Green Tea Cucumber

This one is absolutely delicious and fresh. It boosts my mood immediately. Once you apply you feel a wave of alcohol but it disappears quiet fast leaving a sweet bitter-fresh-aquatic taste of cucumbers from the late summer harvest. These are the type of cucumbers that laid on the ground in a garden lazily below the sun for a couple of days, waiting to be picked up and added to a salad right away. You wash it dawn with a cup of green ice tea with a drop of lemon juice and a slice of watermelon as a dessert. I have another “fig green tea” in my collection but that one is more green-aromatic and suits cold spring days better. The “cucumber” one is a late summer packed in a glass bottle. This fresh and prominent cucumber reminds me the one that was used in “DKNY be delicious” before it was reformulated. It adds a delicious aquatic note to the picture. The longevity is week and the intensity is moderate in my opinion. But well, for that price it’s still very acceptable. If you like citrusy aquatic freshness - this is a must have for you for the summer and as a mood booster.

Long day at the beach? Perhaps the pool, or lake? Or maybe it’s just summer and that’s your vibe? After a refreshing evening shower and dousing myself in this (a liberal 8-10 sprays), especially with a thick coat of whatever moisturizer I’m rehydrating my skin with, I get at least 4 hours of fresh cucumber delight. Some watermelon, maybe a little violet, not much tea (good for me!). I love the Rosa Verde comparison but disagree with the shaming of this scent and by implication, those who enjoy it. When I’m not reaching for one of my more perfume-y summer staples, I am surprised by how lovely this is as an evening summer scent.

Turns out you can buy happiness and it’s only $10 a bottle. Bought this on a whim after coming across the review on this site as I’d loved Green Tea when it first came out ages ago. Didn’t love the first few seconds as there’s a bit of a harsh, sour note, but then it’s just a wonderfully refreshing cucumber - aquatic scent perfect for those unbearably hot days of summer. I wear it around the house and after a shower or a bath before bedtime. Sure, it doesn’t have much staying power, and it’s definitely more of a body spray, but it’s $10. And it’s delightful.

I adore this scent, and wish that it lasted longer. It's very affordable, though, so reapplication is never really an issue. It's wonderfully fresh, watery, and I find it to be much more refined and likeable than most cucumber scents. I love the initial ozonic qualities, and the green tea comes through incredibly well on my skin. It's also a great option for layering with other similar fragrances due to the relative simplicity of it. I actually use this most often to freshen up my walk-in closet, it's clean and refreshing without being soapy at all.

Ugly bottle, poor performance, but it's cheap enough that those things don't matter to much. This is my favorite green tea scent so far and it's now one of my favorite sweet freshies. If you like Acqua do gio or Giorgio blue you may like this one. The tea scent is almost non existent to me (yay!) with citrus being the strongest scent to my nose. The citrus does back off very quickly and you are then left with a lovely fresh watery sweet floral.

This is such a lovely scent. A fresh burst of cucumbers in the opening, then a pleasant, sort of a warm dry down. You can still smell the cucumbers, the green tea, but there is this warmth to it that is absolutely delightful. The only issue is, that it indeed has the longevity of a body mist. I would say 2 hours. So if you do not mind carrying it around with you and reapplying, this really is a lovely scent.

Oooo! loving this.. Just arrived in the post this morning..Green tea is a bit of a "thing" for me at the moment, Eau De Gaga, Jennifer Lopez Still and now this!! Is so fresh and light and sparkling and perfect for warm weather..reminds me a bit of a cucumber toner that Boots used to make years ago. I think I'll be wearing this a lot over the next few months..

Very clean and fresh green citrus scent. No sweetness, no florals. I find the cucumber note to be noticeable, but subtle. Completely unisex in my opinion. Very poor staying power, but refreshing when applied. Perfect for hot, humid weather. I don't mind the poor staying power because it's so inexpensive that I can use it liberally.

Quite simply the perfect summer scent. Like splashing scented water on your face. So fresh, slightly sweet, delicious, clean, pure. I have a lot of the Green Tea flankers, and this is my favourite of the lot.

I could bathe in this stuff! Love it so much during summer. It's an instant pick up up treat. Feels so fresh and clean with a touch of sweetness. So addictive to wear and a must have during the warmer months!

I am on a luxury cruiser, salty wind in my face and an icey cold gin and tonic (with cucumbers) in hand. In other words: I love it. How it only cost me $15 au is incomprehensible.

Oh, this is sadly not at all what I was looking for. I've had very good luck with the two Green Tea perfumes in this line that I've owned -- the original and the Nectarine Blossom flanker. Both smell like drugstore fragrances, but carry it with an aura of grace I really respect, and each in its own way. The original Green Tea is timelessly of its time -- it carries a similar fame and iconography to that of CK One without typecasting you into coming off like you're 'Going For A Nineties Look' when worn, and yet its ability to blend in with more traditional department store fragrances allows it to feel truly casual and under the radar -- Green Tea isn't wearing the tomboy outfit out of teenage rebellion or to make some statement, but is rather using the tomboy outfit to accent her womanly figure. And then Nectarine Blossom was so nice too -- sweet and peachy, but not in a candy-gourmand way nor a 2000s citrus-sweet way, but in a powdery, slightly musky Arizona iced tea way. Like the original, the composition is full-bodied and well-blended but simple and straightforward enough not to overwhelm what should be a simple body mist scent with the "perfume"-y scent of too many florals. And then there was this disappointment -- which all I really wanted from it was something like the original with some watery notes and cucumber, and how far off it turned out to be -- I was fine with some "elevator full of ten fragrances" smell because this is after all, a cheapie Elizabeth Arden scent, and there's something liberating about how casual and straightforward that makes an outfit, but what I didn't expect was to be assaulted with this generic and overwhelmingly floral-heavy scent, neither citrusy or ozonic or masculine. I agree with a previous reviewer that this smells like Clinique Happy Heart, and I don't like Happy Heart for the same reason. It smells soapy and like the mall, with an artificial citrus that doesn't smell refreshing but more like citrus-scented shampoo or face-cream. Yeah, it smells clean, but not my kind of clean. It's high maintenance. Too much going on. Perhaps when other reviewers meant that "freshly clean smell" they just meant the smell of V05 shampoo and Pond's face cream.

Ok, take two with a very different review. My taste must have changed quite a bit since the year since I sampled it last, because now I've went from finding it busy and not having enough cucumber to finding it transparent and refreshing with a very prominent cucumber note. I think the fact that the first time I sampled it was in a very humid and stuffy bedroom with no air conditioning has something to do with it. I absolutely love it now. The watermelon here isn't sweet, just zesty and a bit citrusy, and the cucumber is so refreshingly potent and refreshing, with the citruses at a minimum to let the juicy and melony aquatic notes shine. The green tea here is still present and front and center as is the case for most of the flankers. The violet here is reminiscent of Green Tea Fig, but this is less sweet and more ozonic and aquatic than fig, in a way that I find to be a lot more unisex and refreshing for hot weather. That's exactly what I want from a Green Tea flanker! It's light, it's airy, it's effortless, it's definitely a lot more linear than the original and doesn't last as long, but I'll forgive it for being exactly what it promises on the bottle. I'm glad I gave this one another shot because it just needed a less uncomfortably damp and humid living situation to shine. Lasts about 2 hours, which is shorter than the original. ★★★★☆

Kinda bummed this smells almost identical to Clinque Happy Heart on me. While I enjoy HH I already own it. I really don't smell any green tea in this. It's light, citrus floral and major cucumber notes. I can see how some may not like the cucumber, it's kind of on the same lines of seaweed. However, this composition is very fresh and great for the heat. I don't feel weighed down, it's just not a spa scent for me and I did BB in hopes it would be. I'll surely wear it though. I'm having fun collecting this line. Update ~ wearing side by side I do prefer Green Tea Cucumber over Happy Heart. The drydown in HH has that department store scent trail that I need to be in the mood for. GTC stays fresh and pleasant and I like it better on my skin chemistry more, despite it not projecting as much as HH.

I'm going to be honest: I don't really use the Green Tea perfumes as perfumes per se, but I see them more like body mists and room fresheners. They are incredibly uplifting and every time I spray any of them in a room people think I freshly cleaned my room. It's brilliant for that. The cucumber version is a little faint, I must admit that it took me a lot of concentration and sniffing to notice the cucumber, but the Green Tea DNA is definitely there and this perfume/mist/fancy room freshener is brilliant. I feel so refreshed using it. Is it a proper perfume per se? No! Is it fantastic for a good fresh up of your clothes, your mind, your room? Yes!

Great Green Tea flanker. Like the rest it has body spray longevity and sillage, but the price point makes it affordable to respray. The cucumber note is a little artificial but completely recognizable, front and center above the classic Green Tea base. I get a little bit of citrus when it's drying down, but the cucumber and green tea stay dominant for me. I love this for summer and for a cooling refresh after a workout. It's also nice after a shower to keep that fresh feeling longer. This and the bamboo one are probably my favorite Green Tea flankers because they add the extra element without losing the green tea note.

Not going to lie, this smells just like a lemon scented hand sanitizer on the first spritz. Fresh and clean. It definitely doesn't stay as strong and kind of reminds me of some old sunblock I used to use (possibly Coppertone?) on the drydown. Not sure but something reminds me of swimming in my grandparents pool on a hot day as a kid. So it's a lovely scent to me for that reason. Overall, it's a very pleasant smell and I like it very much. Would be great for a "freshening up" scent after the gym or on a hot day.

An impeccably clean and bright fragrance, perfectly suited for high heat. It opens with an invigorating blend of citrus and watermelon, evolving into a crisp 'out of the shower' freshness that avoids heavy florals or soapiness. It is a soft, inoffensive, and distinctly unisex choice. The lasting power is weak, functioning more like a luxury mist, but its attractive price point makes it an excellent, low-risk blind buy for lovers of airy, clean scents A+

This is a nice, no-nonsense summer fragrance for wearing around the house or out on errands (for next summer, I guess.) It has the EA Green Tea DNA that I've known and loved since I was a teenager, with some wet, juicy, just-cut cucumbers. It is not very long-lasting, but it does manage to stick around for a few hours before fading away. It is affordable, and it will transport you someplace cool, calm, and maybe a little bit dewy for a while.

Another lovely flanker from the Green Tea range, this one has a sweet and soapy vibe, with hints of cucumber and a more prominent sweet citrus note. Very nice for warm, sunny days, a nice fragrance to take along to the beach. The original DNA is definitely there, but this one is definitely sweeter, and perhaps not as wearable for some. I've never smelled anything quite like it, it does stand out.
