Sunflowers Sunlit Showers

I am loving this so much! I can't stop sniffing my arm. I have loved the original "Sunflowers" since I was a teenager. Then about a year ago my mom gifted my "Sunflowers Morning Gardens" and I thought, oh, she bought the wrong one, this is not the original ... and I liked it even better, because it was even lighter and airier and lovelier than SF. A week ago I noticed that there are "Sunlit Showers", "Summer Bloom", "Dream Petals and "Sunlight Kiss" also available and I had to buy them all. Since this morning I am wearing Sunlit Showers and I am loving it so much, I am totally smitten. It's breezy, light, airy, sparkling and with one spray left, one spray right on my arms, it is not overpowering. After a couple of seconds you can only smell it within about 5 or 6 inches, which is perfect for me, I hate perfume clouds hovering around people. I really have to restrain myself from buying multiple back-ups, because I have a looooot of perfumes and I also fell in love head over heels with Burberry Brit, Chopard Wish and some scents by Lush, until I overdid it and didn't like them anymore ... so, I'm gonna take it easy with this one, but I am loving the heck out of it ^^ I can't really say what I smell, I seldom can, it's a bunch of breezy flowers and fresh air and something lightly fruity. Very pleasant, especially for spring and summer.

An absolutely pretty, fresh, dewy, clean scent. I adore how the notes develop. Would love it if longevity was longer, but even so, it is good enough, gentle and intimate and very pretty. It reminds me slightly of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Lotus, but it is more sophisticated.

I've gone through (and given away/gifted) lots of Elizabeth Arden's fragrances. Several have similar notes so they smell almost the same. The thing I love about her frags is their affordability, versatility, and wearability. That's EA Sunlit Showers-- very wearable. It opens with a mix of fresh and tart-- (the orange and bergamot). It settles fairly quickly and becomes a soft, citrus, floral scent. I do not smell ANY of the base notes which is unfortunate, because I love amber and sandalwood. The mid notes (IMO) don't shine through as much as they should. I'm getting hints of violet and magnolia but not the rest of the notes. I believe the top notes are more potent and therefore mask the mid notes, but I know others who can smell the mid-notes clearly in the dry down. Like her other flankers in the Sunflowers and Green Tea line, the longevity is rubbish. Longevity may be improved by spraying your clothing, but if you don't work from home, for sure carry the flanker with you to re-apply. This fragrance is perfect for Spring and Summer weather with one caution, especially for the summer. Use a light hand, because as is the case with many citrus/floral scents, the Sunflowers and GT line can become screechy, cloying, and annoying especially for those who are sensitive to perfumes. So they won't work well with everyone's body chemistry especially in warmer weather, but maybe perfect in cool weather. Sunlit Showers definitely doesn't hold a candle to the original Sunflowers which I fell in love with and was more robust, but it holds its own since it's softer. As @malinka said, I use this starting in February then put it away at the beginning of or mid-May. Is it a safe blind buy? I think yes, but really, it depends on individual body chemistry. Some people will enjoy this more on clothing, others will be radiant with it on their pulse points. Either way-- less is more with the GT and Sunflowers line-- you'll have a beautiful cloud around you and leave a lovely trail before it settles down. Use one to two spritzes and moderately re-apply rather than over-spraying because "you can't smell it anymore". Others may be choaking on your fumes ; )

Another flanker that doesn't resemble the original at all to me. I like it. It is a nice fresh, dewy green, citrus, light musk spring, summer day scent. Last about 4 hrs before I have to reapply. If you have ever smelled Maui moisture bamboo fibers shampoo and conditioner, it's almost identical imo. so if I use that shampoo, I am going to us sunlit showers.

What a cute fragrance! I got this because it was super cheap and I love Sunflowers. It was a surprisingly good blind buy. If you're trying to find a fragrance that smells like rain, this is a good choice. Nothing too exciting about the bottle but just a light, fresh everyday summer perfume.

I smell a mix of cucumbers (even though it’s not in the notes) and fruit. Great summer party/picnic frag.

This began with the fuzzy bitter fresh thing. I could tell it is in freshie territory, i dont thithinthithink its similar to orig sunflowers I dont mind it, a bitbflat on my skin but a very easy versatile scent tothrow on Airy, dewy, fresh, cool

This perfume doesn’t work well with my skin chemistry. On me it’s not fruity, nor aquatic, it smells like fresh cut grass, a scent that I like, but only when it’s actual cut grass and not on my skin.

Th Sunflowers' note I love in most EA limited editions is almost nonexistent here. Which disappointed me a tad, as that's what I'm looking for in the family. I would be much less disappointed if I could trace the red currants or citrusy notes, which I don't. Very watery, airy, like a bunch of violets in a dewy morning. Very similar to some musky versions of English Lavender or April Violets by Yardley. It also reminds me one of the Kenzo perfumes (Air or L'eau par Kenzo ozonic notes). The drydown is cotton, nice and clean. Probably will end up as my spring perfume that I start using around March and put away by the end of May. A nice buy, but will not go crazy over them, and they will not replace my Morning Gardens or Summer Air I am crazy about.

This is generic. It smells a bit floral, a bit powdery and a bit fruity. It is not bad, but i was expecting a warm, sunny floral, like the name suggests, but that is not it. It's not bad, but bland and dated. Sillage is soft, longevity moderate. Final note: 3/10.
