Emanuel Ungaro Fresh For Him

I got this at Burlington for $8. I try to not buy anything as blind as I possibly can, and checking here does make it “not blind,” despite not not actually smelling the fragrance. But when deciding, I looked this one up on here to see if the notes appeal to me in any way and I instantly knew that I needed it. As soon as I see ozonic, I’m usually all in. Let me start by saying I despise the smell of grapefruit. I love everything about grapefruit except the way it smells. But this, it doesn’t smell like “grapefruit” if that makes any sense. It definitely is citrusy, but more on the bergamot side than grapefruit. But everything else comes together nicely, the fresh in the name really belongs there because this is fresh as can be. It’s not “ocean breeze on a sunny day from the pacific” fresh that Nautica fragrances give me, but more of a “windy day in rainy Maine” feeling. It’s clean, but it has extra things that make it feel a little down to earth instead of being airy. Definitely a good purchase for $8, but honestly wouldn’t pay anything over $25 for the same sized bottle I got that some of the listings on here show. That could just be because I like great deals, but who knows.

fresh and a little sweeter than Dior homme cologne, grapefruit citrus bomb, ideal for these hot days, sprinkle at will...very delicious. perfectly unisex! nothing with Terre d'Hermes!

This smells like TDH to me. It is a citrus and vetiver freshie scent. Cheap but it does perform very well on my skin.

Ginger Citrus bomb grounded by Vetiver and Oakmoss. Initially I wasn't convinced with TdH comparison, but yes. Grounding components are earthy in the vein of TdH. Blindbought it for $8 for 30 mL. Highly synthetic, cheap stickered bottle with cheap atomizer. Unfortunately not a strong performer (on my skin), but would be perfect for a work-out scent and a casual scent.

Reminds me slightly of Lacoste essential mixed with Versace blue jeans and also of these French lemon lavender candies my wife bought while we were in Niece, but not really a sweet scent.

I picked up Fresh For Him at Burlington as well, 30 ml for $8, which is about half of what Saks Off 5th commands on their website. I thought it was a pleasant generic woody citrusy cologne that definitely gave off Terre d'Hermes vibes. I own both Acqua Essenziale Colonia and Brooks Brothers NY Gentlemen and I don't really find Fresh For Him to be similar to either of these. Overall, for $8 it was worth a try but I wouldn't pay more than that and it's definitely not a repeat buy. Is it fresh and is it nice? Sure, I even got a compliment. Is it anything worth writing home about? Not really.

Come on man... try this on a blotter. It makes the blotter turn blue.... the scent is not too bad but quite generic.

I blind bought this at Burlington at $7.99 for a 1 fl oz. I wish it was I had found a bigger bottle. This is a great scent imo, in the same vein as Salvatore Ferragamo Acqua Essenziale Colonia and Brooks Brothers NY Gentlemen. Lemon soapy and very clean, not headache inducing, and not very sweet at all. If you’re thinking fresh like I was, you’re wrong. I was thinking a sweet, airy, laundry scent or something more oceanic or “blue”. This is fresh like freshly showered and shaved with a quality lemon soap in an Italian town. You’re about to put on a light cotton button up with the sleeves rolled up and spend the day in the sun. It could also work as an office scent, which is a lot more likely for most people. It’s an easy juice to spray for work or casual. I get a beach sort of vibe at the drydown, almost like a sun tan lotion accord hiding in the background. The box gives off the idea that it is a “younger” scent, but I would say it leans more “mature” as this DNA reminds me of more adult fragrances (Dunhill for men/Vince Camuto Eterno). Even though I have a couple that are similar I don’t find it too redundant in my collection and I will definitey wear it. If I see a larger bottle for $20 or less I might get it. Overall.. great juice.

This was a super cheap find and for what it is, it neither disappoints, nor excites. Somewhat similar DNA to CK One, at least to my nose, but not as refined or complex. Overall an everyday perfume for hotter weather, blends well with my body chemistry and good for all those times when I want to smell "nice" without attracting attention: Running errands, grocery shopping, picking the kids I don't have from school, and the likes. It projects as it should for what it is and dries down to a standard but pleasant spicy, breezy, citrus-ey whisper after 3 hours or so.

ThiS was the most successful $8 blind but ever..A Grapefruit opening very Light Blue Forever like, that segues into a zingy effervescent clean fresh smell that lasts maybe 3 he's on me,ideal for very hot days ,if it reminds me of any Terre de Hermes it's definitely the discontinued Eau Tres Fraiche flanker.A safe blind buy if you like clean zingy citruses.

100ml is currently selling for like $15 now at C&F (a local retail chain) online store, even cheaper than Nautica. A decent pleasant fresh citrusy simpler alt to YSL Y EDT.

This fragrance does remind me of TdH Eau Tres Fraiche, but less distinctive and less powerful. Not bad, but nothing worth going out of your way to purchase.
