The Black 92

This is possibly my best and one of the cheapest (under $17) blind buys ever. Never heard of this brand previously, and there's little content about it on social media. Very solid dupe of Le Labo The Noir 29. The best fig fragrance I own, better than Diptyque Philosykos IMHO. Excellent scent development and lasted all day and through the night. Woke up with a skin scent. It has gotten better over time... wasn't quite this good straight out of the box. Absolutely smells niche.

Very similar to the now-discontinued Lhomme Ideal Cologne. It smells fresh and clean at a great price. It lasts wonderfully.

Im a 58 year old woman. I bought this in February of 2025. I hated it. It smelled like urine. I put it on the shelf, with all my other 300 scents, to do it's maceration - maturation, etc. I guess it worked, cuz I revisited it today, more than a year later, March of 2026, and it's different. Intriguing. Not as urine smelling and very multi-faceted. I changed my original rating from hate to like. Now, I kinda like it for the unique-ness. I won't buy another bottle. I can't see wearing this often. Its weird.

IMHO This smells just like Mazaaji for women by Lataffa. Why do I smell pee and urine in both of these? I've never smelled original Le Labo 'The Noir' b4 so I can't say if it's a good dupe or not. I'm a 58 year old woman with over 300 frags. This is in bottom 5% for me because of the pee smell. Hard pass on this one.

I received this as part of an Emper travel set. Off a tester strip, this is a unisex fragrance that has a creamy, complex suite of notes that range from sweet to savory. They're all well balanced, play nicely with each other, and can be worn throughout the year. Need to give it a full wear.

I just received The Black 92, and based on the reviews I had seen, I expected it to be a much closer dupe for Le Labo Thé Noir 29. Unfortunately, I do not find the similarity nearly as strong as other reviewers have suggested. To me, The Black 92 is extremely tea-forward and fairly one-note. I mostly get the tea note without the depth, richness, or complexity found in either Thé Noir 29 or Citrus Tea by Dossier. It is also very light, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it feels somewhat incomplete compared to the fragrance it is trying to replicate. The projection is minimal, and it only lasts a few hours on my skin. If you’re looking for an affordable Thé Noir 29 alternative, I think Citrus Tea by Dossier is the better option. It is stronger, more layered, and the dry down is much closer to the original. The Black 92 may work well layered with the Dossier fragrance to emphasize the tea note, but on its own, it feels too limited and underdeveloped. For the price I paid, I am not upset that I blind bought it, and I am curious to see whether it improves with time. However, based on my first impression and the expectations created by the reviews, I am disappointed.

Haven't tried the original so can't speak to the closeness to it but it smells more like high end hotel bath soap than tea-like. I ended up using this one as a room spray.

Just fantastic! This is the best fragrance I have experienced from Emper. The blend unfolds beautifully as it moves through to the dry down. Once the tobacco appears it teases back out, lusciousness of the fig. Modern and gorgeous.

Fantastic DNA But this is weak as fuck. A better take on this is Citrus Tea by Dossier, mega banger but you gotta be cool to pull it off.
