As it dries down the fruity top notes become softer, and the creamy caramel, cozy benzoin, delicate and powdery vanilla orchid, soft musk, and just a bare whisper of patchouli in the base which elevates the sweet marshmallow and bright fruity notes really beautifully. The most prominent notes on me are the marshmallow, lemon, peach, caramel, and benzoin followed by the vanilla orchid and musk. Overall, it’s a sweet and fluffy fruity marshmallow that grows more decadent and yummy as it dries down. This is such a beautiful and unique marshmallow scent! Don’t expect a straight fluffy marshmallow-y vanilla sweetness. The marshmallow is definitely there, but it’s elevated by the lemon, peach, and caramel notes. Who knew that these notes would work so well together? They add this really interesting, bright, zesty, and fruity feel, especially in the opening. The further you get into the dry down the more the caramel, benzoin, vanilla orchid, and musk come through making it sweeter and cozier. However, the fruity notes remain nicely intertwined throughout which keeps the marshmallow bright and fluffy while it’s still sweet and even a little decadent thanks to the caramel. Even if you dislike patchouli, I still definitely highly recommend trying this as the patchouli is extremely subtle, barely noticeable. It just adds a little bit of depth in the base. This is absolutely lovely! When I saw this was coming out I knew I was buying it immediately because I adore marshmallow scents, and it turned out to be a very successful blind buy! When I was reading about it, I discovered that it was created by the same perfumer who created Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow, which is my favorite perfume. It’s quite a complex and unique scent for a mist. I also really love that this comes in a chic and elegant ombré glass bottle with the best atomizer that I’ve ever used for a mist! I have several fragrances from Ellis Brooklyn including some of their other mists which I thoroughly enjoy. I have the mists in Marshmallows (my favorite fragrance from Ellis Brooklyn!), Sand, and Vanilla Sin, and all 3 are excellent! I have the perfumes in Miami Nectar (my favorite of the perfumes!), Bee, Vanilla Milk, Salt, and Myth, and they’re all really lovely too! As for the “reminds me” section, I can’t say that I’ve tried many of them, but I do have Yum Boujee Marshmallow and BBW Boardwalk Marshmallow Clouds. I don’t really think either of them are overly similar, but I could see why someone might be slightly reminded of them. The closest scent that I’ve come across to Marshmallows is surprisingly Kayali Capri in a Bottle. I was really surprised to discover that it’s dry down on me is quite reminiscent of YBM. Since Capri is “lemon sugar” it comes closer to the Marshmallows scent, although Marshmallows is a good bit more zesty. The longevity is really good, it lasts at least 6-7 hours on my skin. The projection is nice, it radiates out at least an arm’s length from me.

On me it opens with a sweet fruity burst of citrusy lemon and bright peach with sugary and fluffy marshmallow and delicate powdery vanilla orchid. As the fruity top notes settle the warm and yummy gourmand goodness really starts to shine. The marshmallow and vanilla orchid stay prominent, and the sweet and creamy caramel, cozy benzoin, fluffy musk, and the sensual golden warmth of amber woods all really start to shine. I can barely notice any patchouli in this at all, just a bare whisper of its spicy warmth once it’s dried down. I’m definitely really loving this one! I am a big fan of marshmallow scents as well as sweet and gourmand fragrances in general. This has already become one of my favorite marshmallow forward fragrances! This is flirty and playful, but also sophisticated enough for women of any age to wear. I think this is one of those fragrances that can actually work pretty nicely all year round. It’s warm and cozy enough for the colder weather, but perfectly sweet and airy enough for the warmer weather. I really enjoy these EB hair and body mists too. This is my 3rd, I also have and love Sand and Vanilla Sin. These EB mists really are high quality. Great performance, lovely glass ombré bottles, and fantastic atomizers (the best I’ve ever seen on a mist!). I get great performance with Marshmallows, especially considering it’s a hair and body mists. The longevity is really good, it lasts 8+ hours on me before I feel like it may need a touch up. The projection is nice, it radiates out about least an arm’s length from me. Definitely a good value in my opinion. Something interesting that I discovered when reading about Marshmallows... It was actually created by the same perfumer who created Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow. I think that may be one of the reasons why I enjoy this one so much too. The marshmallow note comes off fluffy and light. It’s well balanced, so it’s sweet, but not too sweet. The fragrance is just very well done, well blended, and overall very beautiful. Here’s a few of my thoughts on comparing to other popular marshmallow scents. Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow - I think this could be considered somewhat similar to YBM if you swapped the strawberry for the lemon and peach and added a slightly warmer base with caramel and amber woods. I do get the same fluffy marshmallow vibe in both of them, and I do really love both. PDM Oriana - Also slightly similar, mainly because of the bright fruity and citrusy opening and the fluffy marshmallowy and musky dry down. This is more of a sweet candy like scent to me as opposed to a more warm and caramel marshmallow with a fruity opening. Kilian LDBS - I don’t find this similar to LDBS because that’s a very sweet, floral, and orange blossom forward marshmallow scent. Kilian Princess - I also don’t think it’s similar to Princess because that’s a very fresh, floral, and green marshmallow scent, and this is much more fruity and gourmand. I swear their best scents are the body mists! I also have Sand, Vanilla Sin, Miami Nectar, Bee, Salt, Vanilla Milk, and Myth, and I enjoy them a lot! I also discovered that this mist was actually created by the same perfumer who created Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow! That’s really amazing to do for a mist, and was worth it because of how wonderful this smells! On me this opens citrusy and sweet with fluffy marshmallows, citrusy lemon and sweet yet tart peach. I was nervous about how much lemon and peach I was getting when I first sprayed this on. They seemed rather prominent and I wasn’t sure how they would combine to make an amazing marshmallow scent since they seemed to be the prominent notes. As soon as it settled though, the citrusy/fruity notes were also joined by a sweet and powdery marshmallow that I was already enjoying more. So, now as it’s drying down, it’s really starteing to shine for me, I’m no longer nervous if I’ll love this one. The marshmallow stays intertwined throughout which I love, while the lemon and peach become much softer and more subtle. The rich and creamy caramel, cozy benzoin, powdery and delicate vanilla orchid, and the soft musk join the marshmallow, and are uplifted by the lemon and peach that are lingering softly in the background. I barely get any patchouli, just a bare whisper after it’s dried down. I actually think this is a rather interesting and unique take on a marshmallow scent! It’s really beautiful, especially as it starts drying down! I was a little hesitant at my first whiff or 2, it was very citrusy and fruity which I wasn’t expecting, especially with such prominence. Don’t get me wrong, It’s still a very pleasant opening , but I was expecting marshmallow, caramel, vanilla orchid, and benzoin, so it seemed like it was going in a different direction than that. As soon as it started drying down though, Wow! Absolutely gorgeous! I wouldn’t have guessed how well those notes would intertwine with and uplift each other in such a complimentary way. A wonderfully delightful and unexpected surprise! Delightfully surprised This isn’t just a straight marshmallow scent, so don’t expect that from it. The opening isn’t very marshmallow-y at all, but as it dries down the marshmallow scent becomes more and more prominent. The atomizer on this bottle is probably the best atomizer that I’ve ever used! The ombré glass bottles are a lovely and elegant touch that I think is a nice extra touch with how much this mist costs (I’ve not seen it with any of the other brands). I also use the mists from Phlur, SDJ, VS, and B&BW, but I get the best performance from these mists, the Phlur mists, and old VS mist (like the OG Vanilla Lace!). On me, this really performs as well as their EDPs do, so in a strange way they end up being a great value for me! They seem expensive for a mist, but at least for me they perform amazingly and smell super incredible, so they turned out to be worth it! As it starts drying down it begins to grow sweeter with decadent caramel, delicate and powdery vanilla orchid, and cozy and slightly balsamic benzoin. The dry down just adds a bit of depth with soft musk and just a bare whisper of patchouli. Overall, it’s an addictive and delightfully sweet, fluffy, and powdery vanilla marshmallow drizzled with caramel, and swirled with peach, and a touch of lemon and musk. This is hands down one of my favorite fragrances! It’s such a unique take on a marshmallow scent! Such a delightful confectionery! Definitely one of my favorite marshmallow scents! I do have the OG version, which is the one I’m reviewing. The patchouli is extremely subtle, so don’t let that worry you if you’re not a fan of it. Like I mentioned, this is a unique marshmallow scents, so don’t expect a straight fluffy vanilla marshmallow. It’s there, but it’s intertwined with prominent notes of caramel, peach, and some lemon, so it’s quite fruity and radiant too. To me this definitely feels feminine to me, and suitable for women of all ages. I think it works well throughout the whole year because it sweet and cozy enough for colder weather, yet fruity enough for warmer weather. I think it’s most fitting for casual occasions and work/school. I actually get good performance with this considering it’s a mist. Longevity it moderate to strong as it last 6-7 hours on my skin. The projection is moderate as it radiates out about an arm’s length from me. This is shockingly similar to Dedcool Mochi Milk. A few hours ago I sprayed Mochi Milk on one arm and Marshmallows on the other. They are virtually identical from first spray to drydown. I legitimately have to do a hardcore investigation to find any differences. The only one I can discern (and it is a very slight difference) is that in the drydown, Mochi Milk has that slightest hint of a rice accord that makes it smell textural, chewy. I wouldn't say it actually smell like mochi, but rather a piece of mochi that has had perfume sprayed onto it. I do get the chewiness in the scent. Whereas marshmallow is more airy, and it lacks that rice accord that gives it the chewy textural nuance. That being said, if you are the average person, you will notice no difference in scent whatsoever. The experience of wearing both scents are essentially the same. In terms of longevity, I've had them both on for a few hours (and have also worn both in the past) and honestly, they are largely the same. Neither is a particular strong, high-projection or long-lasting scent. They are both soft. However I do notice that with both of them, if you spray them on clothes you might smell that same shirt the next day and get a whiff of the scent. It's subtle, but it's there. And that's my experience of wearing these as well. Comparing Mochi Milk to Marshmallows, I actually prefer Marshmallows. I like that it's a touch more airy, and of course the price difference is huge. Where I live, the mist is $60 for 50ml, whereas I believe the perfume was over $150, also for 50ml. If you're deciding between the two I would definitely get the mist. The fact that you can use it on your hair as well? Incredible. But of course I'm happy to have both because I absolutely love this scent. It's so, so beautiful and angelic. I have tried Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow but I found it way too candy sweet and it felt too young for me. I would say these are a less sweet (but still sweet) and more age-neutral take on a marshmallow scent. And I'm absolutely here for it!
