Escada pour Homme Light Silver Edition

Escada silver light is a clean, nice smelling fragrance. It has that clean-herbal-fruity mix of the 90's. So it can be considered a bit dated now but it's quite inoffensive and relaxing. It is smoother and less herbal than aramis new west or estee lauder pleasure for men, less ozonic than cool water and less soapy than Trussardi light him. So it has its own personality but it's in the same league of the parfumes i mentioned before. Maybe i used too much the word "less" but i dont want to make you think that silver light is a bad edt; it is very pleasing and if you like the fresh colognes of the 90's it could be an easy blind buy. Good for spring and summer, for casual situations, great in the holydays next to the beach. Average performance, for 35 and up. Solid release! Escada Pour Homme Light Silver Edition is an aromatic, fruity, green, and aquatic fragrance. Its opening is aromatic, it looks like a mint infusion, accompanied by a fruity and fresh accord. After the first few minutes, the fragrance shows a floral and aromatic phase, this phase smells a lot like a flower garden, where lavender and jasmine predominate, but without losing the fruity chord, which gives it an aquatic sensation. The base or drydown of the fragrance remains aromatic and aquatic, but with a small dose of sweetness, which seems to be tonka bean combined with patchouli. The fragrance is versatile, it seems to me that it could be used at any time of the year and for any age, it could also be used on multiple occasions, outings with friends, with a partner or at work in the office, since the aroma is empathetic and not invasive. Its longevity with me was 8 hours. approximately, with good sillage the first hour. This fragrance reminded me a bit of Fan di Fendi Acqua, but it seems that both fragrances are no longer in production, which is a shame because they smell really good.

I know the notes are different but something about it kind of reminds me of a lighter version of the original Escada, only lighter, sportier and just a little less elegant. One way I always put it is this as the Escada for Spring/Summer and more casual dress while the original as the Escada was better suited for wearing dressier clothing in the Fall/Winter. Both are great and I'd give this a 9/10 all around. It's one of my favorites, along with the original Escada, Jaipur, L'Instant, Prada Amber and Lalique Homme.

Ten years ago I asked the daughter of a perfume-shopkeeper what her favourite scent for males was. She said "Escada", and I went out and bought this one. I love it until today, it's both fresh and deep, sweet and subtle at the same time. This hasn't been available for years now, I hope my bottle will never empty... *****

A gorgeous fragrance that i have loved for many years, mixture of apple, mint and vanilla, glorious, so glad i got a brand new one on ebay really cheap, hopefully casual friday next :-) 4.5/5

Now, when you try this in 2018 it may not seem very special - but I'm pretty sure it was special when released in 1997. If it seems reminiscent of something else to you, it's probably because it reminds you of hundreds of Axe/Lynx, Adidas and many other deodorants and body washes. The notes in this - and similar scents popping out at that very moment in history - have laid the foundation for how "fresh", "sporty" and/or "active" scents were composed for the next twenty years. Green and clean, it's a tad aquatic on a base of grapefruit citrus freshness with apple, mint, lavender, oakmoss and a woody patchouli. Really nice, but unfortunately nothing outstanding in today's world of perfumery.

I will agree that this is really a lighter,fresher version of the original.actually if you have the original i really dont see the point in owning this one.I do believe if you find the original too strong for you then this will do perfectly for all occasions not just for spring or summer but all year round.and yes,it does last but does not scream like the original .well if you overspray,you will get a headache and fits of sneezing but a couple of sprays should do fine. does this have the wow factor?No, I will say simply b'cos it's just a lighter version of an original which scores top marks in winter and cold nights.

A tangy green apple opening with coincideing with mint unfortunilty it does'nt last on my skin but i can only smell only distant wisp of Lavender i thought it was going to be an Evervesent scent but i expected an ordenary colonge nothing to whright home about.

not worth it . too expensive for it. Smells like original but watered down . good think a got a free vial . was planning to get a bottle but I will pass .

I've got it 5 years ago or so. It smelled nice at first "nose", but when I tried to wear it, it was absolutely awful. Severe headache and so on. I was very glad when I managed to get rid of this.

I found the alcohol smell with this fragrance disconcerting at first as it seemed to last longer than other fragrances. When at last it passed, what was left was fresh and fruity. If there is apple as the 'Fragrance Notes' indicates, it serves only to boost the citrus and really doesn't stand out by itself. The top notes are predominantly citrus: lavender creeps in not long after, and this makes it similar (at least for a short time) to Jazz by Yves Saint Laurent. It is a fragrance that is suitable for warmer weather. The main difference between Escada Pour Homme Light Silver Edition and Jazz is that the Escada has the citrus (grapefruit) as the stronger element in the top/middle notes whereas Jazz has the lavender. After about half an hour the vanilla becomes more obvious at which point it has lost much of its freshness and sillage. It then becomes fairly feeble and non-descript and after three hours is barely detectable, which is a pity, because its top and early middle notes promised so much.

My first job was at The Frarance Shop and I purchased this for my brother in like 98' and he wore this for literally a decade and loved it. This is a solid men's fragrance that if you're into this scent profile you should really try. The nice thing about "vintage" scent's is that you're not going to smell like everyone else and you can usually get good deals on these if they are still in production. If not, forget about it. A****les price gouge and charge ridiculous amounts for them where it's not even worth it, especially if they are in the old bottles which means they are also probably old and expired. Don't buy vintage citrus scents because citrus goes bad faster than any other notes.

I'm a big, BIG fan of the original Escada Pour Homme. But the fresh 'n fruity dimension of this Silver Light flanker does not hold par to or exceed the greatness of the OG. The very opening smells like the OG, but when the added accords take hold the appeal of the OG scent profile is lost. In fact, the minty shower gel/bodywash vibe gets mildly nauseating. A bit cloying. Does Silver Light's modified DNA equate to a ruined OG? Yea, I think so. Want a similar frag to the OG that's still in production, try the inexpensive Mr. Blass by Bill Blass.

An absolutely superb fragrance, a true rare gem. The muglers flanker as pure zest, pure shot and so on are ashamed by this one. It is similar with tue classic Escada Pour Homme in the DNA but sure, a different frag, suitsble for spring, summer and autumn. The wuality is a niche one, and it is not similar with other fragrances. Very good longevity -around 5-6 hours on my skin and good sillage. It is very expensive and exquisite but if you find it at a decent price it worth to have a treasure lile this one in your collection. Amazing.

I enjoy this light fragrance with predominant notes of Vanilla, jamsmin and citrus (at least on me).
