they beautifully and accurately reflect the essence of 5th Avenue NYC Live. The fruity, juicy, delightfully sweet opening is the quintessence of joyful carefreeness. Set against charming florals and a creamy, smooth base, it creates a blend that feels refined while delivering a generous dose of pleasure. It is both sensually feminine and girlishly carefree at the same time. On fabric, it lasts all day with an intimate sillage. And like every flanker in this line, it tells its own distinct story—one well worth discovering. And the shiny bottle is alluring.

I love this perfume very much, which surprises me, because all the Elizabeth Ardens that I tried before never impressed me. On my skin, I get mostly oranges and I think a little jasmine, but the scent does not develop too much. It remains a nice springy fragrance, which smells up until 4 hours, I think. I see myself wearing this a lot this spring, but it's nothing groundbreaking or particularly noticeable. It's a scent you wear for your own enjoyment, don't expect for anyone else to notice it.

NYC Live was a successful blind buy for me. I really like it in all seasons! Based on the "This Perfume Reminds Me Of" I bought it expecting it to be a dupe for NR or Lovely, but it totally is not! To me it is musky fruity and slightly bitter from the Marigold (I love that!). It reminds me of Versace Bright Crystal, but so much better. Bright Crystal makes me feel nauseated, and I get really sick of that smell quickly. I could happily smell NYC Live all day! Also, this has brought me a few compliments from coworkers...I love that! UPDATE: OK, I can now see the resemblance between NYC LIVE and SJP Lovely. They both have the same base. NYC LIVE is a tart and fruity (acai berry) version of SJP Lovely. I think between the two I’m preferring SJP Lovely.

I've came across this one in an airport, at first I didn't cared for it much, by the time I was boarding, I fell in love. All I remember from the smell is a refreshing and comforting sent, definitely citrus, but not sharp, reminded me a deep coloured blackberry tea in spring air. Unfortunately I didn't get the chance yet to test it properly...
