Forever Pistachio Mist

Sweet, vanilla, musky, woody, powdery, nutty, green, warm, amber, feminine, sensual, flirty, charming, whimsical, dreamy, delightful, delicious, alluring, tempting, addictive, inviting, cozy, comforting I’m honestly shocked by the negative and just ok reviews for this because personally I love it! It’s such a delightfully sweet, nutty, and green pistachio scent swirled with vanilla, drizzled with caramel, on a woody and musky base! Ellis Brooklyn has been really impressing me with their newer releases over the past 2 years! Previously, I thought their perfumes were nice enough, but usually not loves for me. However, that began changing with the release of Miami Nectar, which I thoroughly enjoy! Then came their mists, and I was just blown away! Marshmallows is actually still one of my favorite fragrances, it’s truly incredible! So, whenever I saw these new mists for summer I was super intrigued, and very excited to try them! I only bought Forever Pistachio, so it’s the only one that I’ve had the opportunity to try so far, but I think I’d also really enjoy New Crush. Forever Pistachio reminds me a lot of Coach Dreams Starlight, VS Pistachio Crème, and SDJ 62. I think it’s also reminiscent of BBW Pistachio Glaze. On me, it smells a lot like a combination of VS Pistachio Crème and Coach Dreams Starlight. For anyone who enjoys Pistachio Crème, I highly recommend checking this out as an alternative/replacement. I think this is reminiscent of SDJ 62, however 62 is much richer with a more decadent salted caramel and vanilla, and much less woody and green. Forever Pistachio reads as a more nutty and pistachio forward scent. I own several Ellis Brooklyn fragrances. I have the perfumes in Queen’s Caramel, Vanilla Salt, Miami Nectar, Bee, Salt, Vanilla Milk, and Myth. I have the mists in Marshmallows, Forever Pistachio, Sand, and Vanilla Sin. I get moderate performance with Forever Pistachio. The longevity is around 4 hours on my skin. The projection is also on the moderate side as it radiates out around and arm’s length. this is SO nutty on me, it's just pure pistachio

I can't quite pin what it is about this that just isn't working but alas, something just ain't workin here. This is a VERY soapy pistachio but mixed in with megasweet notes like salted caramel and buttercream.... it just doesn't work. It clashes. It's unharmonious. I love pistachio in perfumery but unfortunately, when it's done in this manner it really does turn people off from the note entirely. This smells almost identical to Pistachio Brulee from Le Monde Gourmand, especially in the drydown. Feels like Ellis Brooklyn's rushed version of SDJ Cheirosa 62. Not intentional at all. I definitely will not be repurchasing. Rating: 3/10 to 4/10

This is more bitter than most pistachio scents, there’s a shell-like note in it and it’s much less almondy than the sweet pistachio scents like SDJ 62, Kayali, or the BBW pistachios. I’m not a fan but if the previous pistachio releases didn’t do it for you, give this a try
