Al Fares Risalah Symphony of Love

Picked this up after a visit to Sephora with my husband. He really liked Devotion and knows how much I love lemon so he encouraged me to pick it up. I wasn’t convinced, so I went for this instead and wore it for the first time today. It’s at least 80% similar but maybe more since I’m not smelling them side by side. It has incredible longevity, but it’s a skin scent after 3 hours. From hour 4 until hour 8 it was persistent, but with no projection, almost like a body cream or oil. The orange blossom is most noticeable in the opening, the rum fades in and out. I’m not sure what panna cotta accord is supposed to smell like as the real thing just smells milky + whichever flavor the chef decides to add that day. So maybe it’s meant to just smell like cooked cream, the literal translation of panna cotta. Anyhow, it’s not all that sweet and I’ll be darned, my husband was right - this smells pretty darn good.

it's not as fresh as devotion and doesn't have that light and airy lemony note. the initial citrus develops into a much denser and musky scent and i can't really smell the floral aspect of it. it feels almost smoky but it's still definitely a gourmand. it's not a perfect duplicate but it gets somewhat close especially if you let it sit for a while. i think i still prefer devotion but i love the stronger smoky note and considerable longevity :3

This is nothing like D&G Devotion, mainly because there is no lemon! I bought this hoping for a dupe and was very disappointed. That being said, if you like heavy, musky vanillas, then this is a good perfume. I gave it to my mum and she has now called it her ‘special occasion’ perfume! It’s well blended and lasts all day. The packaging is beautiful and heavy, very impressive. But it’s not Devotion.

Got a free sample of this when I ordered Emper Silver Vetiver. Bottom Line: While this is marked as unisex, it is a very sweet gourmand that is extremely feminine. It smells like a sweet dessert, which might work for a woman, but not for a man.
