Z Zegna New York

This is my favourite of the 3 in the cities collection. Although all 3 are masculine, this one is the most masculine of all. I'm not sure what davana oil is, but together with the rum, it projects a very rugged boozy-leathery vibe that's uber masculine, brash and a little mature, but playful, and brings to my mind images of a 1920s jazz & swing club. Quality ingredients mean that performance is good as well. Suits all seasons, and like the others in the cities series, it would make a terrific office fragrance. Luvin' it. This is class and I recommend it, but certainly not as a safe blind buy.

Very unique Absinthe and Agarwood Aged Rum smell. Kind of dark scent, suitable for cold weather and specially night time given it's multiple boozy notes. This will smell kind of bohemian and decadent from all that beverage notes, but at the same time distinguished from that resinous woody note that resembles Oud. I love this one but beware because this is not a mass appeal scent, the opening is certainly surprising and could even be offensive to some people, however after a while it settles as a nice nutty/resinous wood scent that's not thick or overwhelming.

Chemical mess. Totally generic vibes with totally synthetic materials and totally forgetable. You might get astonished that they release this shit with another real beauty— Milan. It's probably the case that both the civilization and prosperity of Milan were hundreds years ahead of New York in the mind of Trudi Loren, the nose. Rating: 3.0/10

Addictive smell kind of unique with good longevity and sillage. It's a great fragrance with niche touches. Don't worry about the rum note you will not smell like an alcoholic :) It’s a compliment getter for sure my girlfriend loves it. It's boozy, woody and masculine.

Strong leathery & peppery opening, but settles down to a fresh, dry & subtle smokiness. I can detect maybe some faint booziness from the rum but if you didn't know it was in the composition you won't even notice it. Quite masculine dry down, kind of niche quality, potential signature scent for all occasions. More suitable for cooler months but can possibly get away with it all-year round. Reminds me of a few well known designer faves such as Bvlgari Man In Black, Lalique Encre Noire & Bentley For Men Absolute. Highly recommended if you love uber-manly scents...will impress the ladies & gentlemen alike for sure. It's a YES for me.😜👍
