No 7

It smells like Preffered stock !!! This is nothing fresh about just musky old vintage green fragrance !! This is definitely the worst one of all of them with I own minus Crown, Aqua one!! Sorry it's a pass. I order 10 carded samples for 9.00 bucks I always wanted to try this it seem right up my ally,nah to vintage with no modern touches. If I see a bottle for 20 or less I scoop it up to complete my collection. I have back up bottles of some of these fragrances with I really enjoy but for no.7 its preferred stock 99.9%!! Didn't like this one at the first spray but after a while on paper I really warmed up to this. This would be best reserved for November/December up here in the PNW. Saw a bottle on clearance at a local department store. Might go grab and save it for late fall! 7.5/10

I own and enjoy most of the English Laundry line so I was really happy when I was able to find this one. However... I can see why this one was discontinued. To my nose No. 7 is spicy, but not in a good way; leathery, but not in a good way; and old-school, but also not in a good way. The note breakdown looks interesting but my interpretation of the scent is a stale, sharp green herbal headache-inducing spiciness that gives off the impression of rubber tires. I'm generally a fan of crowd-pleasing scents, so maybe this one's just not for me. If I try to approach the scent positively, I can see it as a very challenging vintage barbershop scent, or of a heavily food-spiced herbal peppery musk. It's a very, very unique masculine scent that is the complete opposite of mass-appealing, which is surprising for English Laundry. But yeah, I can't wear this one personally. I'll still keep it just to complete my English Laundry collection though. Or maybe if someone's interested in trading for this one I'll swap it with them. Let me know.

It worked great on me. It's a spicy cool herbal with no real aquatic notes, very unusual for a modern men's scent. They all seem to be bergamot/vetiver aquatics, which is getting boring after thirty years. No. 7 is nicely spicy, almost in a foody way, but crisp. Would be great for summer. AND Talked my husband into it and it's even better on him. Spicy, deeply golden, cool and fresh at the same time. It's almost a Christmas candle scent. I love this on him.

Nearly the same as, but a bit 'sharper' than 'At The Barber`s' by Maison Martin Margiela. Certainly a barber shop scent, but one that does it with herbal finesse. Its a sharp start, quite green with up front herbal notes and a rather bold medicinal quality. This all comes together 20 minutes in and settles to a nicely spicy, dry, basil-sage-lavender-pepper scent. Masculine, strong, lasting and decently projecting. Mature.

Is this even available anywhere? Fragrantica is the only place I can seem to find reference to this. It's as if it doesn't exist and all references to EL No.7 is the women's version. I want to try it but it seems like EL fragrances are all versions of other scents on the market, like London is basically Aventus, Crown is like Y from Yves Saint Laurent, etc.

Why are these all $14.99 at TJMAX/Marshals? What is the reason behind the the low price? I’m not justifying the price one way or another but would love to know the thought process behind it?

Axe Apollo right here... This and Windsor (not listed in this database yet) are my faves from English Laundry. Lasts barely 8 hrs on my skin. I like this one.. 9/10

Smelled on a paper strip: Has the same hideous aromatic notes as Aramis, which it resembles. I couldn't wear it.
