Zegna Colognia

A very well put together fragrance that portrays the quintessential Italian elegance yet manly vibe. There is a zesty freshness from the opening from the Bergamot & Lemon yet it is somewhat tempered by the light and soft sweetness from the Cardamom note. From there after about 30 minutes or so, I get the Violet that's light with some floral accords and a very subtle powder like note that must be from the Iris. The top & mids are quite alluring with the deep drydown giving a traditional clean musk and woods vibe. This creation Zegna Colonia bridges the gap between Zegna Essenza & Zegna Forte. Light and airy with just a touch of richness & depth that can be worn anytime of the year for nearly every occasion. It's not a powerhouse of a fragrance but, it will linger on skin & clothing all day where others and yourself will catch some light wafts of this fragrance. Fresh elegance should never be overbearing nor obnoxious in a gentleman's fragrance game. Zegna Colonia exudes that elegance & sophistication as to not being obtuse and in your face screaming for attention and for the world to notice you. It's subdued and refined while still being contemporary and exhibiting Swiss Army Knife like versatility. One can still find some decent large bottles out there for under $70US but, the prices have been creeping upwards as of late with some being completely ludicrous in the near $250US range. Nowhere near worth it at that price but, pricing is a subjective thing and to each their own. Nevertheless Zegna Colonia has class and enough of a uniqueness to it that it's worth finding one as long as it's not priced ridiculously. A really good fragrance for anyone between 25 - 65 years that just wants the casual while simultaneously crossing into the professional vibe with ease. Good stuff.

Being the newbie I am, I didn't know that light, woody fragrances existed in such an excellent formulation as Zegna Colonia. I like deep, heavy, woody/aromatic fragrances so much that I would not be heartbroken to move to a region with a dominant winter climate...if nothing else but for the skiing and the opportunity to wear bold, heavy, mainly woody-earthy scents year-round. Zegna Colonia gives me a great woody summertime option to this end. Blind try and instant buy.

I got this only cause it was on sale Blind bought it Starts of generic modern citrus floral woody scent. I say generic because I won't be able to tell accurately if it's Colonia if I smelled it again. ( No unique attributes) But this does well what it has set out to do. It has a nice Neroli note Which is slightly similar to the one in Fleur De Male from JPG (very slightly) So this is COLONIA CITRUS check Fresh check Woody uplifting check Pleasing check Performance slightly below wht I would prefer but it is Called Colonia aka Cologne so I guess that was the motif. 4 hours Projection solid for the time it stays Compliments - ridiculous! This is very annoying because no matter how interesting,deep colognes i wear these light Freshies always Trump the heavier ones. In the clinic 4 nurses complimented me in 1 day Two of them made me write it down It was hard to spell ermendidmflo (lol) Zegna haha Overall 7/10 5-6 sprys Summer Any occasion

During the winter, I had tried Cologina and I found the aroma very pleasing for the summer months. After I sprayed it on my skin it settles you get this citrus/powdery vib with a spicy undertone. The notes used is neroli, galbanum as well a touch of musk working with cardamom creating a weird but nice vib making it fresh and clean. Longevity and Silage is moderate which is fine. If you layer it you can stretch it adding a couple of hours more. Overall thoughts, I don't find the quality of this frag less desirable because the frag doesn't project as some of the other's do. Finally, it lasts long enough on my skin, I have used it during the early spring and I've had several compliments. Rating this fragrance 6.5/10...★★★

Clearly inpired on Intenso, but for my liking much much better. Intenso, Code and other sweet scents although may look nice at first, is a risk for hot weather places. Almost every time they finish like you've been sweating for a while and didn't take a right shower. When I get a scent a much more light and I see how different and friendly it can be if compared close to the first version, I conclude that I really don't like that much Intenso, Code and others. Zegna Intenso looks heavy and woodier when is next to Colognia. Colognia has the sweet caracter of Intenso, but dries down to a fresh and more pleasant thing. Be it as it may, Colognia is still better on mild temperatures.

A cool, modern, classy fragrance. Yes it reminds me alot of other colognes. I want to say Aqua Di Gio and Issey Miyake combined to make one. I could see myself wearing this for all occasions. Its smells unique enough to stand out of the crowd too. Zegna also went thru its stages well, starting off with its mellow bergamot drying down to a semi-heavy musk and cedar. The price for it is great too. If i remember correctly its only 70 dollars for a whopping 4.2 ounces at Dillards.

For once, I have to agree with most reviewers that this is a "boring" scent. Boring can be good or bad. In this case it's pretty good. It is a nice limey scent. It reminds me a bit of CK One with lime, or Issey Miyake L'Eau D'issey. I dislike Issey and love CK One so it's right there in the middle somewhere. The lasting power is fantastic. Appplied around 1pm, and could still smell it when I woke up the next day. Might fit the bill for a non-offensive long lasting work scent.

I bought Zegna Colonia immediately after testing it on paper. On paper, it smelled of limes and a natural cedar. On the skin...hmm well the bergamot is highly present but the woods are quite faint. It's great, more for a mature crowd, but there's better stuff of this category on the market. Still, Zegna is a house to look out for. So far Intenso and Z Zegna have highly impressed me!

You had me at galbanum, violet, iris, and benzoin. Sheer soapy woodsy austere green cleanliness with slightly floral perks to keep it modern. The violet is leafy and the iris is almost biteable. At first I thought I was smelling vetiver. It's not listed in the notes. Vetiver or not, it scratches an itch nothing else can.

This is a fragrance that you're not regret about wearing it, it's fresh, classy and modern, many compliments when I'm wearing it, the kind of Summer smell.

Heureux mélange d'audace et de retenue. L'odeur se dissipe rapidement pour faire ressortir la cardamome. Achat spontané mais sans continuité.

A nice clean lighter/summer day variation on Intenso. Doesn't last as long tho.

Fresh woody lemon the start and the dry down is lovely but I hate the mid note

I had to write an update; after some months since my first moment for test this fragance my opinion had to change. I try it more and more, because in some part i found olfative elements really interesting. First, Zegna tried to move the Intenso version to a more "balsamic" way, the initial lines are very luminous and more direct, the medium moment is very stable, balanced and concrete but in direction to a lemony, dusty floral touch and ambary. Finally is really cute, manly, versatile and comfortable, a sunny aroma.

It's strts of with a strong, sour note that puts me right off. The drydown is much nicer but still boring. I don't feel that this scent has anything to offer but a spicy musk drydown, which Would normally be right up my alley, but it's a plain scent. I could not apply this scent to myself.

Very generic and simple, very close to Intenso, wich is a better fragance. light aroma with a weak lemony ambar base and some spices there. thats all.

The best lemon opening I smelled in a mans cologne. Blended well. I usually stay away from lemon scents, because they come off lemony household cleaner. Man this was a great scent that was masculine and slept on. That lemon/neroli blend with the rest of the notes, was elegantly captivating. A grown man scent for the late twenties on up. So many compliments. I came to review because saw it recently at one the no namer shops at the mall as I was looking for another fragrance. I couldn’t buy because the bottle was leaking slightly in the box

Received as a Christmas gift and the large bottle no less! I like it but...sillage, what sillage? Got to say it dissapoints there. Good for the work place. Reminds me of Calvin Klein One. Spring/ summer for sure. After a shower or early in the day but not as a date fragrence. Too many better for that. Clean and simple is the deal here.

Smooth classic “Colonia” style. Not overly citric and Zegna DNA is detectable. It’s getting very difficult to find. I may be open to swapping mine if you’re interested.

very gorgeous on 1st spray,the scent is ok but it doesn't perform well on my skin,sad.smell linear and powdery.

blind bought this, nice light, pleasing, and fresh. Not a strong smell perfect for work or anywhere.

I like a number of Zegna fragrances but this one is dominated by cheap white musk.Don't bother.
