Beautiful Belle

First off, I love the clear glass bottle. This fragrance, to me, is more than just a Beautiful flanker. While it has some of the 'Beautiful' factor going for it, it stands alone as a modern but at the same retro/vintage perfume. For you to not only appreciate this fragrance, much less love it, you have to be into florals. This is a floral bomb. At the same time, it's a subtle scent and not a bomb-bomb either. The opening notes are fresh and citrusy with orange blossom and mimosa. The yellow floral aspects come through first within the first couple of minutes. A bright, sunny yellow flower-forward scent. It evokes the image of a park in the middle of a city (as in Central Park; but any city park) in the warm summertime under the trees of yellow flowers. It has distinctive green notes and herbal nuances. I suppose the green stuff I detect are the shrubs and leaves of both the orange blossom and the gardenia. The white florals gradually open up but later in the performance. Then it's no longer yellow floral but a real sweet white floral character: gardenia and tuberose. This is the finest but yet subtlest non-offensive pairing of two of the most aggressive florals that are otherwise bombs for your nose; gardenia and tuberose. These are shy white florals; dainty and sweet, lady like, elegant. The rose also adds to the sweetness. The litchi is most obvious as the fragrance begins to get into the dry down. It's a delicious fruit, almost tropical, with a tangy nearly pineapple like flavor. But it is straight up litchi. The marzipan is the one note I cant pick up on. If others can, that's them. To me the litchi is the real sweet factor of this scent. It brings the whole thing together into a atypical feminine perfume. It is mature-hearted; meaning a woman in her 20's can pull it off. But it is more for a woman over 30 or over 40 and up that has an attachment to florals. The perfume is classy and expensive smelling. Because it is so floral and sweet, it is better in the spring and summer months. At times, too, it gives of that powdery cosmetic, for women only - make up, perfume, woman at her toilette type of vibe. This perfume is an all purpose scent. That means it can be formal for weddings or other formal events to be worn with a pretty gown or dress; lunch with the girls, shopping, going about your day and smelling good kind of perfume. It's just a feel good woman's perfume. Downside: the scent does not last very long. While it is strong enough to be smelled in all it's glory and all it's facets, the dry down comes too soon and the whole thing is gone in less than one or two hours which is not long enough to really enjoy it as a traditional perfume. It could have lasted longer and had better projection. One needs to reapply many times through the day to really enjoy it. This is also very much a department store perfume; meaning that it is not a specific boutique smell i.e. Chanel, Dior, but the kind you definitely get at a Macy's or Sephoras. I bought mine at the JFK airport Duty Free Shop. I did not have a good experience with the sales lady that sold it to me. She was the only one working there that day and had an attitude. I was in the section where you have past the security checkpoints and you wait for your flight before boarding and she was still suspicious about me; like I was going to steal some perfume. Maybe others have stolen perfume from that shop in the past; but she was not supposed to ask for my boarding pass like I didn't have it. How did I get there if I didn't have it for God's sake. I also did not like that she asked where I was heading to like it was none of my business. She must not like her job at all. But the experience with the perfume itself was wonderful. It is a gorgeous perfume. I did blind buy it. There was no way of smelling it on a blotter but it was a happy and successful blind buy. I recommend this fragrance to fans of florals; particularly yellow and or white florals, and fans of sweet womanly mature scents. I also was quite hooked when I read the reviews here on Fragrantica as I looked at my phone before I bought it; particularly the ones that described this scent as evocative of Disney princesses Aurora and Belle. I think this is more Belle, not Aurora. Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) would be more rose-centered. She was Briar Rose and she sleeps with a rose over her folded hands during her sleeping spell. The fragrance would smell more 'pink'. This one is yellow and creates the image of Belle in the yellow ball gown she wears to dance with Beast. At the same time it is calm and soothing, garden-like, giving off the Belle in the French countryside or in a garden vibe. This is just so beautiful. Hello from Deco Dawn, I hope everyone has enjoyed the Summer and is looking forward to Christmas 2018. This is my review of the 'New' Estee Lauder Fragrance Autumn 2018 Beautiful Belle. I tested this at the airport in October and I loved it. I now own 2 small 4ml bottles as I like to trial all new launches and tiny bottles are ideal for my Xmas party handbag. Review A lot of thought has gone into the marketing & design. Lovely packaging. White box with Gold Edging. Looks very classy. Bottle is a glass square with etched design on front with gold accents to spray and lid. 30ml is handbag friendly, larger bottles 50ml and 100ml are perfect to adorn any ladies dressing table. Price ranges £52, £72, £99. Upon first spray Belle reminds me of two Classic Estee Lauder classic fragrances, 'Tuberose Gardenia' and 'Intuition'. Product is made of high quality ingredients. Belle is a combination of the two fragrances. Kind word of warning to potential buyers Belle does not resemble the original Beautiful at all, in any of its previous incarnations. So test before blind buying is advisable. I would class this fragrance as a Floriental. White floral explosion opening, fresh and flowery, the heart of the fragrance is Tuberose & Gardenia and with a Musky, sensual & sexy Drydown. Aerin Lauder is the creative Director. Romantic but modern, stays very close to the skin, radiates within arms length. I would use this fragrance during the daytime as very polite, inoffensive & office friendly. Very long lasting 8 hrs plus. Classy, sophisticated and smells very expensive. Very Estee Lauder. An ideal gift and perfect for the lady in your life. Age range IMHO due to the price tag classy ladies that lunch who can afford it. This fragrance will be a huge success, purchase and buy the Blockbuster make up set for Christmas 2018. Don't just try it buy it. I love it. A big thumbs up from Deco Dawn. xx

I don't have any experience with the original Belle, so I don't have any attachments or bias in that regard. All I know is that I love heady tuberose and sweet white florals; and I am drawn to scents that combine them with a musky or woody base, which usually increases the lasting power on me. So in that regard, I really do enjoy this fragrance. The first tuberose-heavy scent I acquired this year is the Gucci Bloom EDP and Beautiful Belle by Estee Lauder reminds me of that scent, at least in regards to how it reacts to my body chemistry. On my skin (particularly my neck and chest), Beautiful Belle and Gucci Bloom are near duplicates. I can really pick up that woodsy-tuberose combo that vacillates between sweet floral and deep floral. They both have an intense sillage that can really engulf a small area and leave a trail. But when I smell Beautiful Belle on a note card or the skin on back of my hand (which reacts differently than the skin on my neck, for some reason)...Estee Lauder reminds me more of Woman by Ralph Lauren. Ralph Lauren Woman is a bit more feminine, a bit more girlish and the same can be true of Beautiful Belle, depending on how your skin reacts to it and how it emphasizes certain notes. If that marzipan is emphasized for you and highlights the creamy sweetness of tuberose and gardenia in the middle notes, it is going to be candied and perform as if a perfumer added some citrus-floral notes to Pink Sugar by Aquolina. So it all comes down to how this reacts to your skin, which is true of all perfumes. Based on my experience, it will either perform as a girlishly sweet floral with a slight depth, or a deep and heady floral that skates the fine line between classic and overly mature. The latter is what I get and I actually love that. So this perfume is a win for me.

Love this so much! Gifted myself a full bottle for my 30th birthday as a transition scent. My husband called it “sexy grandma” because it does have some maturity to it after all the vanilla heavy gourmand younger scents I’ve worn. But it’s not “old” by any means. My little daughter loves it too! She breathes it in deeply and always says how good it is! Awesome lasting power. On clothes I can still smell it the next day. It’s different then my previous fragrances and that’s exactly what I wanted for a transitional scent. It’s not for wintertime. I love gardenias but usually not in my perfumes...however - this one changed my mind! As a huge lychee lover, I love the juicy lychee opening. Then the beautiful white florals come through. And the dry down is so unique with that creamy “white chocolatey” marzipan but then it’s balanced and matured with the suede note! Similar to leather but different. It bugged me at first until I realized what it was and then I really enjoyed it. Funny enough I was wearing my suede shoes when I realized what that note was too. It just all makes sense together and works well with the tuberose. It performs so good on a hot day. Makes me feel beautiful and happy. There is a real romance happening with this one. The feeling of being in love and feeling good in your own skin. And the feeling of being surrounded by white flowers on a beautiful sunny day. That’s the picture that comes to mind when I smell this one. Definitely a good wedding choice too.

My mother’s garden was a riot of colours and fragrances, with jasmines and frangipani and roses and tuberoses all vying for attention. In a quiet corner, quite by itself, grew a gardenia plant. For the rest of the year it didn’t really play a contributing role, but come spring, it burst into blooms, perfuming the air itself with its heady scent. On spring evenings, particularly after an unexpected bout of rain, those gardenia blooms seemed to glisten and sparkle, spreading their fragrance all around. Beautiful Belle captures the essence of those gardenia scented spring evenings to perfection. The first whiff is just as heady as the real deal, and as it settles down, it becomes softer, quieter and less persistent, but still very much, well, beautiful. This is a walk on dew soaked grass, bare feet, in a white dress and hair let down, feeling the breeze caress your skin. I don’t get much of the other notes (what marzipan? What litchi? Where is the rose?) Instead all I get is a harmonious gardenia through and through - dulcet and creamy. Wearing this tonight as a sort of “palate cleanser” from the heavily gourmand perfumes I have been testing, and loving the soft white cloud that seems to be following me everywhere I go.

I love this. I love it so much that it may become my signature scent and I have not had one of those in a long time... not since the older formulation of Coco Chanel. When oakmoss was outlawed it ruined coco for me. Anyway why do I love this? It’s a light sweet gardenia tuberose scent, with a unique marzipan twist. I am a white floral lover so I think that’s also why I’m partial to this. It has like a tangy zippy sweetness. It doesn’t last terribly long - especially not for the money - I would say 4-6 hrs. But I love the scent so much I bought a full bottle anyway. This doesn’t really remind me of the original beautiful at all. I worked for Lauder when the original Beautiful was launched and I never really liked it. I just felt overwhelmed by the rose in it. And then there was a weird sour base. It just wasn’t for me. This fragrance, this is for me. EDIT: By the way, I’m NOT OLD. I’m really tired of people labeling perfumes as old people scents. And even if I were old, I wouldn’t care. When I smell this I get a sense of happiness and euphoria.

I think this is one of the most body chemistry reliant scents I own, and I'm beyond glad it works for mine. On some people, this scent can be extremely generic where the marzipan doesn't really shine, and the tuberose really takes over and bo can happen. On me, the mimosa absolutely shoots out of me before it becomes a sweet and creamy gardenia musk scent with a touch of nutty sweetness. I find beautiful magnolia works on nearly everyone,but often smells a bit generic (lovely though) where as this one has a habit of smelling amazing or awful on people. Og beautiful on me.....like trying to fit size 12 feet in size 4 shoes. Definitely worth a sample before you settle on a bottle! I think this scent can work all year, due to its dual fresh and sweet nature. It's a unconventional Christmas scent given the marzipan and general sweet almond smell. It's also a wonderful spring scent from the blossoming florals that make up the other half of the scent. Will this be a signiture scent for me? time will tell

I recently ordered this perfume after finishing my mini sample one. I have been looking for a signature everyday easy to wear perfume for a long time now. I have my L’interdit and Donna Born in Roma type scents, and while I love them, I find that I don’t reach for them on a daily basis. I tend to wear those kind of fragrances more in the evening or on a date night or going out. Beautiful Belle is supposed to be sweet, and it is, but I actually smell something slightly bitter in it, and it offsets the sweetness. I can imagine the most gorgeous white blooms in a garden on a sunny day. It has almond like powdery dry down and at times I smell more suede. I retried this recently in the winter and has fallen in love with it. I love white florals, and most recent designer scents do not seem to delve into that profile. This one is a great modern white floral! The projection is mild to moderate, but you can still smell it around a bit. It’s becoming a favorite so far.

Beautiful Belle by Estee Lauder 💫 There are not many reviews about her on blogs but I decided to blind buy her going through the notes; and I was safe. 😌 What shall I say about this timeless beauty? She’s white floral goodness mixed with musk and powder blend and little bit of sweetness that is very distinctive for me. This one totally reminds me of Belle in “Beauty and the beast” with her yellow vintage dress and dancing in the ballroom; flowing like an ethereal angel with the gentle music with the lightness of her heart; just being happy! For my surprise this lasted me for a long time on skin and on my clothes too for good 8-10 hours which I honestly didn’t expect with the mild sillage this has. * Longevity: long lasting * Sillage: mild to moderate (depends on the number of sprays) For me this was such a vintage vibe with the bottle itself and the dried down notes of musk and suede really captivated the floral notes beautifully!

The opening of Beautiful Belle is a blast of florals and delicious marzipan, ambery depth and orris. Setteling down it reveals an airy freshness that keeps this fragrance from feeling too heavy. It's a bright, sweet and cheerful scent. To me it's a yellow orange in color, in case that makes sense to you. In these qualities it reminds me a lot of Lalique Soleil. Some of the notes are quite the same, but there's also differences. Soleil, both in the opening and drydown, is a bit stronger on the gourmand aspects, where Beautiful Belle remains slightly more elegant. The packaging and bottle are both beautiful and I got Beautiful Belle at an affordable price, so that's another plus. Since it's so similar to Soleil in some regards, I'd probably just decide for one of both in the future.

“I’m busy, I’m capable, I’m beautiful, and I have a little bit of a sense of humor. I have work to do, so the fragrance will do the talking.” Everything you’re supposed to love in a white floral, a gourmand, and a leather is here. Yes, all of them. It’s strategic and it’s harmonized. Rose petals greet with elegance. Mimosa is frisky and fun. Gardenia and tuberose are serious about kindness. Marzipan sets flexible boundaries and suede reveals a dry, soft leather snap, which both uphold a protective rigor. Orris root is down to earth like a sofa with cushions that are firm enough yet soft enough. One would almost guess there’s a hint of oud and magnolia if this composition weren’t so clean and fresh. Good posture yields rewards.

I think the review that says this is similar to Gucci Bloom is fascinating. On me the marzipan really stands out. I have a problem wearing Gucci Bloom because there is an animalic note in it that my skin amplifies. It’s not attractive. I agree with the review about Belle probably being really sweet on some people. I think it’s like that for me and I love it. I believe the tuberose saves it from being like the cotton candy of pink sugar for me. I think it is a great point that this probably isn’t a safe blind buy. Also on my skin I don’t get any suede whatsoever so yes this is a try before you buy because other people seem to get the suede and that’s not for everyone.

Beautiful Belle Estée Lauder (Store test) Estee take on recent white floral fragrance trends. However, I quite appreciates the route stée Lauder take. Powdery woodiness in this much reminds me of more older fragrance. Even the creaminess of white floral in this is sort of new, modern. But it counterbalances with Leathery, Powdery Samsara kind of powderiness. I think that is property that Beaituful Belle offers. I think, if you wanna hop on the recent white floral trends. But you have sniff quite amount of fragrance. You can easily choose Beautiful belle. (to be consider add in collection) 8.5/10

This is a masterpiece from Esteé Lauder. I used to wear the original Beautiful, but I find that more iconic, vintage perfume. However Beautiful Belle is a light, sophisticated, modern floral scent. I find it very classy as well. I bought it a couple days ago but captured my heart already. After I bought, I went in to my favorite restaurant’s bar, and in a couple minutes later a couple came to me and asked what I’m wearing.... 10 minutes later a girl sat next to me and asked me.... In an hour a guy.... Wooooow.... COMPLIMENT MAGNET!!!! I guess I found a new signature.

I wore the original Beautiful back in the 1980s and it’s a beast of a fragrance. It will clear a room if oversprayed. Beautiful Belle is a departure from that but lovely in its own right. I love mimosa and gardenia so this is a winner for me. So elegant and fresh. The marzipan is not overdone and the musk and suede are subtle as well. It only lasts about an hour on me. I smile every time I spray it, though. It’s so pretty and mood-boosting.

Edit: After wearing this for about a week, I've determined that it's a favorite of mine. A really energizing and well blended fragrance. Very pleasant and light fragrance! The opening is very dewy and sweet like a ripened fruit mixed with morning roses. I got a sample of this and am considering purchasing at least a decant because this seems like a nice, office-appropriate scent that's not too daring or risky.

I love the updated fragrance very much! It’s very floral and fresh. Just the right amount of lychee, can’t stand too much lychee, it kills my nose. Not really detecting any marzipan but lots of Tuberose and other white florals orange blossom? It is Devine! Think I’ll have to spring for a small bottle. So cheerful and sweet and actually has pretty good longevity!

I’m shocked at how much I love this. Fresh, bright, juicy, smooth. I definitely get the juicy pop of lychee and then plunging face first into a freshly picked pile of white flowers, stems and leaves and all. Then there is a bite of gourmand sweet and the sumptuous caress of expensive new leather. I get vibes of Alien, Chloe, White Suede, Hypnotic Poison.

One of my favourite . I love how elegant, floral but little bit creamy. Not like flower garden but a bouqet of yellow and white flowers. Mimosa and gardenia smells very strong to me. Ok call me crazy but this parfume reminds me of Rare Gold by Avon. Of course its not same scent but it is like very light, dried down-rare gold.

This perfume is perfect year-round, specifically for the daytime. It is fresh, complex, clean, refined, and exciting, but never overwhelming. I mostly notice lychee and jasmine from this scent. This is my safe scent when I don't know what to wear. Lot of compliments when I wear this one.

I got a 4ml sample of this beautiful scent and I love it. It's a very beautiful flowery scent. I mostly detect jasmine and rose flowers from this scent but in the end, it turns into something sweet. I think is appropriate for all ages. I'll definitely buy a big bottle.

Swapped my totally gross bottle of Jo Malone Fig and Lotus Flower for this little beauty and this is gorgeous, very light and very sweet. The floral notes blend beautifully with the base, especially the suede. Love it and I have an almost full 50ml bottle to play with

Marzipan, gardenia and mimosa joined by a dusty suede at dry down. It's floral with a sweet creaminess - reminds me of Givenchy's Dahlia Divin Le Nectar EDP (both have mimosa). It's really quite pretty, and I'd happily own a full bottle.

Very beautiful scent with mostly white flower notes, but some yellow florals too. The tuberose smells delightful. Beautiful Belle stands out to me because of the suede note. It’s not too strong, but you can definitely detect it.

Really Beautiful scent! Fresh, feminine, elegant, sparkling white floral. Easy to wear. My man loves it on me. It's very long lasting too, 10+ h. Im very happy to have it in my collection. Thank you Estee Lauder for this!

Such a gorgeous blend! I can see this as a worthy successor to OG Beautiful... except for absolutely dismal staying power. 7 sprays was gone in 35 minutes. If it had even 2-3 hours longevity I'd probably make it my sig.

I wish I had an extra pair of nostrils so I could smell this with twice the power I normally can god damn, I love gardenias, I'm so happy I was put on the same planet as that flower. #blessed.

I love feminen, floral, fresh, sweet, performing parfums and this one gives me all. Suitable for spring and early auntumn. Better to use during Daytime for me.

This is a soft romantic smell (gardenia) appropriate for the office. I can still smell it after an entire day at work.

Pretty, Springtime fragrance. I thought I smelled Lily of the Valley in the top notes. I like it! :)

I love Beautiful Belle because of the smell of marzipan!

I surprisingly really like Beautiful Belle by Estee Lauder. I made the mistake of trying one of the flankers first (Beautiful Belle Love) and then just wrote off the whole line as insipid. I was wrong! The original is very nice, super pleasant. Light, sweet, fresh, and green tuberose/gardenia fragrance. I personally smell a lot of rose in here as well, providing this perfume with a girly character. Opening is fresh and fruity, and there is something bitter here as well, not sure if that's the mimosa. I like that bitter fresh touch. The fruitiness of lychee stays on through the mid, joining the lovely bouquet of sweet mimosa, green tuberose/gardenia, and fruity, pink, flirtatious rose. What surprised me the most is how much I like the drydown of this perfume. It gets very musky and almondy sweet, which I guess is the marzipan - although it doesn't exactly smell like straight up candy, just sweeter, muskier, and with a definite note of almond. Although it gets sweeter, it doesn't become a creamy, typical sweet white floral like we smell a lot of these days. This one dries down distinctly differently than most, and I really appreciate that about it - I think it's the musk and powdery nuttiness. For a fresher floral, I like that the drydown is distinct and the fragrance keeps a structure hours after application. Out of the scents listed in the "smells like" category, I would say this most smells like Woman by Ralph Lauren. They have a really similar progression - juicy, fruity opening (Woman has pear), sweet, fresh tuberose as well as orange blossom, and a smooth, nutty base (Woman has hazelnut.) I couldn't tell you which one is better as I haven't smelled Woman in some time (and honestly don't remember the drydown), but when I smelled this I immediately thought of Woman before scrolling down to look on this page. Beautiful Belle smells NOTHING like Estee Lauder Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia, and bears only the faintest resemblance to Chanel's Gabrielle. So please don't judge this fragrance based off of your like/dislike of those. I think those are lovely, too, but this is just entirely different. Beautiful Belle makes me happy every time I apply it. I would love to give it as a gift, I'm quite sure it would make many people smile :)

I have had a change of heart where Beautiful Belle is concerned. I wasn't wowed by this fragrance at first for some reason. I think it was 2 years ago since I had smelled it. I tested it again last evening at Ulta and thought to myself why didn't I buy this? Had I sampled to many gardenias at the time? Probably, I was going through gardenia faze at that time and thought I had to many. Smelling this again I am enchanted by it. Soft, creamy, pretty, slightly sweet. Utterly feminine, charming. It smells loads better and has better longevity and projection than fragrances that cost more than twice its price. I have a few really expensive perfumes in my collection that I will say are worth every penny I paid for them, but I find in this game just because something costs a lot doesn't mean it is worth the price, they are asking for it. The Niche world is full of disappointing perfumes that cost too much. I own quite a lot of EL fragrances. Why? Because they give value for money. Do I like all of their perfumes, no of course not but when they get it right no company does it better. EL delivers quality smelling perfumes for good prices and not only that they deliver a perfume that performs, and they have the best damn sprayers on their bottles. The spray is a lovely fine mist that covers you in the right amount of scent w/out any waste. The sprayer is easy to use and easy to control as well. If only all companies would give us this! Their luxury line are the best bottles in the business, easy to hold, use and store. I already have Beautiful Belle Love now I will bring her older more serious sister into my collection. Where she should have been in the first place. Edit: 9/27/24 my baby sister came up to see me yesterday and we went through my perfume collection. She fell in love with this and is thinking it could be her wedding perfume so I gave her my bottle along with some other things. My other sister got married last year and my youngest is getting married next month. Beautiful Belle would make a lovely wedding day scent for any young bride. If my sister chooses this I will not wear it again just like I didn't buy a FB of In Every Season by Blocki because that was my other sister wedding scent.

I find this perfume very approachable, happy and comforting smelling. It has a certain airy and yet warm quality about it, like a smiling woman in a field of flowers that's dotted with pretty trees filled with birds like robins and blue jays. Very much like a spring day, the sky a celestial blue and the sun a glistening white gold... indeed, like a fairytale princess like Aurora from Sleeping Beauty! I liked the airy and powdery smell from the mimosa and the romantic soft pink rose in the opening, but I found the frutiness from the lychee a bit too sweet and a bit too much for me and I think that just mimosa and rose together would have worked better as the opening notes. It would have driven home the spring-like nature of this perfume more to me. I really love the heart notes though, being such a white floral fiend and all... the creamy and lactonic gardenia, the sweet and animalic tuberose and the heady and clean smelling orange blossom were just perfect for me. The tuberose in the heart was also a clean smelling tuberose, stripped of most of its spicy, green and slightly mentholated nuances. I couldn't smell the bitterness that others were referring to on here. I found the sweet and slightly nutty marzipan a genius addition in the base, since it drove home a 14th century French princess (like Princess Aurora again) aesthetic to me, since marzipan was a favorite sweet for the people of medieval Western Europe. I like how this combines with the subtle leatheriness of the suede and the powdery smell from the musk and the orris root, but the ambroxan didn't feel like it belonged here and was on the synthetic side of things for me. I'm not the biggest fan of ambroxan and the base would have been perfect without it. Sillage was moderate on me and its wear time was just above average, lasting just over 7 hours in total on me. I liked this perfume, but it didn't blow me away and so I'd give it a 7.3/10.

I have neglected this release because ... yes, why then? Perhaps because the bottle and the name seemed to me like a clumsy attempt to combine the old with the new? Anyway, I could not avoid the spritz of the SA at the EL counter who showered me with it and then gave me a satin ribbon to take with me. The first impression was that it doesn't have anything in common with the original fragrance, that it was a completely different story but I couldn't tell what story it was because it smelled of everything and more. I admit that the SA sprayed so much on me that my nose went in blackout. Anyway, the day after, the scent on the ribbon and on my shirt was delicious! I could smell a creamy gardenia, a delicate tuberose and a pretty orange flower in a sweet but not gourmand background. So I had to try it again. The marzipan note amplifies the natural sweetness of white flowers but before everything becomes too mushy and sweet, there they come, litchi and mimosa to bring a bit of bubbly swing. The dry down reminds me a bit of Chanel Gabrielle and Dior Joy and, funny thing, it smells actually very similar to Garnier's Argan Oil Biphasic Micellar Water. When I bought the micellar water I liked so much the scent that I wanted to open a thread here to ask if someone knew a similar perfume. Now I have found it !!!, Beautiful modern white floral scent, in the wake of Ralph Lauren Woman, for those like me who have learned to love white florals but are still afraid of the full indolic blast. But why didn't they launch it as a pillar perfume with a name of its own and a more contemporary bottle?

This smells like a springtime wedding. A fresh, realistic bouquet of white flowers and golden mimosa underscored by soft musk. I don't get marzipan from this scent but why I do smell are sugared almonds - you know those ones that you get wrapped in chiffon as little wedding favours? Those. It's a very nice, albeit unremarkable fragrance, perfect for office wear, air travel, a friend's wedding - occasions when you want to smell good but not intrusive. This won't give anyone a headache. The downside, as others have mentioned is that its lasting power is very weak. If you're expecting something that will hold up for more than 2 hours you'll be disappointed. It's worth mentioning that BB is a complete departure from the original Beautiful. For me, this isn't a bad thing as I'm not a fan of that scent but I can understand that it's a classic and it has a devoted fan base who perhaps wouldn't want its name attached to something so different. I think it would have worked better as a stand alone - "Belle". All in all, a pleasant, delicate floral with a subtle suggestion of the gourmand and a touch of low-key elegance. Its sillage and lasting power is going to disappoint many but sometimes "barely there" has its place. I wouldn't pay full price but if I saw it going cheap, I would buy a small bottle. It is really quite enjoyable after all.

At first, I tested this in winter. Hated the immediate indolic waft. But after the weather warmed up, I gave it another go.... and it's much lovelier than I expected. I can definitely smell where Beautiful Belle and Beautiful Belle Love are related, and they're a perfect pair - Love for winter, BB for summer. When I got a sample of Lancome's Idole, I had a hunch and tested them at the same time, one on each arm. IMO they have incredibly similar notes that unravel in slightly different orders. BB's lychee/litchi in the top note is juicier and sweeter than Idole's pear (which, for some reason, I interpreted as jasmine?), but as BB goes floral, Idole turns into roses. The drydowns are both vaguely musky - I don't think I'd be able to pick out distinct notes, just that they're vaguely different but not memorable. Conclusion: a warm weather daytime fragrance if you like sweet flowers. Fairly similar to Idole - not sisters but probably cousins.

Beautiful Belle could quickly become a signature fragrance for women. Unlike the original Beautiful, adding the note of Iris (orris) in this flanker made me appreciate it even more. My experience with the scent was lovely, especially in its initial phase. The fragrance features top notes of lychee, rose petals, and mimosa, leading to heart notes of orange flower, gardenia, and tuberose. It concludes with a base of iris, suede, marzipan, musk, and ambrox for a warm and sensual finish. This perfume is for those who appreciate florals, but is far from a floral strident bomb( it's far from overwpowering). It’s subtle and exudes timeless beauty, with shy white florals that are dainty and sweet—perfect for a sophisticated, elegant woman. Given its floral and sweet nature, it’s best suited for spring and summer. The sillage is delicate, and while the longevity is shorter than expected, it remains a charming, graceful fragrance.

Sadly, it seems that Beautiful Belle may be getting discontinued—at least from what I’ve been hearing lately. That’s a shame, because it really is a gorgeous, elegant, and feminine fragrance. It feels like something you’d wear for a special occasion, but honestly, it could work just as well for everyday use. To me, though, it leans more toward warm weather. I do like this fragrance—I have respect for it—but it’s not one I would necessarily repurchase. I have the rollerball that I bought a few years ago, and it still smells great, but I rarely reach for it. There are just so many other beautiful fragrances that I love even more. I suppose that might be part of why it’s being discontinued. It’s lovely, but it’s not quite “to die for” in the way some fragrances are. Personally, I think Beautiful Belle is nicer than Estée Lauder’s Beautiful or Pleasures. It feels more refined to my nose than the other two I mentioned.

Federica76 has described this scent perfectly! I feel pretty much the exact same as them. Each time I give this a sniff, it's magical. As platonically as possible: This is what being snuggled into someone's chest listening to their heart with your thumb in your mouth is like (Or is that just me?). It's mumsy, I guess, but not at all in a dowdy or frumpy manner. Like, if I had to come up with a stereotypical image for this, it'd be a mother. As for what she looks like, that flickers a bit in my mind. Also, it's 3am and I'm trying to wind down from a play party so... I'm not that up to thinking much tbh! Also gobsmacked there's lychee in this, as it's a note which typically Does Not Work on me at all. Only have a sample of this, but will definitely look into a bigger bottle.

This is a lovely fragrance that gets a bit overwhelmed by the ambroxan. It's difficult to really appreciate the notes when you can't get a deep inhale without a headache, but the mimosa, marzipan, and orris differentiate it from the standard white floral designer and really round it out with a nice fresh sweetness. I'm sure the ambroxan isn't a problem for everyone, but for me, I feel like I didn't fully appreciate this until I wore it to bed and enjoyed the gorgeous full pyramid the next morning. Edit to add that on me the suede keeps it from going too sweet, but I enjoy sweet scents and it could have gone sweeter without me minding. Longevity is surprisingly good as a skin scent and it would be fun to add a yellow floral layer after the ambroxan burns off.

This is the perfect name for a pretty perfume ! Nice floral, easy to like, easy to wear...it has of the original Beautiful for sure, modernized also, the tuberose is shy, I hardly detect it, I will say the notes are well blended in, so I don't detect one above another., although the orange flower pops up more., and the magnolia too Now I wish it would develop into a warm base, with the orris, the blush suede, the marzipan, I honestly don't detect much of those..it remains a creamy floral from top notes to the dry down.. It does have a bit of Woman by RL, I much prefer the Belle, it is overall more interesting I must say I like it, and I am happily wearing it...even in warm weather , it isn't too much..in a way, it makes me think of Burberry London.

I was ready to write this off as a generic scent. Brought it home over a week ago and smelled magnolia dryer sheets and a breath of almond. Weak and unoriginal. I was heartbroken for 40$. My son lost the receipt so I couldn’t return it. It is getting hot so I thought I would revisit it. I hate fresh fragrances most of the time. This blew me away on my skin. The magnolia and other flowers twirl around the almond cookie that fell in the flowerbed. It is not made for chills or cold. This is meant to mix with your sweat. And shine. Very very ladylike, the projection is minimal. Idk about lasting power yet I just have to do a full wear. I’m thinking of silk blouses and minimal makeup.

The opening smells like juicy sweet lychee and nectar, which I find very enjoyable. As the lychee dies down a bit, the gardenia fades in. It also lasts pretty long on clothes. I actually prefer this over the original Beautiful; it is more lighthearted and I think it’s more suitable for a younger audience. Performance wise, this surprised me with the longitivtiy. I saw lots of comments saying that bb performs like a body spray, but it lasted at least 7 hours on my sleeve. I’m unsure about the silage, but I don’t think it’s very strong because the scent tends to be more fresh and light. Overall I love that this perfume is inoffensive, fresh, and accurate to the name.

I received my sample of Beautiful Belle about a week or two ago, and have worn it a few times since. It's very pretty. A fruity white floral. Simple and sweet. To me, it smells mostly of gardenia... or maybe it's tuberose? Honestly, I have a hard time differentiating between the two. As stated in an earlier review, this is not a powerhouse scent - which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It has moderate sillage and longevity. It is inoffensive and a great choice for everyday or office wear. I'd consider it a pretty safe blind buy or gift option if you're one who gifts fragrances. I'm sure I'll use up my sample, but won't be buying a full bottle.

This is a pretty enough fragrance but I am having a little trouble w/ the suede note. I personally think this perfume would have been better if they amped up the marzipan and musk in the dry down and left out the suede all together. I also think this perfume would have worked better w/ more rose and less of the fruity notes in the top. While this is ok it just isn't full bottle worthy in my mind. I'm glad I only have a very small sample bottle and I bought the large bottle of the Beautiful Belle Love instead. That one is much prettier.

Plastic cap looks a little cheap but pretty bottle overall. A summery gardenia with supporting high-pitched white florals and a tiny hint of amberwood or maybe ambroxan. (That's the suede, presumably.) If you want a true fruity leather-floral, I recommend Miss Boucheron. Update: in September I'm getting a different experience. I can really smell the fruit next to the white florals. Smells juicy and sweet, but not gourmand. You get the suede in the drydown. More grown up than the Boucheron I mentioned. "Beautiful" is right!

Beautiful Belle opens up with a strong accord of gardenia and tuberose. For me those two notes are very well balanced here.Mimosa is also prominent. I can smell litchi so fresh and juicy, which makes the perfume suitable for early spring.All of the notes are my favorite and this frag definitely smells of luxury.I can't still comment the association with Beautiful,which for me is divine.However this is a rich white floral,which I am a sucker for.It's edgy without being cloying. Love it.

I was gifted this fragrance and although it is not normally what I would choose for myself, it is quite lovely. It sits close to the skin without being a beast mode like my others. It's very feminine. Not sickly sweet which is great for Summer for me. I like it for work or out and about during the day. It's perfectly fine for the office if not oversprayed and I can't say anything negative about it. In fact, it smells like what you would expect from an Estee Lauder fragrance.

It has a fresh scent but also has a dry down that smells like marzipan. I quite like it. In the 80s, my favorite was Beautiful. I think the formula changed or as I get older my olfactory senses have changed. Or maybe a bit of both, and now I can't stand Beautiful. It's too soapy. Maybe it's the aldehyde. Beautiful Belle does not have that soapy smell, which works in its favor. And it feels lighter. I think this is better than Beautiful Magnolia, which is too aquatic for me.
