Vanì Rhum

This was another fragrance from this house I sampled prior to making the decision to purchase a full bottle. It opens up with an enticing spiced rum accord, imparting a green, almost medicinal type vibe, likely influenced by the clove notes. As it develops, the boozy aspect takes a back seat, allowing for an absolutely fantastic and creamy vanilla to emerge during the drydown. It’s unique in its composition, and I genuinely enjoy it.

This is an okay fragrance compared to others in Epico line up. The initial spray is very green with davana, but it also has a strong boozy vanilla along with greenness which makes for a wired sensation. After the initial blast, the greenness steps into the background, but never quiet leaves and the scent becomes dominated by boozy vanilla that feels very synthetic (I get synthetic vanilla similar to the vanilla in Montal Sweet Vanilla). If I would be guessing the brand without knowing, I would have said that this is a Montal. Vani Rhum is clearly a fragrance for colder weather. I think it would smell fine off of a nice warm sweater or fur. Very unisex and performance is moderate all around for me. It has a very noticeable projection for the first hour or hour and a half and then very suddenly becomes quieter, but still present on clothes. It fades after about 5-6 hours.

at first, i got a very sharp green note from this one. mixed with slight booziness in the back... after about an hour or so, the greenness fades and your left with one of the most beautiful scents ever.. omg. its like shot of amber, vanilla, and a tinge of wood. i would love this without the super green opening
