Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche 2019

I thought I was going crazy-I deleted a long review I wrote because I started with speaking about how this is a sandalwood-dominant scent and that mostly what I read is a warm sun baked sandalwood/beachy driftwood type of scent. Then I peeked the notes here and didn’t see sandalwood and thought this must be a case of coconut playing tricks on me, so I deleted. I just looked at Estée Lauders site and yes, there is sandalwood, and I was right. That’s probably why so many reviewers are so disappointed-the notes aren’t correct here and the pyramid gives an impression of a different scent. This is one of my favorite scents and has been for awhile. It’s VERY UNISEX, despite the name. It opens with a lemony bergamot, overspraying can sometimes smell like lemon dish soap, but that will fade within a couple minutes. Then I mostly read a warm, sweet, sun baked sandalwood/drift wood type scent with the most subtle hints of unsweetened coconut, sweet light musk, and amber. I do not get tiare or any other florals. I have montales extreme tiare and that smells like sugary candy necklaces, this doesn’t have anything resembling those notes. It is not a “coconut scent” like so many expect, and if you’re expecting tropical drinks or coconut sunscreen, this isn’t that. It’s a sandalwood scent. The coconut here isn’t sweet, gourmand, sunscreen or liquor. It’s musky, but not in that “I smell like husk dirt” way that some of the plasticky coconut scents turn on my skin. The vanilla is very minimal-I feel like it sweetens the wood or helps make a sweet musk rather than sweetening the coconut. This actually smells almost identical, despite the note difference, to Clean Reserve Solar Bloom, which is a unisex smoky coal and vetivier coconut with patchouli, and smells so much like this I don’t think most people could tell a difference. I almost rushed and bought a FB of CRSB after sampling and loving it, and had to stop myself because I own BGEF and backups and they are too similar to own both. Also, I realized that Bronze Goddess lasts nearly twice as long as Solar Bloom on my skin. Solar blooms florals are different than BG, but both scents are so similar and have the most subtle florals that my nose doesn’t even read them (probably because as a woman, subtle florals get snuck into all my shampoos and soaps, so I turn anosmic to them). I know a lot of reviews complain this scent vanishes quickly but I assure you, it doesn’t. It’s easy to go nose blind to this if you under spray as it’s gentle-though this performs better than a number of EDPs I’ve used. If you spray moderately on the pulse points, a couple spritzes on your hair and couple on clothes, and this will stick around at least 6 hrs, and more than two days on clothes. It doesn’t announce itself everywhere you go. I’m a person who fragrances vanish from in record speed. I sprayed this last night before bed and woke up this morning wondering what smells so good. It is faint and a skin scent, though honestly it’s a rather strong skin scent-most of my other skin scents don’t project as much as this. BG EF smells expensive and quality-no fake burning sinus synthetic sharp or watered down notes that I can discern. It layers extremely well-if you find some complimentary scents to layer, you will notice an increase in projection and lasting power-this is one of those scents that works best with others. Some of my favorites to layer with are: Clean reserve Sel Santal-gives a beachy warm santal bomb that is super addictive and reads on me like a summery version of a Santal 33 inspired scent but way better than any “inspired by” scents or unique takes on the market I ever came across. I smelled Pacificas Neon Moon at Target yesterday and almost thought that smelled a bit like this blend. I almost bought a bottle, but Neon Moon smelled cheap and faint compared to Sel Santal+BGEF. Versace Yellow Diamond - turns the soapy generic summery florals of YD into sunbathing on a wooden porch in a blooming summer garden. I prefer these scents together much more than separate. Also pairs well with any beachy tropical scent-will bring it into a more unisex sandalwood territory. Pairs with any cold/sharp woody/sandalwood scent to warm it up and soften it. Pairs with any white floral. Pairs with citrus dominant scents. Wears nicely on its own, especially in intimate settings. I absolutely love this scent. I’ve tried a lot of Estée Lauder scents and most read too mature on my skin, and a lot of lines EL owns have some of the worst performance I’ve come across. I try to avoid EL. This gem is the exception. I bought 2 full backups before I was halfway through my first bottle. I really wasn’t impressed with this scent at first, I thought it was unimpressive, musky, woody, and that there was no coconut, it almost seemed a bit plastic at first. I wanted a summer sunscreen tropical bomb. Then I found myself with the desire to keep reaching for the bottle for a quick sniff or light spray. In winter and summer. The more I wear it, the more I understand it and the longer it lasts on my skin. Similar to a molecule fragrance in that way. I know a bunch of ladies are mad that this isn’t an ultra femme/pina colada coconut cookie scent, but it’s one of my favorite I’ve ever owned. Wouldn’t change a thing. Absolutely love it. I listed it as my signature scent because I probably reach for this the most to wear alone or with others. As far as coconuts and tropical florals go, I think Aerins hibiscus palm is one of the best “Soleil Blanc” type expensive floral sunscreen scents on the market. I’m also a big tuberose/lys 41/carnal flower fan, which are good options if you want the sunscreen summer flowers. Also BGEF doesn’t smell like, but does somewhat give me very subtle Radio Bombay/jhag sunny side up vibes, though the sandalwood and musk in those are stronger, spicier, and more masculine. This would be more like the sweetened sunscreen versions of those scents, just not a sweet sunscreen like most others think of when they hear sunscreen. BGEF almost reminds me a bit of a sandalwood monoi oil I used, but the fragrance in that was so mild I didn’t repurchase so I can’t compare well. If you’re buying bronze goddess in search of the perfect coconut, I’m sorry but there is no such thing as the perfect coconut. I’ve tried them all. Anything realistic has been discontinued. Everything else is ultra plasticky and/or cheap body spray. I’ll update when/if I find the ultimate coconut, but basically all my favorite coconut perfumes smell mostly like every note they contain besides the coconut.

I always low key loved Bronze Goddess and scents within this olfactive family, I even own Guerlain Terracotta which is sublime but I never, for some reason bought Bronze Goddess, being a huge fan of Sali Hughes, its no surprise that I follow her social media and when watching an Instagram TV episode she did on summer perfumes, she mentioned this and how its the exact scent of suntan lotion covered skin in the sun and I'm not going to lie, that kind of sold me to it and also if Sali loves a scent and I know my local department stores/drugstores stock them you can bet I'll definately seek them out to test them (this is, of course now Iockdown has eased in the UK). I managed to earn quite a few points on my Boots loyalty card, so I decided I'd use those to grab a 50ml bottle of the Eau Fraiche, I'm glad I did, like, REALLY glad I did! I started out wearing this during the wintery months and it smelt like a ray of sunshine, its bright and warm, coconut milk and amber being the most noticable notes on my skin but with it being an Eau Fraiche it was very short lived but I knew that when I bought it, however, it is definately intended to be a summer scent, not only does it really sing in the heat (in the UK we've had a really hot spell of weather which I am LOVING!), it also lasts longer on my skin. In the warmer weather I can smell all of the notes listed before it dries down; opens with bergamot spiked coconut but unlike in the winter, it dries down to a vanilla/amber tiare flower with coconut acting like a backdrop. It's not heavy, I also dont find it sweet, its just a summery, warm but not "warm" scent that makes me think of hot sand, sea air and the feeling of the sun on my skin, its fresh but not in the way D&G Light Blue and Hermes Un Jardin Sur le Nil are fresh. Now whilst I think its a perfectly lovely, fresh and sunny scent, it can smell like bug spray on some people, so unless you know coconut/tiare scents work really well for you, test it before you buy it. Silage is soft; it is afterall a skin scent, longevity in winter is about 3 hours but in the warmer months I get about 6 from it, its versitile for daily summer wear or even a little pick-me-up during the cold months when you long for the warmer brighter days of summer, future repurchase and staple fragrance. (Side Note: how many times did I say "summer" or reference warmer weather? wow)

Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche is a warm scent that opens with white florals blended with coconut. In the drydown, florals dissipate leaving room for more gourmand vibes with the vanilla. Instead of beach and summer, it reminds me of spring when everything is in full bloom under the sun. It smells somewhat mature, not old (even though I've been told otherwise), and could perfectly suit any gender, in my opinion, despite the fact that most consider this a female scent. There are some notes missing from fragrantica, one of them being jasmin, which now makes sense and explains why it is somewhat heady (if you like the scent overall but feel bothered by this, avoid spraying on your chest and/or clothing). I have detected similarities to bugspray, but I actually kind of like it. My sister claims that the opening smells like classic lemon dishwasher. I understand, but I'm not put off by any of these remarks. Personally, I bought this fragrance for its drydown, which is amazing to me - sweet coconut vanilla, as comforting and beautiful as it could be, especially on clothing - but unfortunately, after a few weeks of regular use, I can confidently state that this scent has a very poor performance curve. The drydown sits entirely close to the skin even if I spray 30 times. I'm not kidding, not even overspraying will do. White florals and citrus with a hint of coconut is everything I can rely on with this fragrance as far as projection is concerned, which leads me to the conclusion that I likely won't be buying this again. It's just too weak in what counts for me. If you don't believe me when I say the juice I got is weak, I'll just say this: people don't notice I'm wearing perfume even with 20+ sprays after only 45 minutes. I know this because I asked several of my friends and family directly. I'll update this review once I thoroughly test it with temperatures between 30-40oC, because who knows, maybe it does need that extreme hot weather to shine.

Dang, this fragrance is soo good! Huge fan of this Estée Lauder line!!! And absolutely adore this scent. It's not a very complex one, but it’s very well-blended, uplifting and absolutely beautiful. For summertime, Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche is the perfect designer scent for beach, lazy days. What’s not that great about it is the longevity, it has rather poor longevity, max of 5 hours in perfect summer weather, with almost no projection after first hour. So this is a scent you wear it solely for yourself because it’s very unlikely someone around you will notice it and compliment you... The tropical floral of tiare and the coconut is paired beautifully together and the dry down is intoxicating with creamy, sweet vanilla and warm amber. To those who say, that this perfume is an expensive sunscreen in a bottle, yes, you are correct. This is an exotic holiday bottled with all that comes along with it! Expensive, luxurious, tropical smelling, this 2019 version of Bronze Goddess Fraiche is my favourite of all! Sweet, airy, creamy coconut, vanilla and tiare, this scent encapsulates wonderfully summer season. I just bought the 2025 edition Bronze Goddess Aegea, but after testing this version, I wish I would have bought this 2019 version instead. I had the 2022 version, Bronze Goddess Nuit that was amazing, but this is something else... I need to get my hands on a bottle ASAP, it’s truly beautiful and exactly what I like in this scent profile. Done to perfection for me!!

My beloved Un Jardin En Mediterranee is almost empty so the hunt for the next vacation scent began (might get another FB however...). Love me some aromatherapy. I tend to be more on the aromatic side of things, when it comes to scents that allude to vacation and carefree times. Funny enough though I was craving coconut. No idea why but here we are. What I love about Bronze Goddess is that it doesn't enter the sweet and fruity territory. Which might be why this scent in a way fits into the Lauder portfolio. I loved the insightful review of BerryRose and might want to add that in a way Bronze Goddess is one of the polished interpretations of a vacation scent. The coconut is woody and quite realistic, the Tiare flower used sparingly (in Just Cavalli, for example, it is used in its full intoxicating form). The ambery dry down is soft and you get whiffs of it throughout the day. It has quite the staying power but sillage is soft so you can refresh and reapply without worrying that it might become overbearing (it's an eau Fraiche after all). Would love to wear this beauty on a real vacation. Wearing a tunic, my favorite golden sandals and classic black bikini and of course sipping on a refreshing tonic water. Maybe in 2021! PS: the bottle is absolutely stunning.

Skin-like warmth, nostalgic aura. For me this smells like bottled nostalgia. Not of an actual memory, but more like a universal kind of nostalgia that feels really addictive. I normally don't go for super sweet and gourmand scents because they often feel too juvenile and basic, but the vanilla and coconut are more mature and layered here. Even though woody notes aren't listed for this scent, the drydown gives me cashmere wood and maybe even something resembling macadamia. I feel it's almost offensive for this fragrance to be described as tropical and beachy, because at least for me, this has way more depth. Warm, inviting, intuitive, introverted even. This is why I would actually prefer this for colder seasons. Even though this is marketed as feminine, there is a universal skin-like feel to this and I would love to smell this on a man too. The white florals don’t come off sharp like they sometimes do for me, rather they translate as creamy and even lactonic here. I’d say it’s perfect for someone in their mid-20s to mid-40s. Maybe not a very safe blind buy if looking for a typical "tropical" or gourmand smell even though I get that the coconut could feel tropical for many. This scent just has more personality and I love it for that!

I have been looking forward to smelling this Bronze Goddess edition for quite some time. Thankfully, I have not been disappointed. It opens up with freshness from bergamot and lemon, which lingers for a while, then tones down to give way to creamy vanilla, milky coconut, warm amber and sandalwood and white flowers. It is sensual, elegant and more complex compared to previous editions. It is indeed similar to bronze goddess 2010/2011 editions, especially the drydown. However, the 2019 eau fraiche has a more prominent white flower note, which makes it more elegant and sophisticated. Also, I sense a deeper, darker note of sandalwood blending harmoniously with the coconut, avoiding this "beachy" sunscreen vibe. There is less sweetness there, too. I think this Bronze Goddess has achieved the perfect balance for me. It can be worn for a night out, as it contains a smooth, mysterious quality. The longevity is decent, and projection is quite good, considering it is an eau fraiche. Bottom line, if you are looking for an elegant and sophisticated coconut perfume, not a beachy one, suitable for the office, but also for a cocktail night, this could be your match.

Did you ever think that you found 'the one'? I did with this. When i wear this perfume people stop me on the steet and asking me what it is. My boyfriend lost his mind when i first wear this. Perfumes usually smell very different on my skin. Some notes become more sharp. I know its happening to everyone but the change of scents on my skin is very dramatic. so i have trouble finding right perfumes. When I first bought this, I fall in love. But, yes there is a but, my skin reacted. I had allergies! First i didnt understood because it was a late reaction. My skin goes red and itched 5 hours after i apply this perfume. After a week' I accepted. I thought it was because it was an ef. And i made the mistake of buying modern muse after this which made the same allergy. Now mom has 2 bew perfumes thanks to my allergies. I am not able to use any estee lauder perfume anymore. I am allergic to their perfume, allergic people , please test and wait 1 day before you buy this. ( versage and yves rocher are not creating the same reaction so i will stick with their perfumes) This smells amazing and sexy and i hate that i am not able to use anymore.

Nothing like TF Soleil Blanc other than sharing some like notes. This is an ambered white floral made sparkling by bergamot. The former is a thick, creamy suncream scent that can be cloying and veer too far into skin-slathered-in-sunscreen territory whereas Bronze Goddess has none of that. It's almost what I'd describe as an aquatic oriental-floral. There are no aquatic notes but something about the juicy citrus calls to mind fresh water upon tropical white flowers. Underscore this with sun-warmed amber and you've got this scent. It sounds heavy but true to the name, it is an eau fraiche: it's bright but anchored in rich, heady notes. Perfect for summer days and nights. It's best used decanted into an atomiser and used to reapply throughout the day and into a hot, balmy night. A really solid summer fragrance that is an absolute must for my holidays. It has sentimental value for me as I bought it before going to Phuket and biased or not, it certainly captures that vibe. It doesn't last long or project like a powerhouse but for me, and for what it's suited to, in its category it's incomparable. 10/10

Mmmm, this just smells absolutely beautiful! It makes me think of something that a beautiful California blonde going to the beach at Malibu would wear, especially Malibu Barbie. Her golden tanned skin would be glistening in the sun from the monoï oil that she has rubbed onto herself, as she sits on the beach near the tiare flowers and coconut trees as she watches the waves crash onto the sand. That's what this smells like to me! I get some of the vanilla and bergamot too, but this is mainly a tropical smelling white floral perfume to me. Sillage on me is moderate and the longevity of this fragrance was surprisingly good on me, at around 8 hours of wear. I could imagine myself wearing this during the day and during the summer, especially if I'm going out for lunch, to the swimming pool or of course the beach just like Malibu Barbie... it makes me want to get a blue one piece! Altogether I'd give this heavenly beach goddess perfume an 8.5/10. It's what the original Bronze Goddess perfume should have been in my opinion. I just might have to add this beauty to my collection!

I love this. It's a beachy coconut, but also fresh, floral and woody. It's far more complex and sophisticated than what listed notes on Fragrantica show. Tiare and vanilla are well blended and don't dominate. Very feminine and definitely not "Barbie doll" unlike many beachy scents on the cheaper side. If only it were more intense and long lasting... But well, it's an eau fraîche. I tried a completely new tester in another store later, and I got the wonderful coconut everyone is talking about. I'm pretty sure the first tester had started going bad.

This is absolutely beautiful. It's very fresh and super feminine. Definitely a summer or vacation staple in your fragrance wardrobe. It's got that milky sun tan lotion vibe but with crisp, almost wet white florals. The only thing I am not absolutely crazy about is that the white florals give the coconut/vanilla notes a little bit of an old school vibe. Like a luxury resort from the 1990s. I prefer coconut/vanilla fragrances with a modern twist: (à la Heeley - Coccobello or Nishane - Ani) I have heard the rumors about the non-existent longevity and they are 100% true. It becomes a skin scent in about 45 minutes. However, I got it for half price and it smells so lovely that I will use it as an out of the shower fragrance, or right before bed. But it is fbw for me and I am glad to have it. A very rare successful blind buy for me.

As someone who has the skinscent, the body oil and the whipped body creme, its safe to say I love this scent. On initial spray I get a hairspray kind of vibe, however this doesn't put me off. It's grown up coconut done beautifully. If you don't like tiare flower you probably won't like this. The longevity is not great, but if you love the scent try layering the oil or creme with it, having a tacky base makes the scent last longer. I also highly recommend Next Summer Sun if you want a budget version of this. Its almost bang on. I use the body spray as a refresher throughout the day it is wonderful. Think high heat, you are lying on the beach catching a tan. You have a pina colada in one hand, a good book in the other. You can smell your sun lotion, the salt from the sea and the local flowers. This is a whole vibe.

got this totally by mistake. a family member wanted to pick up something else from the line for me and got this and it was very like unplanned. I didn't have much hope. im not usually into coconut tropical scents but my god - this is just beautiful. I am in the season of my life where this mature, elegant, yet youthful, bright and uplifting fragrance just does it for me. so perfect for daytime stuff and work stuff and brunch and what have you white, light blue clothes vacation by the sea or lazy day at home what have you it doesn't last too long? like 3-4 hours and its most a skin scent? but super pretty and really nice also for those days when you just wanna smell good but dont want to smell much. a neutral bright anti depressant kinda feeling hahaha. I love this.

Yummy white floral fragrance that is perfect for your summer vacation to tropical Tahiti and is big on the tiare flower note and coconut! This is absolutely delicious smelling and something that I could never tire of. It smells slightly like sunscreen but in a very addictive and luxe sort of way. There's something comforting smelling about Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche too. I got 9 hours of wear from this on my skin and my husband could smell it across the table one morning and complimented me on my perfume while we were on vacation in Cancun once he figured out it was me that smelt so damn good! Absolutely wonderful fragrance I recommend to everyone when they want to feel like a beautiful sun goddess. 5/5!

Wow!! this is everything I wanted and craved from a summer scent! I am in heaven. It opens up citrusy and then becomes sweeter coconutty and creamy. I get every listed note. I tried every beachy perfume under the sun like Jil Sander Sun, Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, Alien Goddess, JHAG Vanilla Vibes etc. And while these scents are beautiful they are all too much like sunscreen lotion to me for the price (except the Jil Sander one because you cant go wrong imo). This one doesn't smell too much like sunscreen (maybe more like suntan oil?) and it is also not too sweet. It's warm yet fresh I just love it. I will wear this all summer I already know.

I fully used my first bottle of Bronze Goddess and will rebuy again. I love this fragrance, it ́s my favourite after Hypnotic poison. On my skin, I am a Deep Winter Color Type, the warm notes like amber, vanilla and coconut domminate with just a hint of citrus which makes the fragrance crispy and alive. My friend is light skinned and with her its the other way around, the fragrance turns out much fresher on her. Both "versions" are beautiful, just really different. Now that its almost winter here in Austria Bronze Goddess instantly puts me in a good mood and brings back summer laziness. Three words to describe B.G.: warm, fresh, sexy.

I have just bought it for 32 $ for 50ml on notino.com, usually is well over 60 $ so I went for it. I adore suntan lotions scents for summer and creamy coconut with tiare and vanilla and some bergamont so I know i will love it and since is 50ml bottle i can overspray when i wear it. I will not be too sad about the fact that is skinscent because the price is really so affortable that i can’t complain. My first bronze goddess is on its way, the day after tomorrow will be delivered to me. It will be one perfect summer friday. ❤️ Will update my comment.

This was my first blind buy and I'm glad that it worked out. This actually does remind me of the way your skin smells after you've slathered it in expensive tanning oil and you've been laying on the beach in the hot sun for hours. Deliciously warm, slightly sweet with a dry, nutty, coconut scent. So sublime! READ THIS IF YOU WANT IT TO LAST LONGER: I layered it with Molecule 02 when I went to bed and 12 hours later, I could still easily smell it projecting. It didn't change the scent, just added a slight sweetness.

I forgot how gorgeous this was. I got as part of a set on QVC and I've fallen back in love. The weather is super hot at the moment and this is a perfect cool down spritz. After reading other reviews I was expecting it to disappear immediately,but I keep getting wafts . This is lovely and refreshing. Not cloying and sickly. A perfect go to for a holiday. It's something to be used frivolously and enjoyed. The scent of sunshine and a nice cool down while you're in you poolside garb. Lovely

@Duftduft I was amused to read that you adore this fragrance and your other favourite is Hypnotic Poison. Because... same here! Hypnotic Poison is my signature fragrance for autumn/winter, but in summer, all I wear is Bronzed Goddess. I always receive so many compliments from co-workers and friends. It is summer in a bottle. Coconut, sun tan lotion, glistening golden skin.... So sensuous and hot. It has become my signature summer fragrance.

This fragrance is so nice, smooth and comforting. I instantly fell in love at first sniff and haven’t stopped loving it since I got it over a year ago. Went through half the bottle in just a month! It’s the perfect everyday scent in my opinion, I just wish it lasted longer-but I’m sure if it was any stronger it wouldn’t be the same. Anyone of any age can wear this and you’ll smell, clean, beach-y and comforting.

I wonder why sandalwood isn’t listed in the notes here on Fragrantica... To me, this has strong Debaser vibes, though it’s more on the floral side, while Debaser leans more green/fruity. I also find Bronze Goddess softer and creamier, but performance might be an issue. Very special, as it lacks EDP’s sweetness and, thankfully, it’s not vanilla-heavy, like many other beachy fragrances. Glad I gave it a try!

This one deserves the hype it gets. BG smells like you're relaxing on a beautiful sunny beach surrounded by coconuts and white flowers. I'm not even a big fan of coconut scents but I had to get a full bottle of this. I get so many compliments wearing it and it also lasts pretty long on my skin. I know it's a summer fragrance but will definitely wear it during fall/winter too.

Delicious. Summer holiday staple, at the beach, when it’s hot, or just when you wanna FEEL like you’re on tropical vacation. Perfect sweet sun tan lotion coconut scent, fresh without giving out the shower vibes. Just like an ice cold lemonade on a hot day. Refreshing! Unfortunately, doesn’t seem to last at all, a 30minute respray needed constantly

Smells very nice. This is one of the few fragrances with tiare flower that doesn’t smell like bug spray to me. The coconut is very nice and creamy. It’s too bad it doesn’t last. It really is a skin scent. I got this cheap so it’s fine but I wouldn’t pay the full price for this skin scent. I’m curious to try the EDP.

She's perfect. Rich, intoxicating, creamy coconut. Sexy, SULTRY, deep, smooth, and somehow also fresh. I wouldn't say mature but definitely not young. A compliment getter. The perfect summer babe. BEWARE the tiare flower, though. I've noticed some people can't stand it. You either love or hate the tiare flower.

Runded fresh coconut scent. Every summer I buy a big bottle and I spray it generousely on top of the perfume of my choice. I use it for layering and if a scent is too masculine,this can give it a sweet turn. Love it and will not get the EDP as this works just fine. Projects well and lasts about 3-4 hours.

This is the ultimate perfect summer coconut scent for a woman. It's so milky, sweet, smooth, warm, but has the citrus to give it a freshness that is perfect for hot weather. This is definitely sweet and coconutty, but it's not child-like. It projects well and lasts for several hours. A definite love.

This is a fresh, sensual, and lactonic coconut. I'm so mad it took me all this time to try this over the EDP. I own a bottle of BG EDP 2017, and while the EDP is beautiful, the Eau Fraiche is truly a goddess. Sillage and longevity are moderate. Performs like an EDP on my skin.

I think this version retains the same notes as previous editions. Estee Lauder just changes the packaging often. This is one of the best beachy suntan lotion fragrances you'll find. Creamy and milky coconut with tropical white flowers and a warm sunny base. Gorgeous. Love it!

I think this fragrance is grossly underrated! It’s my favourite summer, tropical scent. It reminds me of a vacation in Fiji, fake tan, bikini and cocktails. This is a vacation signature scent.

A consistent go-to every spring/summer, creamy coconut floral with the bergamot giving a levity that stops it getting cloying. A warm summer breeze 🌴this fragrance just makes me happy

I love this perfume. Bought it for my mum first and loved the scent every time she wore it, so bought myself a bottle, but I can't smell it at all on me. It smells like summer.

This is a tropical delight but unfortunately it disappears pretty quick. Layered with other BG fragrances works. This is my handbag decant to respray throughout the day.

I love this version of Bronze Goddess so much. On the skin it doesn't last the greatest, but on cloths & hair it lasts several hours.

This is very uplifting, not too tropical coconut perfume, creamy and cosy.

Out of all the fragrances rated summer tropical that I’ve tried so far, this smells the most perfume like. It has a more refined smell of bergamot and coconut which is softer than lime and coconut. The tiare is soft and none indolic. The vanilla and Amber base make it smell like a rich yet soft fragrance. My first thoughts were this smells like Angel eau Croisiere 2019 all grown up. Something about the base smells similar. I’m not saying that the Angel one smells immature but it smells like something reminiscent to what certain girls were wearing in the summers when I was a teen. The ones who would wear makeup and actually knew what they were doing. Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche has boobs and is a woman. The scent is much smoother and softer. The base is more prominent than the fruity top notes. To me, this smells prettier than Tom Ford Soleil Blanc edp and edt. It different from Guerlain Terracotta which is Jasmine dominate and eventually fades to smell similar to Le Labo Lys 41. Aerin Lauder Hibiscus Palm, Bond No 9 Saks Fifth Ave and Comptoir Sud Pacifique Aloha Tiare are very floral, very fruity, and very loud smelling. Monoi Eau des Vahines Yves Rocher Is more playful and coconut dominate. I guess I’ll throw in Tocca Florence for comparison too. It smells like gardenia, fruit cocktail pears and apple juice. The overall impression of this fragrance is that of a woman who went to the beach wearing perfume but didn’t get in the water. Maybe she dipped in a toe or two. She went suntanning, reading books under an umbrella, drank at the bar, and ate a nice lunch and dinner. It doesn’t smell like a woman who built sandcastles with the kids, played volleyball, or hopped on a sea-doo.

I have wanted to try Bronze Goddess for a while, as I have a weakness for a well-composed beachy, tropical, suncream-y scent. According to Luca Turin, the eau fraîche version of BG is the way to go. While it is quite nice, it is not full-bottle worthy for me - it is a little too wan and watery, while relying too heavily on the coconut note. It is less sweet than I expected too - not necessarily a bad thing. BG opens with a hint of citrus which quickly gives way to coconut. The coconut resembles coconut water, and proceeds to dominate this scent. This coconut water note really reminds me of Debaser, to reiterate kalltkaffe below. The tiare note adds a tropical floral quality - slightly sweet, fruity and creamy - while vanilla adds a hint of barely-there sweetness. There is a definite sandalwood presence as it develops, adding a predictable yet smooth woodiness that complements the tropical notes. The coconut water reigns supreme until the end however, making BG overall a watery, slightly sweet, tropical scent. I prefer rich, creamy, slightly fruity white florals in tropical scents instead of this dominant, almost one-dimensional coconut water note. With moderate sillage and longevity, the performance is better than expected from an eau fraîche. Overall, BG is a reasonably nice beachy scent for the summertime, but there is too much coconut for my liking. It likely layers well, however - perhaps with a simple white floral scent, or something sandalwood-heavy. For coconut lovers. 2.5/5.

This is quite strong for a skin scent but is certainly still very wearable during the daytime - in fact, this doesn't really work in colder months but absolutely blooms on a hot Summer's day, as might be expected. Does it have a sunscreen vibe? Slightly, but only in the sense that it reminds you of beautiful, beachy days. The most important thing to be aware of is that quite a few notes are missing from the description, hence this version might surprise you more than you anticipated. It is a warm, mainly coconut milk & Tiare flower scent, slightly musty with a combination of notes that reminds me of fig, though none is in this. Overlooked detectable notes that are in this scent, and make it more complex, are myrrh and vetiver at the base (along with the amber and extremely slight touch of vanilla). This adds a resinous, richer & deeper base. The Tiare flower is definitively indolic, rather than a ''fresh'' jasmine type scent which reads on my skin as slightly musty and almost patchouli albeit far lighter & gives this a more sensual, sophisticated vibe. This really come to life in the summer months but has such richness and good sillage that it could easily take you into a Summer evening, dressier event. A very interesting scent and nice addition to a Summer holiday wardrobe.

I wore this for the first time today. I had thought I had purchased the 2017 version, but when I checked ked the batch code, I discovered I had purchased 2019 instead. So far, I like it. Knowing it was an Eau Fraiche that actually has the words "skin scent" in it's name, I did not expect a powerhouse. I own a product from a company called Canvas & Concrete - a fragrance extender - and between using that and spraying my clothes, the longevity is definitely longer than what many are experiencing. But it's projection and sillage are very minimal, because again, as they clearly state, this is a skin scent. Since this is the first BG I have owned, I looked back at the notes from previous releases. For the most part, they are all similar, which makes me confused. Why are the 2019 notes so minimal? At least they are according to the notes listed here. Can anyone tell me if there is a big difference between 2017 and 2019? What about other years? I'm speaking specifically about the Eaux Fraiche. I am aware that the EDP is much different. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has been wearing this for many years, and would be grateful if someone would PM me with some background! The opening of this perfume is so delicate and soft, particularly for a sunscreeny white floral like this. The gentleness is really inviting. I felt so pulled in by this perfume immediately after I sprayed it. I kept wanting to spray more because the inviting softness makes you want to burrow yourself into this scent to get a stronger whiff. That, I think, is the magic of this perfume. It gives you just enough of something beautiful to leave you wanting more. However, after an hour of so, the basic-ness of the Estee Lauder DNA settles in. I don't mean basic in a bad way. Estee Lauder perfumes are very intelligently designed to be pleasant, and the dry down of this is pleasant but very nondescript. It dries down into a very generic, and slightly dated smelling mix of coconut and amber (again, not necessarily bad, just unremarkable). This also fades very quickly on the skin, which is disappointing unless you, like me, love to overspray your perfumes throughout the day.

I'm kind of wishing I had listened to the reviews and saved up for a Soleil Blanc. This smells so good, and then it's gone. You know how you usually look at the ingredient list and it's Alcohol denat., and then fragrance? This one has water as its second ingredient. It even looks like water in the sprayer. I have to admit it's a little fun to spray all over with great abandon, as I usually do like 2-3 sprays of something. But literally this morning I did at least 15 sprays before heading off to work and couldn't smell it by my 11:00 meeting unless I put my nose an inch from my arm. That said, it's good and inexpensive, so I'll probably use up my 100 ml and then look for something longer lasting in this vein.

I have and adore BG Azur and was sure I was going to love the Eau Fraiche version, but I detect quite a lot of javanol and it's an aroma chemical I cannot tolerate. The scent itself is nice—it's a spicy, woody, slightly vanillic coconut sun cream, but that javanol feels very prickly in my throat. I tried wearing it with a vanilla body lotion and it was better, but my chemistry still overprojects that synthetic sandalwood note. I think this is going to appeal to a lot of people who enjoy sandalwood and coconut scents. The fresh opening makes it particularly wonderful for warm weather. It performed well will good sillage.

This is a pleasant, mature fragrance. it certainly has a creamy warmth to it. To say it smells like sunscreen would be a disservice, but the coconut and vanilla undertones are most noticeable and harness the staying power. For me personally, I don't get any floral notes - perhaps a touch of bergamot, but that doesn't stick around for very long. This is a warm, comforting fragrance, and more of a gourmand scent than I was expecting. It doesn't scream hot, tropical sexiness. Still, definitely not unpleasant and I imagine most people quite liking it.

This is such a lovely summer fragrance; radiantly solar from first spray, fresh from the bergamot, but also deeply and deliciously creamy from the tiare/coconut/vanilla trifecta. There is a hint of sunscreen about it, but faded in the way of sun-warmed skin after a day at the beach. It’s very evocative, one of those fragrances that’s almost as much memory as scent; warm stone, bare feet, sand and salt. Literally a vacation in a bottle. Longevity and projection are both average on me (around 3-4 hours and arm’s length). Definitely one to revisit.

I like this one. It's a really light summery sunscreen type of scent (and I love sunscreen scents for summer). It's obviously not very long lasting but I don't really mind it in summer fragrances. I also used to have VS Very sexy now Wild Palm and I was surprised how similar these two were! There was a slight difference but they smell almost the same...must be the tiare-coconut mix. Just the VS one is a perfume, stronger and longer lasting. So, if you want a stronger version of this, I recommend getting Wild Palm :)
