Green Tea Summer

I love the green tea perfumes so much. I have many of them. I don't wear them as perfumes per se, but more like body mists. They don't really have a perfume-y feel and strength to them but rather a freshly washed clothes feel to them. Which is brilliant if you don't want to smell perfume-y, but rather freshly washed and super clean. Green Tea Summer is one of my favourite flankers. The fruity notes are not sweet at all. They don't screech, they don't overpower, they just add a little something to the green tea dna. You can smell the watermelon and citrus fruits, but not in a heavy toilet cleaner way. It's just a little, light fresh add on to the green tea base. Very beautiful. It's perfect for summer and spring.

Gosh this is so nice. I love how light and clean this is. I love clean fragrances, they go well with my body chemistry. Plus this is great in the summer. I can spray as much as I want and it's not overwhelming at all. This is great because I live in the south and we experience hot and humid summers and mild winters. I also put this on after a hot shower. I love smelling this on my pajamas. Just light green tea lulling me into sleep.

What a lovely, citrusy surprise. I never expect much from this line of fragrances and yet am often greatly pleased with many of them. The price is so reasonable and the scent lasts hours. It is not overpowering but definitely noticeable for a long while. I will spray this one often in the coming months. Summer, indeed.

A zesty, rich, green cirtus/floral. One of the best of the Green Tea range as has great longevity, spray her on and she sticks around. Very uplifting and fresh with great energy. Very pleased I decided to try this. I have sense of liveliness and well being when wearing. Great!

I loved this perfumed from the first sniff. It's very fresh and really summery scent. It's very fruity and citrousy. Too bad it's very hard to find, but it's worth it. This is one of my favorites.

I’m getting “Arnold Palmer” from this ( the drink, not the person). The lemon comes through immediately and sticks around for a while. This flanker and Tropical are very similar. So similar, in fact, I decided to do a side-by-side comparison over a day of wear. The initial burst from both of them is identical: sharp citrus. A few minutes later the citrus is still the most prominent note of Summer, but Tropical moves to tropical fruit notes. On paper, Summer stays very lemony and green, like an actual lemon tree. Tropical is sweeter than Summer on paper. On skin, they are both very fruity and stay fruity well into the dry down. I can smell the watermelon (plus the persistent lemon) in Summer, and a whole fruit salad in Tropical. I prefer the dry down of Tropical, because it’s softer. They both have identical performances. In short, Summer is citrusy and green (in a fresh and pleasant way) and Tropical is sweet and fruity. However, I don’t think there’s much point in owning both. You have to do a very close comparison in order to detect their differences. If you’re into citrus, go for Summer. If you’re into juicy fruits, pick Tropical.

In the bottle this perfume smells like a dream; lovely, sunny dream. On my skin at first it smelled like a freshly mown grass, which was wonderful since I've been looking for a scent like this. During the dry down however I detected sharper notes, with something synthetic, artificial in it. Still very interesting though. It's been just a couple of hours, on a very hot day at that, so I can't say I have this fragrance all figured out. It's green, it's fresh, it's a bit sweet but not overly so. It made me think of the first day of school after the summer :) The memory of a fresh hay, still warm from lying in the sun, but with more official, clean and crisp feeling to it, like a white collar, freshly washed. And at the end I could swear I can smell a cucumber. Enough said: I can't stop sniffing my wrist :) I need to test this fragrance some more, but for now- I like it.

Orange, lily, rose, and a little watermelon is what the first whiff gives off. I wouldn’t classify this as unisex, if anyone was curious. Quite feminine, but I still will wear it since it’s so nice. A very pretty scent. Light weight, airy, and definitely summer. Fresh, but not soapy. Citrusy and rosy. A little ‘cucumber melon’ vibes but with more florals. Short lived as others have mentioned, but it’s so cheap that it’s definitely worth getting and just keeping atomizer of this to respray every few hours. Or, wear this in the morning, wear something else light during the mid day, and then something more romantic at night. Seems like upside a lot of the times when we have so many options to use.

I actually meant to buy Tropical, and made a mistake, but I'm glad I bought Summer as it gives me a huge nostalgia hit of when I was a child and lived in the tropical monsoon region of Australia. It takes me back to monsoon afternoons after a storm rolled through every day, and the temperature cools down. I'm by the poolside, I can smell the rain and the plants and the flowers and my mum has given me and my siblings watermelon to snack on. Office safe scent, so I'll be wearing this on those peak summer days when it's so hot and humid that I can't wear my usual sweeter scents, and need to turn to something aquatic and fresh, but not too sharp, citrus or green.- this is still fruity enough.

Okay now this is just so gorgeous??!! Out of all the smells I have in my collection, I think this one has grown on me the most drastically. When I bought it I thought "that's nice! bit soapy but good!" And now, having just sprayed it after shaving my face, I am being enveloped in what I can only describe as the most delectably refreshing cascade of green citrus and Davidoff Cool Water for Men-esque dry spices. It feels simultaneously brave, glittering, and comforting, cozy and clean. It is gorgeously blended in a way I've only seen accomplished by some of my favourite designer perfume houses. And for 7 quid??! Adore this so much.

She’s cheap and she’s cheerful and when I’m running errands in 31 degree temps and 90% humidity, as I am at the moment, I literally drench myself in her, I don’t want the fuss of wondering if some of my more complex frags Will flash bomb other humans into nose blindness or nausea with their projection in the heat. She’s refreshing, she’s green and lightly herbal and she’s uplifting and for such a simple light frag she does get the odd compliment, I remember her and her flankers being very popular in offices across the land in the 90’s, yet to me she’s not vintage... she simply timeless!

Another Green Tea flanker bargain. 100ml for £10 in one of the UK Bargain stores (Boyes in York). I got the Lavender flanker when I was in York last year, didn't have that one this time so I got this. It's very similar to the OG to my nose, a little greener and sharper is all. I love this line for those hot summer days and they are cheap enough to spritz away with abandon!!

This scent to me is pure nostalgia, even though I didn't wear it back then. It reminds me of summers when I was a kid, red brick houses and water fights on hot cement and iced tea. I think it has a similar aquatic/ozonic vibe to Davidoff Cool Water but with a touch less lemon and a touch more sweet iced tea. Juicy, fresh and sweet with the grounding tea.

Fresh, citrusy, clean and a bit green. I mostly get lemon, bergamot and watermelon. Also has a slightly aquatic quality but smells more “posh spa” than beachy. Smells refreshing; definitely for daytime. Longevity and sillage are not massive but better than I expected, I’d say I get a decent 3-4 hours.

Similar to "Green Tea Tropical" but where is that is a bit of a one-trick pony with the litchi note (which I like) this one has many more fruits in the mix...in fact, the flanker is very heavy on the fruit which is the way I tend to like this series...great summer perfume...

Green tea is authentic and nonsynthetic, but a little too green and not enough tea for me. Citruses add another dimension but also point out the green too much. It's good but not my style. A great summer pick that is not sweet at all.

This has become my gym scent. It's a much zestier version of original Green Tea🌱🍵🍋, uplifting and refreshing, works really well in warm and humid weather.

This refreshing and zingy spritz smells like a lemony jug of sweet iced tea on a hot summers day. I think the hint of amber and rose add the very mild sweetness which blooms once the perfume settles into the skin. But this is undoubtedly a citrusy fragrance - lemon and bergamot steal the show, the tea scent right after and following that the aquatic note. You would wear this to a summer market, or to play or spectate a sport in the sun. You could wear this on a run and to the office on a warm spring day. It’s bright and a very happy light fragrance. I also recommend layering a mild vanilla fragrance under it, just subtly - to create an inviting hot summer night scent. The citrus, floral and the subtle vanilla note create something very inviting whilst still smelling clean. The fragrance alone will make you feel a bit more perky on a hot day and make you feel absolutely alive on a warmer spring day too! Two to three sprays is all you will need and it will last you around 1-2 hours as it’s an EDT, but I could say that’s all you would want on a day like that.

Lemonade and iced tea with a bit of a tropical feel. Starts out very heavy on the lemon and then mellows out to a more creamy and fruity tropical lemonade scent with tangerine, watermelon and passionfruit. Not too sweet and not too fruity, just a nice fresh aromatic citrus with a touch of tropical fruits and a bit of sweet musk for the lemon to become more feminine. The green tea note is still there, just like in the original, but there's no woods or jasmine, or any white florals at all here, making it less of an 'aromatic' and more of your middle-of-the-road freshie citrus. It's pleasant but other Green Tea flankers do this angle better and have more originality to them, like Green Tea Nectarine Blossom, Green Tea Mimosa and Green Tea Honeysuckle. Longevity is poor even for Green Tea flanker standards, I don't get more than an hour or two out of it. ★★☆☆☆

I don't get any fruity floral with this at all on my skin. On my skin this is a bitter oakmoss green tea (funny that there is no green tea in this scent and yet that's all I can smell) aromatic scent. After a short while I can just smell a slight citrus smell that is still overpowered by the aromatic oakmoss. On paper this does smell fruitier with a slight sweet floral, but my skins not paper so I don't get any of that. It's last a decent amount of time for what it is and actually has excellent lasting power on clothes. It's not a favorite of mine but it is fresh enough to be worn easily in office conditions etc.

I adore the original and started wearing it again after many years without it. When I sprayed it I wondered why i stopped wearing it, then I got a bottle of EA GT summer and bam! This one put me off green tea! I had forgotten that this one makes me feel a bit queezy and I had to come and check the notes to work out why. It’s the combination of green tea and rose that i really don’t like, and I can really smell the rose here! I suspect I only like super sweet boiled sweets rose scents rather than fresh green citrusy rose. Just not for me! GT original and pomegranate are the only ones I can wear it seems!

I can't say how this will react on others, but it starts out sharp on me and dries down with a very green soapy smell (Irish Spring or Zest or something like that). I'm not sure why it smells like that on me... I guess it is just what my skin "grabs." Very clean & inoffensive, but not my 'cup of tea.'

To me this one smells just like lemon kitchen cleanser or some kind of strong detergent. The only good point, it's the fact that it lasted quite long on me, at least on that particular day. Sorry, too sharp to be a summer version of something that it suppose to be fresh or subtle.

I bought this together with the tropical version. The scent is too strong very much the same as the original version. For summer i like to wear the green tea tropical version rather than this one. will give this away and keep the tropical one.

based on trying a tester - everything about this should have been up my alley, but it was not. Weirdly disharmonious/curdling notes. May be a skin chemistry thing, as what the enthusiasts are describing is really not what I smell.

It's a big no. I rly tried to make it work but the original green tea is way better. The Lemon is way too sharp, not rly refined, not smooth jut a punch of lemon and just lemon.... its not even soapy on my skin, just very harsh

I really like the original Arden Green Tea fragrance, but this just stank. Maybe I had a duff bottle? Honestly, it was almost like urine! Really harsh and sharp smelling. I don't understand.

If you like a grapefruit scent, try this one. This combination of notes is straight up grapefruit all the way through. Good sillage and duration.

Usually, when I am wearing a perfume, I don’t care if it is a summer or a winter scent. I just want to smell good and give positive vibes to the people around me. Unfortunately, with “Elisabeth Arden Green Tea Summer”, I can’t manage to do so. Actually, it was an extremely good bargain through Amazon and, out of curiosity, I decided to test it. I would describe it as a nice summer perfume & scent, but on me it lasts only for like 5 to 10 minutes. While spraying myself with it, and the house, when I am out of the door, it has... gone with the wind! Even though I bought it last summer, whether wearing it during summer or winter times, it has exactly the same effect. It doesn’t last! After trying it for about 2 months now, I honestly got bored of it. I like teas, but unfortunately it seems green teas don’t like me. I guess that if I wanted a perfume to remind me of summer, I would rather prefer wearing “Escale a Pondicherry” or “Blue Seduction”, as they actually make me feel on my face the summer breeze, its salty air and its warm sunshine. To me, “Elisabeth Arden Green Tea Summer” is just plain boring and doesn’t offer any nice thoughts of the summer. I hope that by the end of the month, its bottle will have ended. No more green tea perfumes for me!

The Green Tea line by Elizabeth Arden has been a favorite of mine since it started back in 1999. Green Tea Summer stands apart from the rest of the flock in its complexity. You can smell several notes in addition to the trademark grassy green citrus tea note. In this case, there is fruit. First orange and lemon, and later watermelon and blackcurrant are recognizable. Blackcurrant gives a sharpness (as if Green Tea scents are not already sharp) but also a dryness. It's cooling. The watermelon and tea are the last notes standing. Sometimes I think there is noticeable amber in this at the end as well. For an EA Green Tea scent, this is complex. One of the best EA GT's. NOTE: EA Green Teas work SO much better if you store them in the refrigerator. The notes stand out clearly. Plus it feels so refreshing to spray on cold eau de toilette. I started doing this just for the refreshment but soon realized the scent and performance were enhanced significantly, so I am passing this along to all EA GT fans out there. Makes a huge difference. Stay cool!

A very nice take on the Francis Kurkdjian og by two very skillful Givaudan perfumers. And off course there had to be some competition. Well, it's difficult to point out a winner because this one is very well made. The ultra fresh citrus opening that reminds me a little bit of L'Eau D'Issey, is pleasant and not sharp. Perfect for warmer days. Than the fruity smell takes over with the freshness still working. This is the work of very skilled perfumers who know how to work with aroma chemicals like citronellal, calone, aldehydes and linnalols. The performance is rather good for such a fresh citrus, fruit and flower summer juice. Don't expect enormous projection and longevity but spray like a shower during the day. I know some feminine fresh Chanels, that I love, that costs tenfold and perform maybe a tat better. Very satisfactory affordable buy for this summer ⛱️.

Fragrance -Green Tea Summer Elizabeth Arden Bottle from - 2016 He's got that exotic and a bit wild vibe going on. This is a story about a floral,citrusy and fruity tangerine laying on top of a musky,mossy and slightly ambery black tea. Longevity - 4/10(4+ hours) Silage/Projection - 4/10(soft to moderate projection for the first 1 hour,than sits closer to skin for the duration of the scent's evolution) Weather -Best in spring and summer Age - 23+ Compliments - 6/10 Scent - 6/10 Main notes according to me - tangerine,black tea,water lily,melon,cyclamen,bergamot. The drydown is musky,mossy and slightly ambery and I get some -musk,amber and black tea. Emotions -exotic yet wild,tropical,summer nights. Occasion -Occasion -perfect for summer nights. Try before you buy.

I had the original Green Tea and didn't care for it at all. Contrary to what other reviewers said, I actually think that the original was sharper and that this Summer version is more soft around the edges. It reminds me a little of an Arnold Palmer(1/2 iced black tea, 1/2 Lemonade)...one of my favorite summer drinks! I was surprised to see all the listed notes as it smells fairly linear and simple.....and no tea note??? It's called Green Tea. Anyway....if you can find it discounted, it might be a nice one to try but don't expect to have your mind blown or anything. I think this would be a good one to leave in the car or throw in your bag incase you need a little sprucing. Reminds me of a hybrid of Gap's, The Natural and Clean by Clean.

This one to me is one of the funnest flankers of this scent. It's fruity, it's fun and its a little bit naughty even though it keeps its innocence well shown. Kinda like me. I've only had this for 10 hours but boy has it made a lasting impact. Already I've worked out when I'll wear it, how I'll layer it and what body products I'll use to enhance it. Does it smell like green tea? Yes. Is it overwhelming the other notes? No, nope and nein. It's fruitiness is the main player here. Like Tropical, some very juicy and commonly used ingredients are used here. The watermelon is so prominent it's almost like eating one. Can't really say more about this other than 'I love it' Pure and simple. Stand out fragrance from the line.

I once despised the first direct sniff from bottle since it smelled warmly weird, probably the ‘secret’ solar notes. On the contrary, the first spray was heaven, just like savoring sherbet lemon mixed with exotic fruits. Exhilarated, I was following that fruity pathway and found myself dreaming of lying in seashore with a glass of pina colada, sheltered by big colorful umbrella and Oakley shades. And, the loathed solar notes? Ah, it is a prove that I was tanned, sun-kissed, licked by gust of ocean air so hard the tang leave its trail on my skin.

I kind of regret buying this now. It's not nearly as nice as I thought I'd remembered it was when I sniffed it at the mall and Green Tea Bamboo and Green Tea Lotus and even Tropical are all SO much nicer. Green Tea Bamboo and Green Tea Lotus are beautiful and amazing. Summer is just eh... It smells like nothing but alchohol for a while and really stings your face if you spray it on your face. Then it fades into a meh. Vaugely fresh and a bit like mowed grass. Not amazing and beautiful like Bamboo and Lotus. I might give it to my dad's wife.

I own a majority of the Green Tea flankers, and I must say, Green Tea Summer is my favorite. It's hard to describe, and I think the notes hit everyone's nose differently. When I first sprayed this my first thought was... Lemonade and Iced Tea with a zesty kick. Sounds weird I know, but the Lemon hits you right away, and the passion fruit walks right in a few minutes later. I love using Green Tea Summer after a hot bath...so refreshing. This truly is a perfect summer fragrance for those that like fruity/floral scents.

This fragrance is incredible. It’s perfectly light and airy, but grassy and sweet. It makes me want to sit in a meadow and read beneath the trees. This is exactly what i was looking for from Elizabeth Arden. It reminds me a bit of the original green tea but it’s fresher with a distinctly sweet note when you inhale deep, and there’s an almost minty quality to its greenness, like sweet tea with mint. The watermelon really shines. I would call this a safe blind buy.

I can't pick any specific note on this fragrance, it just smells like green tea to me, even through there is no tea in the notes. it is a nice perfume, but it was already done thousand times before. the quality is good, there are many perfumes that are exactly like this, but much more expensive. so if you like this kind of fragrance,this one is a good choice. cheap,good sillage and decent longevity. just don't expect to be surprised.

I'm one of the rare people who finds something really unpleasant in this fragrance. I'm normally a fan of the range and I have 6 others that are great but this one reacts so badly on my skin. I get an immediate strong, dark, bitter almost cumin smell that is really repellent. Maybe there was a duff batch but I've tried it a few times and I always get this weird overpowering note. Nothing in the notes explains this - it's a mystery.

I don't find it as "green tea" as the original nor "fruity" as Tropical nor "floral aquatic" as any other versions. To me, Green Tea Summer is very freshly leafy green! At some point, it gets kinda grassy. It feels very citrusy and hydrating too. For the rest, it stays true to the Green Tea collection; refreshing and clean. Not overly floral nor fruity. It's just green aromatic. A true crowd pleaser.

when i spray the main note i can tell is water lily. And i liked because of the water lily, i had or tried very few fragances where this is the star. every once in awhile i smell this because is so fresh and gives me a moist vibe. But, much of this can make you smell like a old lady. on the drydown i can smell the green tea, i don't like it as much as the rest, it is a little bit sour to me.

This starts out as bright and refreshing but I find the tea note, which surprisingly isn't even listed, stronger than the original. In fact it smells more like rich black tea, especially in the dry down after the refreshing top notes have evaporated in this heat. It's almost peppery when I put my nose to my wrist, not unpleasant as a test but not a buy for me.

This is like a friendly punch in the face. You weren't expecting it and you're not sure you like it but it keeps grinning and so you give it the benefit of the doubt. The initial blast I couldn't place at all. It's different, a strange fizzy grapefruit Tango smell. It was so odd I shall have to go back and try it again..

I thought this would have been great for the summer but after wearing it a few times I'm not into it as much. It's too tangy for me, like a sweet and tangy candy. Like Sweet Tarts candy! Probably a good scent for a preteen or teenage girl but it's doesn't work for an old gal like me...lol.

Unfortunately, this did not smell good on my skin. Smelled like old hairspray and is unpleasant. Going to return this along with Tropical and Bamboo.

very very similar to the og, though I like this one better. it’s more citrusy & fresh.
