Phantom My Hero

I was seriously surprised by this perfume, firstly because I had never heard of Emper before this fragrance and also because it seems to go under the radar of a lot of reviewers. I didn't want to get Spectre Wraith because it was double the price of this one and it also lacked some of the notes I wanted from a Black Phantom dupe. First thing that impressed me was the projection, I sprayed it on as soon as I unboxed it in the living room, and almost immediately someone about 10m or so away from me smelled it (although they did mention the smell they got was different from the one you get up close). Second thing that impressed me was the longevity, I sprayed this on for testing around 10 in the morning, later in the day after I took an afternoon shower and when I was about to go to bed I noticed the smell was still there. I wouldn't use more than 4 or 5 sprays of this, it's very potent, the smell also won't leave your clothes until you wash them so be careful not to spray it on fragile garments. What stands out the most on the opening is some very aromatic caramel that has something almost floral to it, there's a chocolate smell but it's more like a chocolate liqueur than proper dark chocolate and that's where the booziness comes from here, no rum to speak of. If there's a coffee note in here, it's not roasted coffee beans or a pure coffee smell like that, rather it's that "coffee-ness" that chocolate has, way in the background. This isn't a layered fragrance at all, it comes at you unified as one smell. If I ignored the listed notes and had to describe what it smells like to you: Imagine one of those milk chocolate bonbons that has liqueur inside and part of the sugar crystalized, or a chocolate liqueur mixed with some toasty caramel. Pretty elegant smell for the winter, I would get it if you can find it cheaper than Wraith.

I don't know how this isn't more popular. This is a great and is pretty close to Black Phantom. It lasts for 8+ hours easily, the isn't that much of a difference between the opening and the drydown it does smell a lot more simple than Black Phantom to be honest, but it's amazing value for money. I have other dupes like Insomnia, which is honestly great, but extremely overpriced and this is kinda of better in my opinion, I also have Spectre Wraith, which is by far the worst thing in this DNA, I still think it's good, but the smell does transform several times and you catch different notes every hour in the first 3 hours. This is cheap, basic, non nonsense and great, amazing projection, amazing longevity, great smell if you like the DNA, it's probably not a good blind buy, because it's really gourmondy, harsh, sweet and dark smell, but for me it's one of the greats. It does deserve more attention.

I'm so glad i decided to pull the trigger on this one, i let this fragrance mature for a month and i was rewarded with an amazing scent full of character and depth. This is not for the young men who likes blue fragrances or fresh and clean scents, this juice is daring and mysterious woth just the right amount of sweetness, the dry down is amazing you get the almond, rum and sandalwood working together with the caramel providing just the right sweetness is simply spectacular in my opinion. On special occasions, night out setting were you are well put together this will make you stand out for sure. One of my best pick ups of last year!

I missed this release somehow, probably because wraith is so good. I'm already on my second bottle. I recently bought a kilian discovery set to try the og as well. I preferred wraith to og phantom because it smelled darker and heavier. More rum, more chocolate, less coffee (which I feel adds a "brightness"), better longevity. Emper smells closer to og phantom and I was hoping it'd have better longevity based off some of these reviews. So far not overly impressed, but maybe it'll develop over time. Definitely a no brainer to buy emper if you like og phantom though. Great value for the scent profile!

It is a good perfume, it has some similarities with Givenchy Reserve Privée, besides obviously to Black Phantom. The first 30 mins to an hour could be kind of harsh due to the rum, besides that it is pleasant to smell. It maybe around of 3 hrs of good performance, then it can fade to maybe closer range. In cloth can last even a week with good smell, after a week feels like a milky scent that may be rotten.

This stuff is not normal, first you smell chocolate, coffee and Rum, and in the dry down, it develops to a toasted almond, and caramel and some woods. A delicious sweet masculine liqueured fragrance, that lasts more than 12 hours on my skin, this is a bomb. Extremely similar to Black Phantom by Killian, I think 95-98%. I'm addicted to this DNA.

More coffee less creamy than the original. Lasts much more than the original honestly. Feels more balanced and fits my liking even more than the OG. Forget about any other clone of Black Phantom. THIS IS THE BEST! A Backup Bottle Secured

Great blind buy tbh. Very chocolaty, nutty, and boozy. Very good fragrance overall. Strong projection and lasts a long time. Winter time staple to my collection

Great perfume. Smells exactly like insomnia by Faviol Seferi

When I looked at the note breakdown, I expected a sweet gourmand fragrance that might lean slightly feminine or unisex. In reality, it's much darker, richer and more masculine than I anticipated. Each note is easily distinguishable, yet they blend together smoothly enough that someone unfamiliar with the composition would simply experience it as a well crafted scent. I could see this becoming a bit cloying in anything other than fall or winter, but it gives off strong date night vibes and feels perfectly suited for cooler weather. For the price, I highly recommend it to anyone who thinks it might fit their taste. The projection and longevity are also pretty decent.

I've given it a try and it had the same vibe as Kilian. Of course, if you do a fair comparison (how I did) and put on Kilian and this one, you will definitely feel that Kilian is deeper, richer and has higher quality. But it might be expensive, and this fragrance is a nice alternative. The performance is good. Amazing value/price ratio.

This is NOT a safe blind buy, way too harsh at the opening due the rum, after 30min in the drydown it's more wearable, very noticable and elegant, I would give it less rum, but it's fine

I've tried Alexandria Dark Knight and I've been lookin for a cheaper alternative but not the original. Smells great from the atomizer and in the opening. You get the almond nuttiness, coffee bean, chocolate and rum. It is all there, 10/10. However, in the mid and dry down, it gets way too powdery, sweet and cloying. I put one spray on my chest before going to bed and it was just too much. It's actually way too linear since the opening is so short lived and the powdery sweetness just takes over. Performance and value is great! Overall, it's still good for the money if you like Black Phantom.

First sample spray gives perfumers alcohol there's no coffee, no chocolate just a vague attempt at rum,(bad synthetic cake essence)heliotrope and sandalwood. I'll give it a few weeks but it'll probably go through several hands before it finds a final home. Sprayed it again a few weeks on. Faint powdery chocolate appeared and even fainter cappuccino note but very subtle. Smells feminine leaning to me if I'm honest. There might be inconsistent batch issues on this going by the differences in reviews. I've noticed differing levels of notes in a few from the Emirates. 6/10

Nose Note #102 It's almost identical to Black Phantom, I give it that, but it's much more weaker. The OG is a weapon of terrorism. This dupe is actually MORE wearable and pleasant... But I can't tolerate OG, neither do I like this one. Performance is good. If you like the OG, this is a great clone. I don't like it at all. If you are searching for a coffee scent, this is not it. It's a vague rendition of some strange coffee that noone has ever smelled

I am so sad about this. This is my first Emper fragrance. I agree this is not blind buy safe! I do not smell chocolate or coffee. I smell rotten fruit. Synthetic fruit, actually the same type of smell I get from Bibliotheque by Byredo. Some ingredient must be similar cause the notes don’t really match but I swear that’s what I get. I am not trying to say this is BAD, but it is at the bottom of 2025 smells for me. If anyone wants my bottle lmk. I would love to try another Emper scent but now I am afraid:/

Smells like burnt pickles in the opening, then drys down into something much better. I get the chocolate, the rum and the coffee and I like it it's not bad but it's definitely not a crowdpleaser and I got a complaint from my coworker who's also into fragrances while wearing it. Hopefully it improves with maturation in it's smoothness and blend quality but rn it's decent. I wouldn't even mind the pickle opening if it wasn't for the fact that its strong for 30 mins and always in the background.

I had worn this for the first time out in public the other day- I was at Vons. Was just doing my thing at self checkout when I overhear “wow it smells really good in here”... they were 15 ft away and that is exactly the spot I was standing just before checking out. I knew it had to be me because the scent bubble still hadn’t left my face ever since I sprayed it. Needless to say this stuff is gas, not blind-buy safe due to the scent profile/type, but the way I would describe it is very rum/booze forward at first (harsh), and then the middle tone is a powdery, semi-sweet chocolate coffee smell, mixed with a hint of nuttiness and woods.
