This is probably the best fragrance you can buy for under $15. The trick is to find one sealed in a box, as ones that are out of the box can suffer from quality/longevity issues. I see a lot of people on here complaining about the longevity and I am willing to bet it's the people who bought the freestanding out-of-the-box bottles at a rack store. Here's why... I picked up two separate bottles of this (which I rarely do with any fragrance, unless I forget I already have it). One was a gift set with a 100mL, a 20mL travel spray, and body wash I scored at Macy's during the pandemic for $24.97 on clearance. The other was a single 100mL bottle that I got at TJ Maxx marked down to $10. The single bottle had a spray collar that was loose and came off with the cap every time I went to spray. Finally, I had to glue it down. The one I bought as part of a gift set doesn't do this. The gift set one also has better longevity and sillage. My friend found a single one in a box at Burlington for $12.99 and it has a similar performance to the one in my gift set. Now...I am not going to say this lasts all day. People will look at this, see it's an EDP, and expect it to. But if you buy the right kind of bottle, it will last about 6 hours. For a fragrance that is a clone of Aventus and is cheaper than most Nautica fragrances, why are you complaining?? I am also not going to be one of those people who says it smells EXACTLY like Aventus. I only smelled Aventus once, it was a while ago and not at the same time as London...BUT...obviously, the notes are mirrored after Aventus, and from what I remember of that, this is very similar. I will say that I like this more than CDNIM and Mont Blanc Explorer, both of which cost more. I do have a few more Aventus clones to try out but for now, for the (discounted) price ($13-$25), this is the one to beat. 8/2023 Update: As of this writing, the atomizer on the unboxed bottle I bought has become 99% ineffective with about 1/3 of the juice left inside. The liquid just dribbles out with each press and is about as convenient to apply as aftershave. Given this, I cannot recommend anyone purchase a bottle that isn't individually boxed or part of a gift set. 9/10

Green-Leaning Aventus Dupe with Juniper, Pineapple, Oakmoss... Although it's a dupe of Aventus Creed, and not an exact clone, it's a green-leaning, affordable dupe with good approximation and moderate performance. Some dupes lean more to the pineapple-fruity tones, but this is one that leans green. Once the spray dries and the sillage starts to open up, I get juniper-pineapple and oakmoss swelling through with pine-y. mossy & fruity tones. Well into the opening blackberry & apple are discernible but the overall effect is the same. Into the heart I get some earthy, woody & sweet tones from patchouli & ambergris. Bergamot here continues the fruity facets, while ambergris brings a juniper-sap vibe. The base is smoky, earthy and fluffy with oakmoss-moss and a hint of floral sweetness from jasmine-vanilla. I have no issue with performance, although some reviewers have found it average to weak. Overall, an affordable, easy to wear, daily driver scent. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

Creed Aventus is a great fragrance, but I can't justify the price with my salary. That being said, I tried EL London and wow. It smells closer to Aventus than anything else I have tried and on my skin it lasted all day and into the morning. I would recommend trying this one out, not every fragrance works with skin chemistry, but for me this one is a huge winner.

I love this and did not know it was a clone of Aventus. A female coworker smelled this on me and asked what it was, I told her and she got some for herself. It was funny and reassuring to see her reapplying throughout the day. This is not a sign of poor performance but she likes to smell her fragrances on her. Anyway, this is one of my favorite cheapies, maybe even backup bottle worthy. Edit: June 2020 I just pulled this out and was instantly reminded of how stunning this is. I am already putting it back into the rotation.

For $12.00 this is a no brainer. It is more of a clone of CDNIM. But so what everything is moderate. But it is better than a lot of other cheapies out there.ok it opens very close to Aventus but as it dries down it is a little less similar no birch or smokiness but it still smells great. A little closer to some of the other clones. Anyway English Laundry for the price make some descent fragrances. At the end of the day you could by their whole collection for less than one bottle of Creed Aventus.

The cologne is weak and requires multiple sprays to be noticeable by others. However, too many sprays quickly becomes irritating, so beware. It is inexpensive and the smell is very pleasant, so I would still recommend it. It's especially great if you prefer a light, fresh scent that is also very weak/subtle. It is this sort of blend of pineapple and fruitiness that's not too sweet – excellent smell, but I wish it were stronger. However, still happy with it considering the low price.

Found this gem at TJMaxx for $12! If you find this anywhere for $12, buy it, no questions asked. The beginning has a blackberry note that makes this different than the other aventus clones. When this settles it's musky, aromatic and slightly fruity. The only problem is longevity, it only lasts up to 6 hours on my skin until it completely dissappears. The scent is amazing, the price is fair and longevity is the only downside. Nonetheless, solid 8/10 fragrance for anyone.

Just an observation .... I have not tried this yet but I have seen this in Marshalls as an EDT in the past but just saw an EDP gift set today. From the Youtube reviews I have noticed they say terrible longevity when they are reviewing the EDT and decent longevity when reviewing the EDP. I think EL may have reformulated from EDT to EDP but I have no official reason to say that. So it may help when commenting about the longevity if you say which version you have.

Everyone talks about CDN all the time and pretty much no one talks about this as an alternative to CA at all. To me this is a far far better attempt than any other one I have seen including explorer. Just take a trip to one of tjmaxx shops and get this. At $12 and this quality and performance it's one of the greatest steals. Also check their other fragrances. All are very very good. This a brighter version of CA and all other inspired/clones.

I own a full bottle of this fragrance as well as a full bottle of Aventus. I feel that this fragrance doesn't get enough love as an Aventus clone. It doesn't last as long as Aventus and doesn't have that musky masculine "edge" on quite the same level. But it's still a great alternative to Aventus for anyone who wants to use this profile of notes/accords as their signature scent but doesn't want to break the bank in the process.

I rant and rave about Mont Blanc Explorer being the best Aventus copy cat but English Laundry London is very close. This has that nice balance of smokiness and fruitiness. I get at least 6 hours longevity and the projection is about arms length, maybe more. This is just right so it's not going to burn people out when they smell it on you. It's dark and masculine! Good Stuff! I give this a 9.4/10

Surprised by all the comments about the lack of longevity. This is my favorite scent on my partner. It has about an arm length sillage on him and lasts for 6+ hours. I asked him what it was so I could track it down as a gift and was expecting something higher end. It's got a balance of sweet, bright and spiced without being overwhelming.

A much more subdued version of CDNIM. This doesn't tattoo itself to your clothes like CDNIM for better or worse. There are some notable differences in scent also. This has more of a pineapple opening and a smokier dry down. Well worth $25ish range but I'd hit the brakes if it got closer to $40. A very solid scent.

My goodness what an amazing cheapie this is a lighter version of CDNIM very juicy and bright less the smokey opening of CDNIM, i get decent performance 6 hours. English Laundry is a very underrated house so far my two favorites are London and Cambridge Knight superb quality for ther price range.

Did I just buy a clone of a clone ??? Wow this is a very nice scent at a very decent price! $20 cdn, good projection with a longevity of 4 to 6 hours, definitely doesn’t have the harsh opening that Armaf does. Worth picking up !

I purchased this at Shoppers for $20 after reading reviews saying this smells like Aventus and WOW! It's not exact but its fairly close. I'm pleasantly surprised with my blind buy and I highly recommend this one!!!

Zara Vibrant Leather + A hint of pineapple 12.99 for 100ml EDP from Marshalls. It’s 30 F here in DC and I can constantly smell it while walking outside with only 3 sprays on my coat. Best deal I ever had

Think Aventus but with a nice crispy tartness. Only negative would be it doesn't last very long on my skin. Love English Laundry fragrances.

Well this one really surprised me. It's not everyday that happens, and certainly not every day a $13 fragrance surprises me the way London has. It's a well above average take on an Aventus clone that is of sufficient quality to stand on its own as a nice fragrance in its own right, regardless of its inspiration. London opens a tad messy, but thankfully without all the lemony harshness of CDNIM -- it's opening is more similar IMO to that of L'Aventure - which is to say well within the ballpark of its intended target (Aventus) in its overall impression. It dials down a bit a few minutes in, whereupon I get a more pronounced blackberry/apple accord. This is where it diverges a bit from Aventus and becomes its own thing. Instead of the smoky birch note perfected in at least earlier batches of Aventus, I get more of a generic evergreen vibe in the background with London - but in the same way, it serves to cut the sweetness that would otherwise be a bit much. All the while, there is plenty of that joyous (if a bit cooked) pineapple in the foreground to remind us what they were shooting for in making London. Speaking of which, this for me is where you can most tell the difference. The pineapple in the OG is just simply unmatched in its vibrance, vs any of its clones. So, accepting of this inherent and expected shortcoming, I still give this one high marks for a quality effort. Not bad. Longevity-wise, it's average at best. But at $13, it's hard to begrudge it for being average in that regard. It's not a $300 bottle of vintage Aventus (heck, even Aventus is now a sad shadow of its former glory), but it's respectably close and there are no blatantly loud edges to speak of. So far, I think London holds up well against a sea of Aventus pretenders, and is quite possibly the best value of the lot if you can find it at a discounter. I'd go as far as saying I like it better than Montblanc Explorer, Insurrection II Pure and CDNI. I'll call it a tie with L'Aventure in terms of overall impression as well as similarity to the OG, though each in a different way. Not Aventus, but credibly close and just very nice on its own. Thumbs up!

If reviewed as an Aventus clone, it's NOT great. There are far more accurate and balanced clones out there. Bought this for under $20 CAD at Marshall's... For another $5, CDNIM makes for a more accurate Aventus clone (despite the harsh opening) //---------// However, as a standalone frag, London is pleasant, but a bit lacking in heart and base notes. It's basically a blast of top notes. Not overly synthetic, but definitely not natural. Opens with lots of sharp blackberry and juniper. The pachouli is also notably cool and minty on opening. There is a noticeable apple in there, but far less pineapple than initially reported (was the leading note before I voted) It's similar to an Aventus opening, but sharper, cooler, with a strong blackberry (think purple label) twist. There really isn't much to mention as far as the base or drydown. A light musk runs on, as the linear scent profile gradually fades. Relatively poor projection and longevity. Would definitely work through Spring/Summer, but I wouldn't reach for this in the Fall/Winter. I would LOVE for this to have mahogany (purple label) or some other less common wood note in the mix, but nope... Just a thin, mostly linear frag. Might try layering with some ISO-E super to see how that goes. Scent: 6.5 Performance: 4.0 Value: 8.0 Really, if this wasn't so thin, it would be great.

A good Aventus clone imo. Or at least it has the same vibes as Aventus. Obviously sharper with less depth and not as heavy but overall it smells great. Longevity could be better and projection is meh, but for the price tag it’s a steal if you like the King and are looking for a substitute. If you don’t know what Aventus smells like just imagine green with citrus and pineapple/black currant fruit notes to sweeten it up. A wood base to give it weight and masculinity. Fresh and sweet, fruity and strong. London is the same idea just lighter and greener to my nose. Ages are college and up, all year round leaning warmer weather since it’s pretty light and fresh. Day to night, all occasions.. just like the king. Work, casual, clubbing (killer club scent for me), date night for sure. Formal it might be a bit too light, but it smells the part. For $14.99 or even $19.99 I think it’s a good buy. Actually a great buy. Save some juice in your Aventus bottle or try this if you don’t have Aventus and want to get an idea of it’s vibes. I will say again it’s not potent, so I tend to over spray. I also become semi nose blind to it. No biggie. Overall.. great juice.

Finally, this was added to the database. I'll caveat this review by saying that I think I have tried all of EL's fragrances, and as in most cases, some are better than others. As a point of reference, I like Notting Hill and Arrogant the best. Does anyone remember the Designer Imposters from the 80s? That’s what this scent reminds me of. Obviously, it’s intended to be a clone of Aventus, but it comes closest to mimicking Insurrection Pure. It’s fine and cheap, so there’s that and like everything else: you get what you pay for. Longevity and sillage are both very good. I get almost 10 hrs on my skin with decent projection for the first ~5 hrs or so. And a bit of advice: DON'T pay retail for this or any EL fragrance. If you want to try it, check eBay. I picked a bottle of this one up for like $10 shipped. Also. TJMaxx and Ross will frequently have EL scents at exceptional prices.

Hi folks, glad to see this added as the request has been pending on the forums. The note breakdown and online video reviews hint this follows as an Aventus clone. English laundry do tend to put out scents that are very familiar so they'll never get points for uniqueness. This fragrance is my summertime compliment to Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man. It opens with dark and dry woody notes as well as lemony fruity notes. It's got some aquatic hints which make it very airy and clean. While my wife thinks the Armaf is strong and seductive, she thinks this is pleasant and clean. It is therefore more office appropriate and is good for daytime and warm weather. I really like it. It's easy to wear and fresh without the usual citrus-aquatic theme. I get more patchouli and musk in the dry down and do not detect any vanilla or oakmoss. It's juicy and clean and really pleasant.

I picked this up while shopping at tjmax 2 years ago. Smelled similar to Aventus and was only $13 so I figured what the heck. Honestly , it sat in the back of my closet for 2 years. Initially, it was a very musky and smoky version of Aventus that didn’t blend well on my skin. However, I started using it in the last two months and maybe it macerated or something but the unpleasant note disappeared. Now to me, it is a very pleasant Aventus style cologne for the money. You can easily throw this in your backpack and use it whenever it kind of like deodorant since you don’t have to be frugal with it. Spray it on after the gym or something. It doesn’t last very long either. I get 5 hrs at most. Overall 7/10 Price 10/10

Me and my girlfriends absolutely love this cologne! Sometimes they make me spray it for them so they can pretend that they aren't single. For me, this is another one of the "male" scents that I like to wear to mix things up a little. The pineapple and blackberry helps keep the scent from being too masculine for me to wear on a daily basis, which is why I've been wearing this pretty often around campus. The musk, jasmine, and juniper comes out pretty strongly on me. I like wearing this to sleep because it makes me feel safe. It doesn't project very well and it either lasts a super long time or doesn't last at all. For me this scent serves its intended purpose given how cheap it is.

I never had a chance to smell Aventus, but I have experienced clone versions like MB Explorer and BR Black Walnut Legend. They all bear a very similar scent. Surprisingly, this one appears to be even more potent than BR Black Walnut Legend, which I adore. It's a great fragrance for a professional office setting, suitable for casual work attire such as a button-down shirt or polo shirt paired with dress pants. I believe it works well in all seasons, including winter. I snagged this for $12.99 at Burlington. It's a high-quality fragrance for the price, in my opinion. I'd rate it 7/10

It's a nice scent , Juicy, Seductive and Romantic. This smells similar to Aventus Creed but it has a dark, Smoky and dusty vibe which may come from the combination of the Patchouli , Oakmoss and Musk notes. It smells so good and very pleasant with reasonable price. It opens up with like fresh fruity and green notes in the background then dry down is mossy woody. If you try it, you will like it. English laundry London is perfect for the spring, summer and fall. I really enjoy it and I like English laundry London EDT for Men. Longevity is good. Thumbs Up. Rating : 8 / 10

I was so excited when I first saw this new offering from English Laundry. I’m a fan of both the company and Aventus-type colognes so it should have been a perfect marriage. Unfortunately, at least on my skin, the aroma last all too briefly. It is the scent that I had hoped it would be; juicy and masculine with decent sillage and body however it dissipates within minutes of leaving the bottle. If they were to solve the longevity problem this would easily become one of the top clones on the market. It would even be fantastic as it’s own stand-alone fragrance.

Smelled this fragrance while browsing at Marshall's today and without smelling any of English Laundry's fragrances, I knew exactly what this was a clone of. This is a clone of Creed Aventus. This fragrance is more fruity than the batch of Aventus that I have smelled. I didn't pick up this fragrance because I already have similar scents... but for $15, if you're looking for a nice fruity summer scent this is a great purchase. If you see this for under $15 at rack stores I recommend you scoop this up!

My first official wearing today, 08/14/2019. Definitely the same DNA as Aventus, so if you know what that smells like you'll have a good idea what this smells like. I would say it has ok projection and longevity, projects for approx 1.5 hours and lasts on the skin for 4 - 5 hours, and then if pretty much gone. This is easier to wear to work or in close quarters than CDNIM, but doesn't last anywhere near as long. This will be a nice one for work or casual wear. A great pick-up for $15 at TJ Maxx.

Picked this up for $8 at Marshall’s...and for that price, it’s an absolute no-brainer. This is an above average clone of the fruitier batches of Aventus. CDNI is more a clone of the smokier batches. I would put this in the same vein of L’Aventure...with less longevity. Longevity was maybe 5 hours. Projection was moderate. If you can pick this up for $15, and like the Aventus genre, London is a no-brainer. Spray heavy and spray often and enjoy.

English Laundry London EDT is a pleasant green citrus fragrance on my skin. The juniper and oakmoss lends a slightly male character to it but I do not find this overly masculine. It is an easy wear in the summertime and is an interesting scent. As a female, this is a sexy summer EDT on my skin. It has a slight dry feeling, like sawdust, but is sweetened pleasantly. Longevity on this English Laundry EDT is quite good in the summertime.

If CDNIM is the nuclear "Mike Tyson" take on Aventus, London is the dancing "Sugar Ray Leonard" take. CDNIM is rough on the opening, but London is fruity and light. CDNIM lasts and lasts, and London just doesn't. I suspect that if one were to decant some of each into a sprayer, the result would be a pretty spectacular take on the OG. Especially now that the OG just isn't what it used to be...

Found it very similar to Zara's Rich Leather (also "inspired" by Aventus). A nice fruity opening with a slightly smoky undercurrent. A good fragrance overall, but a bit redundant if you own Aventus or any of it's clones. Longevity on me is ok...better than Rich Leather, but not as good as Insurrection Pure II.

A decent inexpensive dupe of Aventus. Has the pineapple that everyone knows and loves. It goes about 4 hours on my skin. Don't expect a fragrance BOMB! I got mine for less than 12 dollars at TJ Maxx so if you find it at a great price you should give it a chance. Enjoy!

This is a nice cheap aventus clone. One reviewer said he gets 10hrs performance. He must be sweating aventus in a steam room because the bottle I bought lasts about an hour. Good car cologne because you have to reapply but hey it's cheap AF

The opening has a tart fruity bite to it which smells really good. I thought this was going to be a real winner, but the performance dropped off extremely fast! Maybe this will perform better in the summer.

Smells really good. For about $20, you can get 100 mL of a fragrance smelling like Explorer Montblanc. Longevity is weaker, but at this price, it's not a deal breaker.

If this is what Creed Aventus and CDNIM smells like then I definitely am scratching them off my want list. To me, this smells like ragweed. Hard pass.

Pretty solid clone of Aventus but the longevity isn't bad neither is it good. it's a pretty nice scent to wear regularly and is a good cheapie.

Yes it smells like aventus, It's better to get Armaf club de nuit. Its softer then armaf and projects less. But for 12.99 is a good price.

Closer to Creed Aventus than CDNMI in my opinion. Nice pineapple. Projection and longevity are not good.
