I Am Vanilla

A subtle gourmand, not overly sweet and edible. Inspired by a classic swedish summery cake with vanilla, strawberries and cream. It does smell like cake, just not the overpowering and super synthetic kind that many gourmands are. It works really well during the summer, it's fairly light.

Got a bunch of sample vials from Essnce - I wore I Am Vanilla when I dressed up as Barbie for a costume party. It's got that perfect ultra-girly, sweet, plastic doll head vibe. It smells really good if that's what you're after! This perfume lasts forever and fills a room.

I smell a lot of patchouli, where’s the patchouli?! At first I didn’t like it too much, cause it reminded me of artificial strawberry car fresheners, but it kinda matures with time and gets slightly deeper and more interesting! And no it’s not at all like Kayali perfumes.

first application (sample) was a patchouli bomb imo and the fruity sugary part is really short. the drydown is like milk, brown sugar and strawberry jam but it's not that sweet. im barely getting vanilla.

This has been one of my most used fragrances for daily wear since I got it, it's a perfect mature subtle gourmand in my opinion. First it smells like a meringue strawberry pie, but fresh and not too sweet. The drydown has that Vanilla 28 brown sugar with added strawberry on top. May I dare call it a masterpiece?
