Youth-Dew Limited Edition

This is absolutely divine! I only tried it for the first time yesterday, and I was completely knocked out with the beauty of it! It's wonderful. It has INSTANTLY become my signature scent!!!!! I am not very experienced in the perfume world, and have really only begun wearing perfumes passionately in the last year, so it's all pretty new for me, and I never in my wildest dreams imagined that I could love anything as much as I do perfumes. I am completely obsessed!!! And this one!!! Oh goodness me; it is supreme!!! So delicious! Rich and spicy; very luscious flowers; very rich and juicy rose - almost like a rich liqueur - very fruity, like the fruit in a spicy plum pudding. The delicious, opulent patchouli, and my other favourite flowers along with rose; lily-of-the-valley, jonquil and jasmine....with beautiful lavender....and the vetiver which I absolutely love! I love the peppery, spicy, smoky, bitter-chocolate, musty smell of vetiver; and the moss, which gives it depth and mystery, and adds to the richness and moistness. The whole thing is totally ravishing; sensual, enticing, strong and lovely - indescribable! I absolutely adore it. It's so .....so.....GORGEOUS!!!! RAVISHING!!!!!

Youth-Dew is the one and only perfume for me. It is the ONLY perfume I wear. It's my true passion of love and gloriousness. I adore the rich, spicy, oriental, luscious, deep, sensual, potent, creamy, sophisticated elegance of it. It is the best and most magnificent perfume in the entire world. In the entire cosmos. I am completely in love with it. In love....in love....in LOVE. It is DIVINE. I love it SO much, I spray it on every few hours, just to go through the whole evolution of the wonderful smells again....and again.......and again..........ad infinitum. I relish the rich potency. I would like to have a bath in it, with all my clothes on, so that my clothes and myself are saturated in the magnificent aroma. Forever and ever......amen. And an amazing thing is, I get compliments galore whenever I go out anywhere! No-one has ever shown, in any way whatsoever, that the smell is too much for them. Ever! I only get complimented. True!!! And my husband adores it on me as much as I do. He even sometimes puts a squirt on himself every once in a while! We both love it completely.. It is the nectar of the Gods!!!! EXQUISITE!!!

It's Interlude add Christmas cookies! ❤️❤️❤️ I was looking for an Interlude dupe when Chat GPT suggested this one. It was never marketed as a dupe but it shares that same sultry dark mystique. This beast of a formula lasts forever on skin, on clothing, in the air! It's deceptively sweet and powdery especially after it blooms, while maintaining a very mature, animalic floral accord that is both a little dusty and musky but in the best way. There's a reason people think "old lady scent" for perfumes like this, because it's so well done they're still making it 60 years later! My bottle is authentic but just over 3 years old and likely why it was so cheap. However! With how good this smells and how long it lasts, I'd say it's at the perfect age. Like prime, matured, most expressive stage of development. I'm still blown away and I put this on for the first time, over 6 hours ago! 9.5/10 Amazing perfume but an acquired taste.

I love this beautiful perfume more than any other. It is perfect. Rich and strong, smooth, deliciously spicy, with the uplifting flowers and a real fruitcake aroma. So so so beautiful. And I think the bottle and the colour of the liquid are sublime. The bottle is so wonderful - so elegant and feminine; and easy to hold and spray. But it has such a lovely feel to it too. It's all so gorgeous.

I've only just turned 35 and fell in love with Youth Dew a few years back... especially the oil. That cola note on first spray is just addictive. It's cozy, comforting, warm and sensual but not remotely sweet

UPDATE - On a whim, I layered this with Chantilly (Dana) and... I think I have found my new signature. It comes so close to Shalimar and it actually has staying powder. The Chantilly did not last on my skin solo but this blend is amazing. I'm so happy right now! Am 60+ and never tried this one. It's not as "old lady" as I expected. I hated it the first time I tried it. It was too masculine-leaning/soapy/dry smelling. I did what I always do with something that doesn't immediately work & let it set around for a few weeks. It's gotten better but still needs some time. At this point, I don't get the soapy smell as much & after about 10-15 minutes, it smooths out to a nice, clean, fresh-from-a-bath scent. Kind of anonymous-smelling, but nice. I can't wait to see what this is like in a few more weeks (months) because the longevity is amazing - not something I can say about many fragrances now that my body chem has "matured" LOL

Hi, it seems I've stumbled into a nest of perfume love... But, I really dislike arpiege by Lanvin the black bottle and maybe the purple bottle, I dislike tresor and euphoria which are all in the list of what "people who like this also like..." I don't mind revlon unforgettable... and I have and like eternity by Calvin Klein which I see is there.. What is this Estée Lauder like? I would like a tester if anyone has got one. I am in New Zealand. I have some other Estée Lauder frags, what could I liken this youth dew one to...? I dislike opium by YSL.... am I right in thinking this is similar to an 80's heavy hitter?? Sample...... Thanks

Love Youth Dew and excited to try the new edition. I have only been able to wear YD in later years as it did not suit my chemistry back in the 60s/70s when it was THE fragrance to wear in school and around South London if you wanted to be considered grown up, fashionable and chic! I tried and tried it, but i turned it to smelling like cat pee until now I am in my 50s i can wear it with glee ! There was an imitation that i wore called Styxx that did suit my chemistry; I wonder if anyone else remembers Styxx; I remember it as a solid perfume. I also used to love Aqua Manda in the 70s.

On the noze- why doubt that a person under 35 could appreciate a vintage? Fragrance really has no age, especially when it comes to simply appreciating it. Sorry, I had to say something because it is that attitude that pre-programs many younger people into thinking that they won't or shouldn't like vintages (when they might've loved them had they gone in with an open mind) or that it is somehow inappropriate because of one's age. Fragrance should be sniffed blindly and unbiasedly, with an open mind. It's art. Art has no age, gender, or other barriers. Art is for everyone.

To DJ lightblue, Yes, Youth Dew is a heavy heavy 1980's frag that is almost 'thick' with vintage style. I don't know about it reformulations but the bottle I had was headache material if applied to close to the nose or too liberally I have no idea how the name Youth Dew got applied to naming of this frag. It's not 'young' nor is it 'dewy'. I compare it with bal a Versailles by Jean Desprez and Opium am YSL and KarlLargerfeld KL. If you're under 35 years old, I doubt you'd have an appreciation for these older frags! But you never know, give it a try

I sampled this one today....it is the exact same as the regular one....meaning it is the same watered down one they have been selling since 2010 or so... even the bottle is the same...the only difference is an encrusted bow around the middle instead o the gold bow... and they charge around $20 more for this one..... Lord I guess things at Lauder has gotten bad too..

Funny......I wear YD for years now. The trick is that it has to settle in and breathe a bit. I find it insane that THIS "limited edition" gets all "LOVE" and "LIKE" votes, yet the regular page for YD is nearly pure hate. Did anyone read that it is the same scent, just in a different bottle? I have tried both side by side and find them to be the same.

I'm excited to smell this perfume. If you like the Youth-Dew Amber Nude should be fantastic. The bottle is wonderfully elegant. Estée Lauder for me is one of the best creators of perfumes ever, surely this will be a great perfume.

Reminds me of my mother. Now I can make the Coca Cola note connection, also cinnamon. It’s definitely a statement fragrance, blotting it could work well.
