Reflet Sur L'Okavango

Based on 4 full wears with a decant: This is an excellent sweet floral for fall and cooler weather in general. Honey sweetened, yellow pollen floating through the rays of a golden sunset. Niche, but extremely mass appealing. It’s a scent profile I really enjoy: elegant and put together, but still fun and charismatic. I would describe this as sweet, slightly powdery, fresh, floral. The first time I wore Reflet it reminded me of something I already owned: like an elevated, niche version of Prada Paradoxe Intense. They have zero notes in common, but the general structure and texture is similar. I sprayed them next to each other: Reflet is warmer and drier with a woodier base, while PPI is fruitier and sweeter. It makes me think of a shirt that you like so much you buy it in pink for spring/summer (PPI) and goldenrod for fall (Reflet). Since sampling several fragrances from Ella K, I have noticed that the house uses an ingredient or fixative that I find somewhat scratchy and irritating- it always seems to dry out my throat. However, this has been my favorite of the bunch and the only one I’d consider purchasing.

THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PERFUMES THAT I HAVE EVER SMELLED. You know you have found your signature scent when: 1) You've picked another perfume to wear, but wish you could rewind your day and spray this instead. 2) You get told by your other half (who is indifferent to perfumes) how good you smell multiple times per day while wearing this, and compliments from random strangers flood in as well. 3) You feel like the scent bubble this creates quite literally puts you on Cloud 9, with a mood changing boost of confidence. Naturally sweet, honeyed florals that radiate all day long like you've poured nectar from The Garden of Eden on your skin. This perfume just needs to be experienced for one to understand... or maybe we should just keep this little treasure to those who have been fortunate enough to find it to ourselves Excuse me while I declutter a few bottles to purchase more backup bottles of Reflets Sur L'Okavango.

Imagine walking past a beautiful girl with fresh washed hair that lingered and projects. Not saying it smells shampoo-like.. it gives slight resemblance of Gisou hair mist, but for your body (& hair if you fancy) --better imo. If honey in perfumes doesn't work for you like me this is def worth a sniff. The amarula liquor gives off the same feel as honey, but with the papyrus and acacia flowers it's truly a unique blend I didn't have in my collection. This scent radiates especially in the heat yet versatile enough that can be worn all year round day or night. This gem is underrated & unforgettable

I almost want to keep this secret to myself, but I also want this perfume to sell so it is never discontinued! I love yellow florals but I do not like honey when it smells sticky sweet. But this has such a NATURAL sweetness. It smells like pollen and nectar. I really don't think it smells like a designer scent, it's too crisp and organic. Now I have to start saving up.... This smells like one of those extra-warm days in early May where it almost feels like summer, but the spring flowers are still new.

The Okavango, a river in Botswana which inspired this splendid fragrance. Its delta is famous as the "elephant cemetery", it seems that the older specimens instinctively head towards this indefinite place, to die far from their family, their clan. A mystical place, a meeting of death and life. The life cycle that repeats itself. This is a strong fragrance, which on my skin appears clean and green, slightly floral, very pleasant. Very high class and elegant, ended up on the wish list.

Oh what a wonderfully feminine and elegantly pretty fragrance. Beautifully floral but with a lightness to it. Elegant yet youthful at heart. It has a soft honeyed nuance to it and a slightly powdery touch. Slightly reminds me of an elevated version of Narciso Ambree with the addition of honey-like sweetness, more florals and the musk dialed right back and powdered down. Although I would be in no rush to buy, this is full bottle worthy as a lovely daily wear.

It smells like happiness on a hot summer day. The opening is a lovely exotic floral shake that is intoxicating. It is literally a burst of positive notes like florals, tropicals and tonka bean. In concept the idea sounds cloying but it is definitely exotic and intriguing. I have actually traveled to the Okavango delta, and somehow this truly evokes it's vibrant sunsets, the wilderness, and it's lazy summer days.

What a dream. Like getting drunk on flowers and honey at one of Queen Titania’s midnight revels. Sweet and lush without being cloying. And I don’t pick up on the powdery note others mention. I lived in the sample for a few days and would love to add one or two of Ella K’s elegant bottles to my collection. Update: bought the bottle and now it’s one of my favorite “afternoon walk” scents.

Underrated gem!! Blind buy jackpot for me. This smells so good and so different to anything I've ever tried before. Warm, sweet, a little powdery but still airy and light, not cloying at all. Excellent longevity (+12 h) and sillage. Higly reccommend! Ella K is quickly becoming one of my favourite houses.

This is one of my compliment getters. Spray only a couple times, this is beautifully potent, Seductive and rich. I am at my last few sprays sadly, I need to buy the full bottle. Long lasting I get 10 hours at least.

most expensive perfume i've ever bought...but so worth it. i don't get any powdery notes, which is interesting because i'm usually really sensitive to powderiness. to me, this is just gorgeous.

This is lovely but I think it would annoy me after a couple hours. A wall of powdery golden florals.

An incredible journey in a soliflore fragrance. At first, it’s a flowery breeze rolling through the open door of a clean barn stacked with bales of hay. It kind of makes me want to sneeze, and is a bit overly pollinated for me. Within an hour, a hazy yellow floral overtakes the hay as the acacia blooms. Over the next few hours, it is unmissable, filling the air with the scent of warm, sugared, yellow flowers. The majority of this fragrance feels closer to a gourmand than anything else. It is absolutely candy sweet, sort of tooth ache sweet. I’ve never smelled acacia, but the flower here is deep, heady, and nearly tropical. Again, for being a supposedly one-note fragrance, the depth is tremendous. It remains delightfully herbaceous throughout. Although I found the opening notes troubling and repeatedly felt assaulted by the strength, the ending half of this fragrance is gorgeous enough to earn my overall appreciation. It’s incredibly beautiful. As the sweetness softens, so do the final floral notes return to the scent. An experience in complexity, the finale of this fragrance is both calming and invigorating. I applied my sample with a heavy hand and was smacked by this fragrance for hours and hours. Longevity and sillage are more than adequate.

I'm testing this one today from a sample I picked up over the summer at Jovoy in Paris. I'm not sure if it's carried in the U.S. I wanted to add the other notes from the perfumer, which include several notes native to Africa (found by googling) which were new to my nose: Head: Amarula Liquor - Papyrus Heart: Acacia Flower - Woolly Caper - Iris Base: Tonka Beans - Sycamore - Mopane This fragrance is sweeter than I typically like, but it's quite intriguing, very airy, soft, fresh, somewhat fruity (though not any kind of fruit I recognize), with something dessert-y wafting through, probably the Amarula liqueur, which is distilled from a fruit native to sub-equatorial Africa. The beverage supposedly tastes like like fruit and butterscotch, which seems right to me from the perfume. I would love to hear from any folks from Botswana, South Africa and nearby countries, or people who've spent time there, who've tried this one!

This reads to my nose like a high quality simplified version of a scent like the tragically reformulated before discontinuation Poeme by Lancôme. It’s a sweet nectar-y yellow floral. Smells a bit more modern and doesn’t have any vintage notes to it. I can definitely tell a difference between the two. It’s simple and linear. Quite sweet, flowery, girly. Could be considered in the same category as a number of other sweet floral designer perfumes heavy on yellow flowers, but the quality and refinement of this one makes it stand out. Where some designer fragrances fail and smell cheap, this is luxe and quality.

a beautiful interpretation of acacia blossom blended with honey. The floral note feels soft, luminous and slightly creamy, while the honey adds warmth and richness without becoming overly sweet. The composition is elegant and distinctive, highlighting the character of the acacia in a very refined way. What makes this fragrance even more impressive is its performance the projection and longevity are remarkably strong. A unique floral with excellent presence.

I usually shy away from super feminine fragrances because I can't stand synthetic gourmands or saccharine powder bombs, but this is lovely. Comes across as very "natural" and sweet the way an actual flower is sweet. It's hard to imagine how anyone could dislike this, it's so lovely and agreeable and tasteful

This is just strong sh*t. Nuclear power. Because I almost git nausea from a sample I will never use this scent again. BUT if you like Alien, this is wpuld be right for you. It has the same sensual vibe and date-night fragrance. Give it a try but spray carefully!
