Strength

This is absolutely beautiful! Strength starts off as a sweet and smooth tobacco with a touch of spice (even the spice seems sweet). In the mid, the honey and smoke join with the sweet tobacco accord which adds even more complexity to the composition. In the base, I get fleeting hints of pine wood popping out between the other notes (a woody and resinous pine note, not the green camphor of pine needles). Overall though, tobacco and honey are the name of the game here. A very classy scent indeed! Strength smells quite similar to Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, however, the sweetness here is more light and honeyed than dense and vanillic. TV is also more pungent (especially at the top). I have also compared it to Tabac Rouge by Phaedon and find TR has a sharper spice up top with the ginger, while the overall feel is more powdery. Strength is definitely more similar to TV than TR. Thankfully I am not getting the enormous performance others have gotten (as far as projection and sillage), lest it quickly become overbearing and cloying. I would say I am getting between moderate and strong performance. As for longevity, I am easily getting 8+ hours on my skin. I don’t like to spray directly on my clothes as I cycle through various fragrances regularly, but I can see this lasting for several days on fabric. Strength is a gorgeous fragrance and I definitely recommend lovers of tobacco notes to try a sample, should you have the opportunity. I’m glad to have it in my collection as I know it is getting harder to find now!

Warning: masterpiece!!! While not overly original, this is the definitive animalic honeyed tobacco supported by a noticeable musk (strangely swapped with "sweet notes" in the pyramid, as per Zegna's website). Probably the most masculine of the Elements of Man line. Unlike the 4 other fragrances of the EoM line, here Zegna takes some risks: it has an animalic note (honey/tobacco) and the musk is stronger than in Peruvian Ambrette, and the Oud (despite not being very strong) is noticeable and only lightly balanced by the honey.. If like me you're into oud/strong/dark things, go for it. Otherwise do not blind buy, and be warned this is no crowd pleaser, has quite strong projection, and thus is not office safe. Like a previous reviewer said, I don't see any similarities with TF Tobacco Vanille, aside of the tobacco note (at this point, it is similar to many other fragrances). Maybe TF Tobacco Oud... but just remotely. Fall/winter evenings, 30+ fragranticans who have open-minded friends. Edit Sep 2019: the EoM line has - already - been discontinued. I'm mourning the disappearance of this one. That said, despite my crush for this one, even if I knew it would be kicked out of Zegna's offering, I would not have bought a bottle because the pricing is too steep for what it was. Too bad!

@usas: yes there is musk in it, it is missing on the pyramid here, check Zegna's website. (It is strong at the smell). The honey is a note often assimilated as "animalistic" because of its sweet and sour smell. Accurate pyramid: Top: tobacco, honey, apricot Heart: oud, pine Base: smoke, musk You may be right though, I think we re not smelling the same fragrance, since Zegna Passion is kind of sweet and has an amber note (thus vanilla) in it. You may have been confused when testing it in the store. I have a sample and did a couple of full wearings of it. Have you tried it on skin or paper? (The musk note is in the base, so no chance to notice it on paper). I agree there's no leather in this one. I was referring to "risky fragrances" in general in my review.

I can see why people think that Strength is similar to Tobacco Vanille. However I think that Strength is superior to TV. For starters Strength has far better Longevity, and furthermore I find that the Dried Fruits note in TV is mildly astringent with an unpleasant metallic/synthetic edge to it. Strength is a delicious and warm scent, bringing to mind clumps of moist Pipe/Hookah tobacco and apricot preserves. I think that Zegna has introduced a fine fragrance to world. I would highly recommend this to anyone seeking a warm winter fragrance.

The Sweetness and Tobacco are done just right. It is a quality, linear, and smooth tobacco scent. No overdone of plum and cloves like in Franck Boclet Tobacco. No overdone of Tobacco-Hay like in MAC Velvet Teddy. It is less thick and rich compared to my 2020 batch of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. The projection is excellent borderline beast mode.

This is one of my favorite fragrances I’ve ever smelled the loud sweetness is blended perfectly with the tobacco, and just the opening seems to last forever. With then more of an amber woody dry down, but it’s unlike any I’ve smelled before. Lasts forever too. I’m really disappointed that it’s not not available anymore 10/10

Best I've tried for a while. People are right it smells like Tobacco Vanille but in a much refined smart way. Tobacco and honey is very well blended. Longevity is great I mean really great. For sillage I was scared to overspray it due to it's price but it's very good and I've received some compliments. Very well done Zegna.

I wish to have that thing in my life, I smelled, and there ́s not other woody fragance that smell like that. it ́s a unique fragance to wear, and when you, you ssmell like rich people, it ́s classy, powerful, makes you dominant above all.

This is excellent, I have TV which is obviously an inspiration for this but imo Strength is a superior fragrance in terms of both longevity and overall scent. It just has more going on. 9/10

Honey monster! Runs Hiram Green's Slowdive a close second for the nearest thing in perfume to the experience of drowning in a giant jar of the sticky stuff. I get hardly any smoke and only gentle tobacco later on - no pine or apricot or other accoutrements either - just HUUUGE HONEY, overwhelmingly high and saturated with floral notes - almost fudgey-sweet, garlanded with clover blossoms. Moreover it's the smell of a light, crystalline honey - not the liquid runny sort, more usual in perfumes, which can so often go urinous on skin - but not done mild or gentle AT ALL. This is far more overbearing and sugary than the usual aura of honey as found in perfume. So extraordinarily sweet that you can almost feel the crystals crunching between your teeth, and that it must surely be unisex; there's nothing here that even the most determined gourmand-lover could reject. For my personal taste it's too much of the bee, not enough of the tobacco plant; I like TFTV's more balanced recipe far better, and Phaedon Tabac Rouge's more modest pricing and more restrained aura even better yet. Zegna Strength is aptly named, as its projection and endurance are both as fierce and robust as any real-life honey bear, so no quibbles from me there. But this is definitely one to try before you buy, because it could well be much more syrupy than you can really deal with.

So clearly I forgot to post a review of this one but not because I favoured Some of the others I have penned reviews for. Strength I’d say was my third favourite from the line, and don’t be mistaken for thinking it’s dead bang mediocre in the middle because the two above it really were excellent. So comparisons to Tobacco Vanille are obvious as the big glowing neon reference point for sweetly honied, dried fruit, tobacco fragrances...and that’s what this is. I have to state for the record that there’s no way you’d ever mistake them for one another and that is to Zegna’s credit. I actually favour this over TV smell wise it’s somehow more easy going, still warm yet lighter, but performance, ballsoutness (yes!) and even price are all in Tom Ford’s favourite rendering stuff like this and Phaedon’s Tabac Rouge a touch redundant. Certain Genres I can’t write off in this way, ‘fresh vetivers’ for example I don’t just think oh I’ve got XYZ and that’s the pinnacle, I don’t need anymore. However some genres I do and that’s just my bad. If this was cheaper then for sure I’d give it more thought. I actually find the honey in this to be sublime, the Tobacco adds just enough, bitter, Woodsy qualities, the smoothness of the who affair is just lovely.

Strong tobacco, with smoke in the opening few minutes, The smoke feels like it is coming from the tobacco burning. For the next hour or two for me it is then almost overwhelmed by honey. Honey, honey, honey. A thick very dark buckwheat honey,that's had a load of caramelising sugar dropped into it. A honey complete with bits of beeswax and pollen captured in it - holding something faintly animal-like deep within its runny goo. Projection early is noticeable, though it doesn't trail much, later it lasts on the skin quite comfortably for 6 or so hours. It's likeable but, to my nose at least, I'd prefer a little more tobacco and smoke and a little less honey which has it running a little too foody, sweet for me. Update: At first I had felt it was fading but as the night went on this actually lasted on my skin for the best part of 14 hours so longevity is pretty massive.

Reminded me a lot of By Kilian's Gold Knight and maybe slightly of a very cleaned up Xerjoff's Mamluk. I think the scent is unique, and has a very dense yet radiant aroma. The fruity notes (apricot/peach) along with the honey take the stage. People mention smoke but I'm so used to incense fragrances that it didn't register to me. Now, I am not saying this is a bad fragrance, but it is way overpriced when you can get similar and cheaper offerings from By Kilian, with the same quality and intensity. Because of that I don't feel like I need it in my collection. Maybe a rich person who doesn't know much about fragrances would buy this on the spot because of it's unique, powerful, and beautiful opening. But seasoned frag heads know better :)

Daha sonra koleksiyonda aralarda kaldı ve kullanılmadı. Aradan gece üç yıl içinde parfüm tütsü-tütün-şeker üćlüsünden ibaret hale gelmiş. Kalite hissi ve rafine halinden eser kalmamış ve rengi biraz koyulaşmış. Kısacası parfüm ölmüş. Parfümleri iyi koruduğum için bu biraz kötü üretime işaret. Denk gelirseniz almayın çünkü artık üretilimiyor.

@Andy: are you sure your review is about Strength? Strength has no musk nor leather.. Not listed but not present either. You say it is animalic and stinky... hmm I wonder if we are reviewing he same fragrance. Anyhow, Strength is a lot like Tom Ford’s Tabacco Vanille. Very sweet, it has a little less of the tea note, which makes Strength a bit warmer. I like it, bit it is very strong. Do not overspray! 7,5/10

This smell ALOT like Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille with a hint of Tom Ford Oud Wood. Great smell but not original!

That joining a golden honey with the fleshy and juicy pulp of a ripe apricot that melts and enhances the intensity of the woods of 'oud and pine giving depth and a smoky appearance Chunky and slightly sweet. Oriental woody perfume Tobacco/Vanilla masculine; luxurious sophisticated and delicious. One of the best tobacco fragrances on the market, but unfortunately difficult to find nowadays. Perfomance Excellent!

I got sample today on ebay,and i think Zegna is much honeyed and airy version of 18.21 Man Made Sweet Tobacco Spirits and Tobacco Vanille TF.Honey,dried fruit,pipe-hookah tobacco.(Parfum concentre!) It's the perfect fragrance for fall and cold winter days,the longevity and silage is outstanding. AROMA - 10 LONGEVITY - 10 SILLAGE - 9 UNIQUINESS - 7 OVERAL - 8,9

Un air de Tobacco Vanille. Maybe this scent is more Velvet Teddy by Mac which is another clone of that Tom Ford. More fruity (dried plum like, cherry marmalade similar to Tobacco by Boclet, yes another clone) and sparkly, airy as someone below was writing. Nice sobstitute of love. A cologne version of the Model.

I tried both, Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille and this one at the same time. They are indeed similar, but TF's is drier and less sweet, better balanced. Strength EZ is sweeter and fruitier, you know this specific aspect of dried fruits in tobacco. For me it was bolder and thicker than TM, more like real pipe tobacco.

I smelled this entire line tonight along with House Of Sillage The Greatest Showman. Strength smells like a soft Pure Havane. Those sweet notes and honey does it and moves it away from the Tobacco Vanille for me.

Considering the fragrance licenses for Zegna and Tom Ford are both currently held by giant Estee Lauder, the similarities between their respective scents is surely no coincidence.

This is TF Tobacco Vanile + honey. Absolutely wonderful, dare I say it's quite a masterpiece. Very long lasting as well. I prefer this more than TV.

My go to perfume at night, always a compliment getter . Sadly it's not available anymore. Anyone with a bottle in nigeria willing to trade?
