Royal Forest

My buddy showed me this cologne he picked up for 12 bucks at a thrift shop. I was expecting the usual artificial cheap fragrance, however this surprised me. Open very clean and fruity, drying down to a sweet honey/vanilla scent, with a hint of woodyness (oakmoss). It’s similar to PR One Million, which I was not a huge fan, however, this is a softer, more mature version (the wood helps), which definitely appeals to me as a freshy. Projection and longevity is enough to get a compliment or two. Safe for the dates, the office or most everyday wear. It’s a brilliant and complex cheapie. 8/10 scent wise, 8.5/10 value wise ($35), if you can get it for $12, snag it.

Genuinely such an appealing scent... there's something about it that feels exactly what the name is describing. The woodsy and bright notes invites this really androgynous yet masculine scent. My only gripe is that I feel the duration and silage could be a bit higher, but if that's your preference this is perfect!

I had this cologne for 3 years, it was one of my best school fragrances. Good longevity, it’s very mass-appealing while still having depth. Great cheapie find, good blind buy.

Creed – Aventus (specifically mimicking the fruitier, mossier batches rather than the heavy smoke batches). Longevity: 5–6 hours. (This is a "workday" scent that may require a mid-day refresh, especially in high-heat conditions). Projection: Personal Bubble. It stays within an arm’s length. It is designed to be discovered by those close to you rather than announcing your arrival from across a room. It leaves a light, clean trail that is inoffensive and corporate-safe. Weather Suitability: High Heat / Humidity. Its citrus and oakmoss structure prevents it from "turning" or becoming cloying when the temperature rises. The Opening: [Bergamot, Apple, and Pineapple] — A sharp, tart, and refreshing fruit blast. Unlike other clones that can be "synthetic" or "chemical" at the start, this opening is remarkably smooth and natural-smelling, providing an immediate sense of being "fresh out of the shower." The Heart: [Birch, Patchouli, Jasmine, and Rose] — The fragrance transitions into a dry, woody territory. The birch provides a very light "leather" touch, while the patchouli and jasmine add a green, earthy floral vibe that keeps the scent airy and upscale. The Dry Down: [Oakmoss, Musk, Ambergris, and Vanilla] — The finish is salty and mossy. The oakmoss is the star here, giving it a classic "barbershop" cleanliness, while the ambergris and musk provide a skin-like warmth that feels professional and grounded. Imagine the Smell: Imagine standing in a damp, shaded forest in the early morning while peeling a tart green apple and a fresh pineapple. The air is crisp, the ground is covered in moss, and there is a faint hint of clean wood in the breeze. It is "forest green and bright silver", it feels cold, sharp, and perfectly tailored.

#1392 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I've had this scent pretty much since it was released and just now noticed it finally made it into the database. But the notes shown are incorrect. From their website: Top Notes: Lemon, Grapefruit, Bergamot, Apple, Fresh ozone Heart Notes: Orange flower, Honey, Cedar, Leafy greens Base Notes: Amberwood, Patchouli, Oakmoss, Musk No idea what the hell "fresh ozone" even is. But this is a citric, woody-green. So the name absolutely fits. A likeable moderate performer like nearly all the English Laundry line, but makes it to lunch. Comes across like a better quality version of Royal Copenhagen "Sport Cologne" or a greener Mont Blanc "Legend Spirit" EDT, but it certainly does not smell like PDM "Pegasus" or Paco Rabanne "One Million Lucky." Car pool, elevator, small office safe. Use generously and reapply midday. Reasonably priced for what it is, Good for any use, any season.

I would describe it as 1M Lucky but weaker and with an apple note instead of a citrus note. The weaker performance makes it tough to use in the winter, but makes it more appropriate than the original for summer use! I save my bottle of 1M Lucky for nice occasions, but use this for daily wear in the summer and use Ishq Al Shuykh Silver for daily wear in the winter.

this is a very agreeable scent. its not going to knock anybody's socks off but it is very pleasant. safe for the office, safe for the club, safe for traveling. and for hte price, its quite hard to beat. very fresh, very relaxing, i enjoy this scent.

With a name and bottle like this, one might expect a very green, perhaps piney affair, and while there is a decently warm and woody base to be found you have to wade through a lot of fruity sweetness to get there. EL fragrances are very hit or miss, but when they hit they hit. This smells more expensive than it is, but it’s personally not a hit with me. It’s just not a profile I enjoy very much. But at $15 it’s not a huge loss. And please if you’re considering this one, do not pay any more than that. Also, the notes breakdown is missing quite a few notes, as per the back of the box the breakdown is almost identical to PR One million lucky. Opens with a lot of alcohol and apple settles into a honeyed amber and slightly woody finish. Performance is decent, though a bit underwhelming for an EDP.

Royal Forest is a hidden gem—especially for the price. Right off the bat you get this clean, sweet apple note that’s super fresh without being overpowering. As it settles, you start to pick up on a mossy, earthy green vibe that keeps it balanced and not too sugary. It’s perfect for spring and summer—light, refreshing, and easy to wear daily. It definitely gives me a similar feel to Aether, but this one leans a bit sweeter. You can also catch that same DNA as Greenley—fresh, fruity, and green—but again, with a slightly sweeter twist. Overall, if you’re looking for an affordable, fresh apple-forward fragrance with a clean green backbone, Royal Forest is a solid pickup. Does not last long the longitivtiy is very low max 2 hrs 3 1/2 close to skin smell does not project

Smells like straight alcohol and burns nose to smell. Very synthetic.

PR One Million Lucky clone. It’s a very beautiful fresh fragrance. Imagine if some one took Lucky and turned down the volume and shortened the life basically making it more office friendly. I own Lucky and this fragrance and wear this one when I don’t want the nuclear power of Lucky but want a similar DNA that smells identical only skin. Picked up this bottle for $15 and I’d suggest it if you’re considering purchasing.

Don't listen to the others, this is purely a synthetic blast. Smells like the Hollister storefront miasma in 2011, and that is the furthest thing from a compliment.
