Noble Spirit

This fragrance is just fabulous. Easily in my top 5, and nudging me to put it on the winner's rostrum and hand it the 'signature' medal. The listed notes are : HEAD: Cinnamon, Cistus, Incense, Black Pepper HEART: Rose, Oud BASE: Cashmere, Patchouli, Sandalwood What that mix creates, according to my nose, is a kind of woody, green and spicy scent that's just perfectly described by the perfume's name. There's this kind of lovely, slightly bitter herby vibe to it also which is more like a vetiver although vetiver is not one of the ingredients. It's somewhere on the spectrum between 'fresh' and 'warm'. I love it, really love it. Longevity is good, I can still get detectable whiffs of this in the evening after spraying in the morning. Projection is also good and I can smell this on me without having to insert my arm or wrist up my nostril. All in all, this is just superb. I'm very, very tempted to buy another 2 or 3 bottles for back up. I'd be very upset if they ever stopped making this.

I really wanted to love this. I even begged to get a sample. It sounded right up my street. The opening is slightly gourmand and promising becoming increasingly peppery eventually leaving you with an unerringly accurate rendition of burnt brake disk dust after a hard track day or more unfortunately a burnt rubber gasket in the washing machine. It certainly conjures up images of ruggedness, but neither is it particularly pleasant nor is this is a people pleaser. Does it matter? It's art for art's sake and that's a good thing.
