Z Zegna Energy

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!! The opening freshness green/citrus, sparkling and tonifying is really fantastic: the best example of a energyzing (and sporty) fragrance; i don't detect nothing of syntetic (but surely there will be!), but only a green/yellow wave of energy (lemon leaf, mandarin orange, angelica and galbanum), not so bright (vetyver and oakmoss in the base notes); i don't detect well lavander, probably with geranium they soften the green/bitter opening, and give a very little powder feel; in the bitterness of galbanum i detect a little metallic nuance, however pleasant, especially in the warm climate. It's the best fragrance to open the next spring, and it’s perfect also in the hottest summer. Also the bottle is really gorgeous. Absolutely to try for the lover of green/citrusy/bitter scents. A fresh, clean and citrusy start. I actually like this fragrance but the performance is very very (VERY) weak. Barely lasts a few hours and that's what makes it a rather sub-par buy. Didn't expect this from the Zegna, A brand who are known for their exquisite items. Yes, there is a bit of slight skank in there as well. Will never buy again as there are better offerings at this price tag.

@usas You must have a fake. There is Zero vanilla in this. Marios4, your Assessment is spot on. The only thing i would exclude is the "little powdery feet". This is bold, Green, well rounded citrus. I don't detect anything powdery.

Z Zegna Enegy is a citrus, herbal, green fragrance. Its opening is citrus, with a strong green note, I suppose it will be angelica, it is quite fresh and practically without any sweet note. The fragrance does not show much change, but with time the slightly salty note of amber is perceived, as well as a little musk that provides a clean sensation. It is a good fragrance to wear during spring, summer, and maybe fall. Its smell is not wow, but it is pleasant, I suppose it was discontinued due to not having good sales. Its duration reached 8 hrs. without much projection.

Maybe my nose is a little off; however, I get a softer Boss Energise in the dry down. Otherwise, Energy is a safe, budget friendly scent.

I actually had Zegna Z on my wish list, but was kind of curious for Zegna Z Energy as well. Where I live, it is not possible to obtain a sample or even try it in a store, so I did a blind buy. Zegna Z Energy reminds me of Creed Royal Mayfair! It has the same floral expression, a bit unisex. Green, with a bit of vanilla (which is not listed, though). Z Energy turns a bit more musky in the end than Royal Mayfair, which gives the scent some charisma. Tad bit synthetic. Sillage and longevity are very good. I need to wear this some more in order to grade. Edit: just sniffing the sprayer makes me think of A&F Fierce. I think it's the musc and the green notes. A bit more musc though, a bit softer (in the veins of Dior Higher).

I must be trippin cuz there is this little nuance of stank in there! It performs like a Kenneth Cole....and sadly the name is a bit misleading. Ctirus yes but a very dialed down weird citrus....nothing bright or energetic about it. Thumbs down. Wont get past the 5mls I own and was really lookin for a citrus summer purchase.

I got a very good projection and longevity with this fragrance.. good citrus fragrance for the high heat since it has no sweetness at all.. a simplified leau d issey pour homme.. not the same smell but similar vibe.. i rather wear this since leau d issey pour homme is so floral in the drydown..

Negative energy!!! If you expect an uplifting, citrus/lime/mint scent, look further. This is an okay option for a early autumn scent, but the name says something completely different than the scent actually is. Not bad, just not energy. Lovely bottle though!

Fresh and uplifting, with a great tart backbone which I find pleasantly masculine and attractive. Too bad the performance is rather weak, but if you are into fresh scents and don't mind reapplying, definitely go for it.
