Escada Sentiment pour Homme

This is one of the three that I've owned and loved and all of those have been discontinued. It's really not the typical fragrance. Quite spicy, sweet-ish and open, easy and welcoming. Definitely not an overpowering blast that just encapsulates you. I feel like I can wear this at any occasion and it won't feel like out of place. That said if you're after some erotic, seductive scent this might not fit the bill. It's not bad for dating, but I've had others doing better job at getting ants in the pants for the ladies (and why not men, whatever you prefer). Then again those have been phenomenal, this is just good. But don't get me wrong, it's not one of those boring office worker fragrances either. It has a twist, a personality and it's definitely sexy-ish. It's a multi-dimensional scent. Maybe not the one you would choose for a thanksgiving dinner at your mother-in-law's, it still has this sense of seductiveness in it. This is summer nights. This is standing at the seashore feeling a slight tickle of wonderlust. This is fresh horizons and joy of life. For me Esacada Sentiment is quite interesting in all its positive emotional complexity. I'd really recommend you to give it a shot should you still find one at a store.

I think this is far from generic. You can sense the effort of them doing something with the aim of being popular but also having a personality and special vibe. Its a great juice because it achieves both. Synthetic? Ok! I don't mind. Its dark and fresh at the same time. The lime, pepper, juniper combo keeps it fresh and vital, while the dry down has a woodiness that provides a solid base and the nutmeg keeps it spicy. Whats important here the fact the its a UNIQUE BLEND, which does not aim to only smell fresh or citrusy, or peppery, or like a specific genre which so is popular these days (smelling like chocolate, coffee or a tiramisú. The blend they created is definitely a stand alone, unique and super special smell which sets itself apart from anything I know. Its also very sexy. Very sexy. Its urban yet maintains a juicy vibe as well. Love this to bits. Performance is satisfying also! One of my best blind purchases!

I purchased this for my husband, but more as a gift for myself. He simply has little to no sense of smell so he never wore fragrance before. I connect emotions and memories to scent so the first gift I got him when we were dating was a "signature cologne". He liked all the searching and smelling (almost to pass out level!) to find him his perfect match. This fragrance is very stunning on him. Hes an artistic geek who is kind of into fashion but also into snowboarding. What I'm trying to say is I couldn't go out and pick him up Polo Sport because it would've been too preppy, all-american, football guy on him, Chrome by Azzaro wouldve been too Harley Riding tough guy. I suggest this scent to men with a sensitive but sexy side. Someone not afraid to be different. And maybe someone whos finding it hard to find a less macho scent without being overtly feminine.

This was another signature scent for me in high school and for a short time in college. Since then I've owned 2 more bottles, a 50ml I bought maybe 10 years ago and a 100ml purchased more recently. Unlike those before I can definitely tell this has been reformulated and we just hate when that happens. However this stuff has always "just worked" for me on an everyday grab and go basis. While being something basic it always had a unique factor to it. Jackfuit being an accord in the mix of a sweet/fresh aromatic with a hint of a barbershop vibe explains a lot because I never really knew exactly what separated it from the other's at the time not to mention Dominique Ropion had a hand in creating it. I'm so glad to be able to still get bottles as cheap as they are!

It is a nice fragrance for spring and summer nights. Relatively fewer sprays can be good for summer day too as it's easy to wear - refreshing in hot weather, warming in the cooler weather, good for a blind buy. Fresh, fruity, zesty and it has some slight woody and spicy notes. Office friendly, in my opinion even women can still wear this fragrance easily as it has some sweetness. It was ahead of it's time as it smells modern to this day. Moderate sillage and longevity. People who prefer thick dense scents or prefer a heavy monstrous sillage can avoid this.

My first memorable fragrance.. got it when I was nearing 16 and I'm 21 now. Wore it on the first few dates with a girl I liked at the time. Fell in love with this scent along the way because that girl is now my wife. I wore it throughout our rendezvous. She also adores scent. It's fresh it's clean it's happy and I love the juniper berries, lime, and geranium combo. I love how it reminds me of our first few dates together so vividly. I still have the same bottle and the quality hasn't deteriorated. Repurchasing this forever! Just wish it lasted longer :')

Does anyone notice the similarity between Escada Sentiment pour homme with Dior Higher? Regardless of what's listed in FR, I smell pear and peppers. The difference between both is, ESPH feels a bit warmer (24-32 degrees Celcius) and DH is minty colder (10-21 degrees Celcius). I also smell light vetiver, sandalwood, incense in the background; which add more warmth and depth to it. Projection and longevity are of average. Very versatile; day and night, or four seasons. Perhaps my most favorite Escada fragrance for men. -AB-

I didn't feel anything woody with this perfume, I don't know why it's classified like that. for me this a softly sweet, and fruity scent that I enjoyed a lot. no one asked about it to me but I it made me happy on everyday I used. different from all the other scents, sentiment has a very soft and uplifting opening with weak sillage and and moderate longevity. up to now, I didn't smell anything like this, may be Davidoff Relax, but I am not sure. Why Davidoff discontinued it, I have no clue. Overall, I recommend !

I love this fragrance, it oozes style to me and seems to last all day as well. I especially like the sweet / spicy top notes which dry down into a beautiful fruity / woody scent.. very sexy I'm told too!! I do get a lot of compliments when I wear this... I bought this when I was living in a cooler climate therefore I now use it far more as a night time fragrance, and it seems to work equally well for formal or casual occasions..

Maybe because it's 5 and a half years old(2016 batch, based on Checkfresh lot #), but damn do I wish this projected a slight bit more and lasted longer. Still a solid fragrance though. This is definitely distinguishable from other men's fragrances. Nice pepper(kind of like pimiento pepper even though pink is listed) on the drydown that blends smoothly with the ever present sweet and woody scent in Sentiment.

Requiem for a beloved one: It's always sad when a bottle of a discontinued fragrances empties. But today is the day of the last spray. I always appreciated this one's combination of freshness with filthinss. A slight note of naughtiness makes this one of Dominique Ropion's finest. It is and naturally forever will be one of (many) scents of my youth. Farewell. ****

I have no idea why this fragnance is called woody. for me Sentiment is a fruity and floral fragnance; actually was too different than any other alternatives. most popular men's fragnances are either spicy, woody or fresh. only this one was such sweet and fruity. I always felt good when I spray this in the morning. I really miss sentiment dude ...

Lacoste style in play for men not boys. Strangely that and joop pour homme for men not grandmas... those are some of the only few fragrances that i can say this reminds me of but this is wayyy better to me. Nostalgia central for me.. nomad cologne has that type of nostalgia with me but again, not as much. One of my personal favorites.

another good fragrance from escada..i love the opening in this.a lil spicy and sweet at the same time.and also fresh. i love the dry down..it last quite long in my skin.about 6 to 7 hours..as it dries down..i can smell the hint of pimento, which is marvelous..its good for fall or winter, but i love to wear it as everyday casual..

A wonderful balance between fruit and floral and juniper. A most distinctive fragrance that stands away from the crowd. Refreshing and self-assured. It is light, but not in the vein of so many uninspired modern "fresh" men's fragrances; it does have substance, a body. Worthy of a signature fragrance.

Bought this 6 years ago in Dubai and soon after purchase, its nozzle developed problem and it wouldn't spray properly. Got it rectified just a few days ago and was surprised to see that the smell and lasting power hasn't changed one bit. Very strong and long lasting fragrance that I love wearing

i don't care about the poor longevity and weak projection. i just adore this one from the bottom of my heart. freshness from the berries, darkness from the woods. pure romantic beauty. and nothing comes close to it. 10/10. soundtrack: cocteau twins + harold budd - the moon and the melodies.

This is such a great fragrance. Got a sample and I instantly fell in love with it. As I remember, the jackfruit is very prominent in this scent along with the pepper and lime. I tried to preserve as much a I can of the sample that I had. Sadly, I believe this one is discontinued.

Again, this is sheer brilliance and one of the best kept secrets out there. 5-8 sprays (mainly on the body) and it will perform with the body heat the entire day. Subtle freshness with a sexy dark kick. Its a second skin type of fragrance. Signature material here! LOVE!

I agree with some comments, at the beginning it is a lil feminine, but then, after some minute, it turns into a sweet, masculine, attractive scent. Another turn on is, that it is not worn by every single man, at least I didn ́t find anybody who wears this. Excellent.

Interesting that some think it smells cheap... Well, I never thought of it as cheap but I had some doubts about this one as well. I gave it some tries and now I like it because it's both sweet and light. Perfect for relatively cold summer days. ****

Very manly, but sensuous fragrance. It feels warm, musky and deep, yet quite fresh at the same time. To me it smells a bit like leather, a brand new leather jacket perhaps. One on my all time favourites, absolutely love it.

Lovely fruity-spicy scent. Great for every season, just that it does not last long. It is tropical, yet super stylish, fresh, yet sensual. I love it. If only it lasted a little longer.

I bought this in the early 2000's when I would buy a bunch of colognes but rarely ever wear them. It's def a great scent and don't know why it isn'd made anymore.

PS: after a full day of wearing this juice,I can tell that its very potent with excellent longevity and above average silage & projection! Very good performance!

One of the favorites. This is really underestimated... Warm, sensual, spicy, sweet, night... Only nighttime for me and it's 10/10!

What can I say I am a sucka for a nice freshie. This is nice, lime and juniper berry forward fragrance that almost comes off as green especially with the vetiver dry down. Is it top tier, no, is it casual yes it is. It's a dumb reach, white t-shirt jeans and sneakers run errands on a hot summer day fragrance. Performance is mild to moderate, projection around 1 foot, longevity is actually pretty decent if you count skin scent, as I get around 6-7 hours or so and the scent does change in the far dry down. Decently priced, not unique so much in profile but unique in the sense that you are guaranteed not to have anyone around you wearing this fragrance. There's almost a hairspray essence to it, but not necessarily in a bad way. It comes off as fresh, citrus (good lime) and greenish, so the bottle is a bit confusing because there's nothing about it that's red. That being said I doubt you will find anyone around you that this would offend as even with the notes being known for sharpness, this doesn't come across as sharp. I've heard a few people say it's a clubbing fragrance and I don't see it at all. I also don't think this comes off juvenile or young. When I think of young I think Eros, Fierce, invictus, sauvage, but this is closer to gntonic and ck one essence. Honestly for the price and if you are a fan of fresh fragrances, give this a try. Rated it a like, performance and quality bring it down a notch, but that being said I am happy to own it.

I found it for a very cheap price so i thought "why not?". The notes reported are correct, it opens with juniper berries and lime, then u can detect cedar, a soft nutmeg and pepper. The blend has an energetic and pleasant taste, very syntetic like the energy drinks. At first i was not so impressed by escada sentiment but more i wear it more i appreciate it. Not groundbraking but unique at the same time, this juice it's not easy to categorize. It can be casual because it's not a conservative smell, but u can use it for work as well. Nobody can say it is bad but i dont think you can turn heads with this edt. The performance on me it's not Amazing, 4-5 hours of longevity with a soft projection in the first hour. The best seasons for escada sentiment are fall, spring and early Summer. Blind buy only for a cheap price. Escada sentiment è un edt gradevole, non indimenticabile ma che comunque ha la sua personalità. This is very fresh yet warm smelling. I don't quite know how to properly explain the scent, but it reminds me of fresh chopped green peppers (the kind that is used on pizzas) with a nice warmth from woods in the background. This is a very refreshing scent, but I wish it was longer lasting. I can smell the pink pepper, juniper, and lime, but it blends together so well that it makes me think of a different kind of pepper. After a few hours, it becomes a lot warmer, yet still fresh, probably due to the woody notes starting to come through. This is definitely a good blind buy if you are trying to get something for warmer days, or need a fragrance for a picnic on a hot summer day. I wore it out at work, and one of my coworkers, one that did not like a handful of the fragrances that I normally wear, did like the scent of this fragrance. At first, I was on the fence about whether I like it, but I definitely would say I do now. It grew on me. I am beginning to think I might have to change my vote to "love" soon. After I did some cooking with green peppers, it still reminds me of the smell, but it doesn't smell the same. It must be the pink pepper mixed with the freshness of the juniper. Regardless, at the time of writing this review, it is currently one of my favorite freshies.

For the price, this is pretty good. The fruity-juniper note is unique and enjoyable. Smells a little like shampoo. There are however two problems: (1) it is very weak. There's little projection (only a few inches off the skin). After 2 hours, it's nothing more than a skin scent. Wish it lasted longer, but you can always just respray after one hour or so. (2) The opening reminds me a little of scented nail polish remover, the kind teenage girls often use. It's a fruity acetone smell in the opening. Thankfully, it goes away a few minutes after the initial spray. If you can get this fragrance for between $20 and $30, it's pleasant enough to warrant a look.

Smell profile is very good. Silage while it lasts for about 2 hours or so is moderate and then skin scent. It has a clean smell profile. To my nose it is more aromatic than woody. Office safe and a year around day/night fragrance -- may not have enough power for very cold days though. For the price, it is really good! I don't get the trend of water downing everything in the market; it is so disappointing. This could be a much more likable fragrance if it kept its old punch. It's cheap so you can carry it on you and keep spraying it as needed.

This does have quite a bit of Aventus (or Aqva Amara) resemblance in the opening, but replace pineapple with berries & juniper. There is also a bit of a metallic-body-spray note to it, which makes sense as it was meant to be cheap. Projection on me is strong for 1 hour and fades away after 3 hours. It's a good cheap fragrance, but since it's not cheap anymore, there are lots of good replacements of this made today.

Underrated. Wearing this, nobody is going to be smelling like you, and I think with a nice business casual attire you'll even get compliments. Doesn't smell dated at all, but it is a bit on the softer side, in contrast to the more bombastic freshies of today that command tons of attention. Some will be dissatisfied with the performance, but if you can look past that, it is a fragrance that's genuinely interesting.

I tried this one in a perfume store. It's fairly good for my taste but nothing special that made it irresistable that i had to buy it right then & there. It's a very versatile scent IMO, can be used at night & day, hot or cold weather. I'd like to purchase & use one sometime, it's not at the top 3 on my list of next fragrances to purchase.

Maybe it's just me but it has the vibe of a body wash/ modern day barber shop/ afyer shave. Not the typical classic lavender based. I just can't see it dressed up or dressed down. Dont get me wrong it smells good but imma be using this solely after a shower and if I'm staying home

Starts off a bit synthetic but settles down to a fresh, almost aquatic(?) juniper. Juniper is the main note here with a hint of spiciness. Your nose may vary but I get none of the woody notes others mention. For me this is a warm weather scent - spring/summer only. A strong like.

Great scent, very fresh enough to transport u to magical world of fresh fruits and green lands, but unfortunately for only 30 minutes then disappears.. Very disappointed..

This is actually a unisex perfume but then the idea of unisex was not very popular.

I was disappointed because I wanted to like this. I think I'm nose blind, it smells like alcohol with a slightly lime peppery smell. Idk if I have a weak batch. At least the bottle looks cool

A previous reviewer said this has the smell of green peppers in it. I agree with that statement. It reminded me of the aroma I get when I cut up green or red or yellow peppers when cooking. It's like a soft, sweet but still herbal pepper smell. However, it's done in a synthetic way. Maybe if you spend more time with this fragrance (and I mean months not just a few days) you might pick up something else if you try hard enough. I really wanted to like this fragrance because of some of the glowing reviews I read down here - but my honest opinion is that this is closer to the "4 out of 10" review that Redolescence gave this as opposed to anything else. This was going for about 55 CAD when I got it (I'm returning it)...you can get better compositions for that price from Rasasi or another house. YT channel - The Scentrovert
